I was sort of bowled over when it turned out to be a film within a film, but the romance between Camp and Talay, very rocky from the start and only became a thing near the end, kept you wondering if it was ever going to get there. Talay, older than Camp by a few months and taller, displayed a certain concern and affection for Camp throughout their ghostly experience and let Camp's brusqueness pass without letting it get to him. It has to be remembered they reconnected through a dating app but their history with June got in the way of real feelings for each other developing sooner until the climactic scene where the internal film ended. The way this two-parter was put together mixed real life and horror/fiction into a cohesive plot, which was clever in a way. I liked those two young boys and I hope we see them together again in a future production.

I loved everything about this series that kept me glued to the screen as I watched each episode, but I have to say that after Jom read Khun Yai's letter on the back of his drawing, his sudden appearance was the most unconvincing time travel from 1928 to the present I have ever seen, heartwarming and needful as it may be to close this chapter on their extraordinary love affair. Let's hope Series 2 explains better how Jom travelled even further back in time to meet Khun Yai the warrior, now sporting an awful black moustache. In the meantime, there's going to be a special episode: see https://www.bilibili.tv/en/video/4789091729670144?bstar_from=bstar-web.ugc-video-detail.related-recommend.all for the trailer.
1) When Gu and Tew left the restaurant, they left the strawberry cake behind. 2) The more I see of Wahl, the less I like him and the way he seems so possessive of Guy and jealous that he's found another friend. I predict Wahl is going to be nothing but trouble as the series progresses. The bit after the end credits explains how Wahl was able to find Guy with Tew. If there's a standoff between Tew and Wahl, I think Tew will win.
Aww. Tew is already falling head over heels in love with Guy in episode 2. He looks so smitten with him. And Guy,…
I think it's highly unlikely Guy will talk sense into Wahl - he's not the sort to be confrontational, but I agree with you about Wahl, he is as someone else said, a walking red flag.
why does this have 8 rating when it only has one episode out?
I think this show promises to be interesting and entertaining, the male leads are attractive and it has an original storyline that's not been used in a BL series to my knowledge so I'm scoring it with a standard 8.
"Oh, how the mighty have fallen," as they say in the classics. Nasty Robert and Dech are carted off to prison, Kun Yai's father is humiliated by his bad judgement and everyone else rejoices with the turn of events, so it was especially good to see Khun Yai and Jom find happiness again in each other's arms, though with Jom becoming a spectre of himself, once again his immediate future becomes uncertain and that of his relationship with Khun Yai.
The romance between Vee and Sky is advancing at a snail's pace and for some unknown reason, Janus and Bomb aren't even aware it's happening. Generally, I find this series rather dull and the episodes are far too long at 70 minutes; nothing much would have been lost if they came in at 50 minutes.
This may have begun on TikTok but its transition to YouTube has changed the format to full-screen 30 minute episodes so there will be 6 episodes. That said, it's a welcome change from most Philippino BL series with a thankfully much reduced cast of essential characters, the main ones being 18yo Charlie who is captivated by his new handsome, older and mysterious neighbour, Mico, who we often see topless and he has a great smile. The series revolves around Charlie trying to involve Mico in his life, an endeavour encouraged by his unusually gay supportive father. I have no complaints about the sound, dialogue, acting and production values. A very likeable series and should be on your watch list.
So many twists and turns in an ever-developing plot, but what stands out for me is the excellent acting in the heavy emotional scenes. I think at last Mew and Top have decided they really love each other and want to be together but along comes Boeing who is becoming the disrupter the more we see him. He needs to be banished. With Ray and Sand, the problematic one is Ray, but he at least has some insight into his own failings and is ready to admit them. I'm sure they'll make it through together. The award for malicious intent goes to Atom for lying and throwing a bomb into Boston's social circle, making him an outcast, but the most pleasing development, however, was the heart-to-heart between Nick and Boston, both of them flawed characters - Boston more so - resulting in them realising they're perfect for each other and quickly making up, leading to an inevitable sex scene.

You Are My So(ul) Mate was trite, full of nonsense, Emmy overacted, the boys were all relatively attractive, then ended with an insipid kiss from Bud and Korn. My Universe is not getting any better.
So much going on in this series with so many friendships and relationships in various stages, everything from stability to crisis with a constantly changing aspect for each couple. I'm glad that Ray returned to Sand and that Mew has come to realise, as all his friends have already, that he's destined to be with Top. However, the scene that stood out the most for me was the one between Nick and Boston in the restroom when Nick sought out Boston to say his final goodbye and tell him what he really thought of him and what was in his heart. Most affecting and it unexpectedly hit Boston like a bomb, so much so that he dumped the boy he was about to get off with. Boston is a player of the first order who tells himself that true love is not for him and who can be callous when someone tries to get close to him but at that moment he realised Nick is different, the result of which we'll see next week. This pleases me immensely.
It took a while but finally with Ep. 6 things moved up a notch and there was progress in the various relationships. Best episode so far though it starts from a low bar.
If it wasn't for the really awful and ostensibly unnecessary bad dubbing, this series would have rated better. The story and acting were adequate and it picked up in the last two episodes. That said, it's hard to give this a positive recommendation but as it has a reasonable cast with a few well-known actors plus some other good-looking ones thrown in for good measure, if you've nothing else to watch it will pass the time.
The only word I can come up with to describe this show is pedestrian. Very little happens from episode to episode. At least Venus isn't entirely indifferent to Sky's overtures now and seems to be slowly falling for him. The other characters barely register with me or I just find them dull.
It's definitely getting better and better. A cross between a romcom and a sitcom with a gay vibe, the two stars have developed great chemistry together in a fast-paced, slightly goofy soon-to-be office romance. I'm really enjoying this and when it's over, I'll consider watching all episodes back to back sometime in the future.
Another great episode in a superb series. I can understand the excitement and rush of love Khun Yai feels for Jom and the ever present danger that accompanies their moments of intimacy and unbridled passion. Their dancing scene that pivoted from reality in the garden to fantasy in the ballroom which ended with everyone applauding them then back again to the garden and their impassioned kiss was a beautiful cinematic stroke of genius. The music for the soundtrack captures the various moods to a tee. Talking of music, the string quartet at the party rates a special mention, first playing a little Mozart and then what accompanied Khun Yai dancing with the young lady he knew as a child - Nimrod from the Enigma Variations by Elgar - surely the first time it's been played as a transcription for string quartet and definitely as music for the dance. So much thought and care has gone into the making of this series. Kudos to everyone involved.
