Binge-watched this over four days. It got better and better. Terrific plot, great script, wonderful acting, excellent production and direction. Both Sun and Jay were riveting; their love scenes smouldered, and the kissing was intense. You couldn't ask for more. 8.5 from me.
A weird little series, unfocused, no real storyline, has an inappropriate teacher/student relationship but the boys are all rather cute, the only thing that saved it from being terrible.
Quite a delightful romp with two attractive and adorable couples. I also think this is TayNew's best series yet, and they've been around for a long time. Indeed, they still possess that on-screen magic that only long-time partners can generate.
In the end, it didn't add up to much. It concentrated too much on loss and grief. The three main boys were cute, especially the boy who played Junjio, who I can only describe as pretty; there is something exceptional about his beauty. There was lots of talk about love. Junjio loved BF1 and he loved him back, but unfortunately he dies half way through. BF2 is infatuated with Junjio but keeps it in check. So, there's no kissing at all. There could have been. That detracted it from it overall, and conbined with the somewhat sombre tone of the story, it's no surprise there's little enthusiasm for this series.
Gao Ran is a force of nature. He meets the innocent and attractive Chen Yan Di and it's lust at first sight. There is no chance of resistance. So they bicker, they drink, and eventually end up in bed together. For Chen Yan Di, it is his first time and ends up smitten with Gao Ran. Indeed, who wouldn't. He's sexy and gorgeous. What was supposed to be a fling turns into something more. In five short episodes, the story is told deftly and decisively. I liked it very much and would be delighted to see these two in a more substantial movie or series.
A rather low-key romance between two adorable young guys that was light in the telling but it squandered the potential for better plot development, especially towards the end when all of a sudden they're boyfriends with the only kiss happening before then. Still, it was mildy enjoyable and it would be lovely to see more of them together.
Due to my being so far behind in my viewing schedule, I binge watch all series these days, which is not such a bad thing as it allows one to keep up with the flow of the drama. Once I got into this teenage romance, I couldn't wait to immerse myself in this idyllic world just prior to the digital age where friendships were real, kids rode around on bikes, formed a close knit gang and amused themselves with a variety of activities instead of being glued to their phones or endlessly playing video games, and that ultimately is how we end up with three couples. Ko1 and Ko2 was destined to be one, and not far behind were Augar and Achi, then a distant third, August (Augar's brother) and Tle (such a weird name; how on earth is it pronounced?) that didn't progress beyond a certain point because the actor playing Tle got into some kind of trouble and was sacked, though he did apologise; I hope he makes a comeback real soon.
There have been many teenage BL romantic dramas over the years and most of them have come from GMMTV. Their capacity and ability to produce them with an endless variety of actors and storylines never fail to entertain and hold my attention for their duration. When Oranges Fall was particularly good, with superb cinematography and a cast of young actors who vividly brought their characters to life, helped by a remarkable script that covered a period of about three years, in which we saw the characters grow and mature as they lived their daily lives in an ordinary town by the sea, going to school and finally to university. It was a joy to watch, each episode leaving me smiling and wanting to see the next one, with no disagreeable characters in sight - a rare blessing these days, and for that, coupled with what I've said already, it deserves the 9 I eventually rewarded it with.
Eps. 1 and 4 are the only gay episodes and both feature the same couple though for some peculiar reason, they both have different names. In both episodes, they stay at the same small boutique hotel.
This was actually very good, though the plot, especially with the villains, needs to be more convincing. It certainly deserves a higher score than 6.7; I gave it an 8.0. The centre of attention was, of course, on Brix and Harry, but by the end I preferred the second couple, Leo and Kenner. Their love was unexpected, unplanned, just two lonely hearts who became attracted to each other and fell in love. As in all good BL dramas, things get very rocky towards the end but somehow everything works out well (or justifiably badly) for everyone, leaving us with happiness and joy, as the two couples reflect on what just happened, so it's all very satisfying. The acting overall is good, the actors are attractive, and the songs throughout, especially the theme song, fit very nicely. Oxin Films should be pleased with themselves for this fine achievement.
