Solid Snake

its an okay SoL series. good cast. decent plot. very likable characters. imo sports part is a letdown and there were some clear problems with editing. tbh plot only warrants around 10 eps and stretching out created issues with pacing and direction (esp in latter half). but its an enjoyable watch and strongly recommended to those who enjoy this genre :)

first 2 eps were really weak. too uninspired and lacking in plot. not feeling cliche setup of ML-FL dynamic or side characters. main cop acting like a man child half the time is not helping either :/

I watched first 2 eps and I'll double down on my movie take below :/

her character can be easily written as one of the better supporting character with a few tweaks in the storyline :/

2 SL's making some not so bright decisions to glorify Yo Han's presence in this series really undercuts its potential.

I've been saying this. majority of asian writers can't properly write female characters *smh*

'hiding everything' is an exaggeration here. atleast one of them is there for the other when smth happens. like Song Hwa for Suk Hyung & Jung Won, Ik Jun for Song Hwa & Jun Wan etcetra.
also they've been friends for a really long time. they respect each others privacy coz they all know that with time other person will share it with them.

lol they're middle aged people not teenagers who feel the need to tell their friends everything as it happens.

when SML follows around and professes love to FL- aww. he's so cute. he deserves the world.
when roles are switched- she should get out of his life. this series would be better w/o her character.

lol it seems like viewers in this forum are more focused on romance than slice of life part of series. way too much anticipating rather than enjoying what's going on rn.

I am quite certain that Ik Jun purposely told Jun Wan that there're no seats available on train so he'll take the bus back and Ik Sun will be there. In the beginning of ep, she told him when and how she'll be back in Seoul :/

ep 8 was good esp old parents/grandparent being patients part. got me a bit emotional on Song Hwa's conversation with her mom as well.

can't say anything about that till I watch it. in a few rare instances, stories have potential to go beyond 1 season esp when seasons are short. though I also prefer them to wrap up everything in 1 only. I don't like to be left hanging for years only to be let down by next installment :/

lol he really takes no shit from others and puts it like it is. ML-FL dynamic is quite intriguing. I am excited to see where they go from here.

When ML told off FL outside restaurant in ep 12 was a great scene. telling her that she brought this on herself and calling her 'obsequious employee'.

lol I expected situation in ep 11 to get resolved by a different route. like through IP laws or smth :/

lol screenwriter of both 'original script' and this series is same. person decided to put forward a different version and so called 'original' was put in the bin. direction or execution won't cause this much of a shift anyway :/
I will agree on your point about supporting characters. there is potential to be smth great but it wasn't tapped into. as a matter of fact, they were thoroughly underdone. and it mainly happened coz of excessive focus on ML even if it meant taking agency of the rest of the characters away. there's nothing organic about any of them (besides niece maybe) :/

new trailer shows that series will def hit some serious notes :/
