“#AlchemyOfSouls” Responds To Reports Of The Female Lead Changing In Part 2https://www.soompi.com/article/1535355wpp/alchemy-of-souls-responds-to-reports-of-the-female-lead-changing-in-part-2Jung…
Loving this news! First, this is to confirm that we will have 10 more episodes after the 20 episodes part one. Second, I have been hoping we would see Go Yoon Jung's Nak Soo in part one but it appears she could only be appearing in flashback at this point. Yes, this news is spoiler by itself but it makes me more eager to watch how the rest of the story in Part one unfold, and even more so in how the "original" Nak Soo would reappear in Part two.
Excited to see how her relationship with brooding lawyer guy will turn out.
If there were anything to develop between those 2. Rami will be thr one to initiate and create her opportunities to show up at the firm. I don't see WYW is the kind of bringing coworkers to my dad's restauarnt kind of person.
“Woo to the Young to the Woo, Dong to the Geu to the Rami” and then dab. SOO F**king CUTE !!!! I love their…
I hope to see more flashback about how the relationship between these 2 developed overtime, paricularly the unique, signature greetings they invented. I bet it was another super cute moment.
Her father may not have a lot of screen time and half of his scenes are flashbacks. However, it's no denial that he is a great dad and without him, WYW wouldn't become what and who she is today. I wish we will see some good personal story and happiness for this guy.
the saddest part to me in episode 3 was when the judge overruled the attorney's objection of the discriminatory…
I agree. However, it's a very powerful writing. The scene, together with a few other interaction and behavior of others, contribute to the decision WYW made at the end of the episode.
Besides all the secrets that have yet to be revealed, I wonder if there are more evil plans in the making by Jin Wu. Other than switching souls, we don't know his skill level as a mage. I hope someone evil, maybe controlled by him, if not himself, will be revealed later. That will give Hang Uk the ultimate motivation to get trained and become the best mage in that world. Maybe he will decide to sacrifice his relationship with MD to achieve that goal.
Looks like Naksu's father was done dirty and Naksu's revenge is misguided. Why did her father go wild and started…
Timing of the flashback event is not clear. Did Naksu's family tragedy around the time Jang Uk was born? Her dad could havw been in charge of the birth record and as Jang Uk's dad changed his birth record so that people would not know he was in fact thr former King's son. He had a reason to kill him. But i also think there are more events before that. Ight we have yet been told.
So The Lesbian thing in episode two .,, Why ?? What is the connection between falling dress in her wedding and…
The key underlying issues of the case in this episode - 1. An immature, low self esteem daughter, pairing with a dominating father who decides everything in their family and run the family like a CEO running a company 2. It's an arranged marriage. Neither the groom not the bride love the other 3. The lawsuit is about getting 10 billion Korean won from the hotel
The breakthrough is the daughter's decision to take the first steop and make the first decison on her own - by telling the judge she wants to withdraw the case.
The story could work even if she didn't have a person in love or if that person were male to fit the expectations of a boarder audience. However, as WYW is not a typical lawyer, we should expect the show to continue exploring other characters and experience that are different.
If the couple went through their marriage, they probably would eventually file for divorce and all the points you brought up can be valid in the divorce proceedings.
Here is a list of the top moat expensive kdramas made (Aug, 2021) https://www.tatlerasia.com/culture/entertainment/hk-most-expensive-korean-dramas Arthdal Chronicle is #1 at 54 billion won (estimate). We know AC was massive with a huge and expensive cast, location shootings overseas, etc. Alchemy Souls shouldnt be close to that but i will be curious to see their final expense

I wonder how the budget of this drama compared to other high budget kdramas. Unlike some of the period kdramas, where the buildings and outdoor set are familiar, they seems to include some expensive sets to make themselve stand out. Special effects and post production CGI are not cheap neither.
Does anyone know if this is considered Kang Ki Young's first main role or at least 1st time as 2nd ML? He has been around about 10 years now and I have seen him in numerous supporting role. Great actor but the competition to be ML is very tough in Kdrama. This is not doubt a hit drama already so I hope this would help his career as well.
After the first episode, it has become the top drama on my watch list. Park Eun Bin never stop amazes me with her performance. Casts for the supporting and guest roles are strong as well. It's such a warm hearted story and has the ingredients to be very popular. I will be watching this drama with laughs and tears for the weeks to come.
