Last 3-4 eps were a step down from other eps. Reiko quitting/retaking/quitting again from editor position + random breakup/ love triangle derailed this drama. Reiko's character over all could've been better explored imo. I agree with most of other comments, its alright. But it could've been so much more.
I've been waiting for over 2 months for this. These kinds of stories need some amazing music, direction and cinematography and ofc acting. I have some high hopes from this one.
Ba reum suffered a pretty bad head injury and survived a death encounter like synopsis suggests. He's gonna start exhibiting more violent behavior after this. Killing that birdie was just a beginning for him. His character is gonna start changing. Moo chi will be given a task force to catch these kinds of serial murder cases and BR will be helping MC catch them. BR's character will become something like Will Graham from Hannibal. and that final big bad will the same serial killer not yet caught.
If the serial killer turns out to be Ba reum than it'll only be for shock value and kinda ridiculous. The guy stopped the courier at tv station, went to metro station and found the pendrive in locker, went to police station to recover data and talked to Moo chi about his findings. For him to be the serial killer, he also has to talk to Moo chi in b/w through burner phone, drop that phone in someone's bag, go from police station to church to kill the priest on a live feed, hang his body and do some spray-paint with blood on wall behind him, engage in a combat with Bong Yi, get back to police station unnoticed. All these events happen in an hour, I think. Also most importantly, fake a leg injury. Also he cannot be the one who tried to kill his friend Chi Kook coz he was in canteen at that time with other members who were performing for prisoners.
Ep 5 was so ridiculous, my god. airing a murder on live tv. I mean its a drama but c'mon. I knew Moo chi/Ba reum made that risky gamble and outcome turned out to be horrible.
Seo Jin/Agnes inventing those groundbreaking ALS drugs (to save her mom's life) is another instance of bootstrap paradox, isn't it? Sigma probably got those drugs from Seo Jin herself in the future. 2020 SJ probably reverse engineered the dose she receives from Sigma.
I've been wondering about this since beginning- Who is controlling the uploader in future after war? or who're higher ups that President Park talks about sometimes?
yeah ep 8 closing shot with SH sitting beside her grave in the sun + that drone shot of SH standing at the edge right before she sees her grave were good. BGM was also good in the scene. pretty much all BGMs used in this drama are nice.
the diary narration of Seo Hae at the end of ep 8 is a bootstrap paradox, right? She knew she was going to die so she must've written it before hand. She remembers that part from diary when she already read it back in her past which made her come to the past.
It feels like a misdirect again coz little boy is wearing a mask so we don't know if its him or not. I'm not going to jump the gun and believe anyone is the serial killer until I see that person onscreen doing the killing.
Moo Chi prob couldn't figure out the standard of killer choosing victims. That's why he decided to broadcast a fake murder of little boy on TV. Ba Reum will act as killer. There's a video camera in that room. MC is using this situation to control the narrative around serial killings and draw out the real serial killer.

I gotta say ep 7 ending was quite satisfying.