A series that stands out for its sympathetic and non‑judgmental portrayal of two boys in a Catholic boarding school who fall for each other and, remarkably, never face the expected condemnation or moral panic from those around them. When the Father (Headmaster) eventually learns the truth, he offers wise counsel and a genuinely compassionate ear instead of reprimand. Gemini and Fourth deliver beautifully nuanced, utterly believable performances — so different from anything they’ve done before.
One visual moment that stays with me occurs in the dormitory: Barth on the top bunk, Tanrak on the lower. Barth reaches down with the tip of his finger, and Tanrak reaches up to meet it. It’s an unmistakable nod to Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam — that breath‑thin gap symbolising the spark of life, soul, and free will. The fingers don’t touch, and that gap is the whole point of being human. For Tanrak, the struggle between earthly desire and his Catholic faith is real, but brief; in the end, his love for Barth wins out.
Their love feels almost ethereal — beyond desire, almost spiritual — in the way they understand and devote themselves to one another. There is nothing else like this in the canon of BL series, and it is a credit to everyone involved that they created something so singular and so quietly profound.
A disarmingly charming bit of Korean BL fluff. Well done in every way from start to finish, even if it was on the short side. Loved the swap back at sunset on the beach with true love's kiss. Perfect.
The word I would use to desccribe this series is enchanting. It may have disappointed many viewers, but I'm not one of them. We first saw Peak and Pearl in 'Love in the Moonlight ', where their love for each other managed to endure despite a multitude of restrictions and setbacks. They again proved their onscreen chemistry was worth repeating here in 'Flower Boy', where they were perfectly cast. Set in the mountains of Thailand, Gaysorn is a young man who is a member of the Mudin, a secret tribe that shuns the modern world because of the fragrant scent their bodies exude - in the case of males, when they're in love. Gaysorn leaves his mountain paradise in search of what happened to his mother in Bangkok, where he meets Scent, the son of the owner of a perfume company and they fall in love. The mystery of where the mother is and if she's alive or dead takes up most of the plot, during which time Gaysorn and Scent have parted ways. Nevertheless, as with most BL dramas, events conspire to bring them together again for a happy ending. This one was gentle, set in a field of flowers and was most affecting. The cinematography was particularly beautiful, with a rich tapestry of colour. Everyone played their part very well. I can't help but note that Peak, who played Gaysorn, has been in the BL industry for ten years now. His first appearance in the series 'Make it Right' set his career in motion, and it has been a varied one. Being partnered with Pearl, it's like he's on a second wind, and it's a credit to him that he has aged so well and continues to grace our screen with great performances in the two series he's done with Pearl. May they continue to do so.

It's definitely worth watching. I just binge watched it over four days and it goes from light to dark about three times until everything sorts itself out. The performances are outstanding and I love the contrast between the two brothers and their respective lovers. There's a lot of kissing. In the end, it's always about family, supporting each other and trying to find true happiness, and they do. The younger brother reaches it first and easily; with the older brother, it's far more complicated, and it is that story which the drama concentrates on. All these themes are fully explored, making it a most rewarding experience by the time one has reached the end.
It's light, entertaining, Nagi is quite adorable and it bubbles along till the very end. In a word, delightful. You won't find it on Kissasian, but it is on Boys Love Factory. Catch it if you can.
I'm so behind watching series (Elvanar is to blame), and I've now caught up with this major one from One31 and GMMTV that returns to the tried and true formula for all great BL shows, a messy and at times intense romantic drama with three main couples and lots of welcome cameos in the latter episodes from main characters in the first series. Normally, I'd watch this in weekly instalments, but this time I saw it over a period of six days and that makes the viewing experience more powerful. It is always the indiscretion, no matter how minor or even if what was seen is taken out of context, that causes such incredible drama and usually takes a while to resolve. On these shows, they occur frequently. Indeed, without them, the shows would be over in half the time. In this one, I found it all very engrossing, with no boring moments, and each episode sped by, a testament to the talent of the writers, actors, and the director, who all did a sterling job.
