On I Will Knock You Dec 17, 2022
(Ep. 5) The dynamic between Thi and Noey is different, to say the least, but it works. Very gradually, Thi is coming out of his shell and not being so dorky or cowering frequently but he's still indecisive while Noey has sensed that Thi is attracted to him and in his own narcissistic way is coming on to Thi rather gently despite his bully image and ostensibly liking Pam (who doesn't like him, so that will go nowhere). There's also an element of vanity in Noey changing Thi's hairstyle to imitate his (but it only lasted for one scene). All up, it's a most agreeable series, light on plot and easy on the eyes, a light-hearted and fairly mindless interlude that keeps one smiling.
On Oh! My Assistant Dec 16, 2022
(Ep. 6) If only Muyeong would ask Shin about the girl who he thinks is his girlfriend, then Shin would be able to tell him she's his editor and then they could move on. How much longer can this state affairs go on? It's just irritating.
On Oh! My Assistant Dec 15, 2022
(Ep. 5) I'm sure that the writers are trying to keep the confusion that exists between Shin and Muyeong going for as long as possible, basically because neither of them will speak their mind and open up about what they're really thinking or feeling about each other. At this point, Muyeong doesn't realise that Shin is meeting with his editor and erroneously thinks she is his girlfriend. Muyong's friend by the end of the episode only complicates matters. It's manhwa, so it is what it is.
On Ai Long Nhai Dec 13, 2022
Title Ai Long Nhai
Not a great series by any stretch of the imagination, it didn't have much of a plot and the dialogue merely kept things alive, but I liked it none the less, mostly because Ai and Nhai were so adorable together and one could sense the love between them was real and will be everlasting. They were very open about it and their families were fully supportive of them. The writers and producers wanted a fairly light and fluffy romcom and that's exactly what they gave us. I'm not complaining. It was escapism and I'm all for it.
On Between Us Dec 12, 2022
Title Between Us
(Ep. 6) Slowish, but the story is moving along. Win and Team are providing the real drama, Win having to get over his issues before he can say he's in love with Team, but it's the side couples who are adding to the interest. I find Bee quite adorable and I think his infatuation with Prince is something even he finds surprising. Prince is going out of his way to spend time with Bee but he's still remaining aloof to a point. The potential for romance is strong. Tul and Waan are more problematic in a number of ways. They got to know each other as game partners and play while on the phone with each other and more recently, Waan has let himself confide in Tul who is a good listener, but Waan doesn't realise that Tul is T-Rex, his phone alias while Tul knows exactly who he's with. Tul is drawn to Waan and jumped at the chance to go back to his place, then to not only sleep in his bedroom but in his bed. Yacht, who plays Tul, came to prominence as Pond in Love by Chance (2018) in which he is very straight and where his over-the-top performance left an indelible impression in a good way. He has always played straight roles. Will this change here?

Finally, the side story (which is actually an ad for a soft drink brand) and allowed the episode to end with some light relief. It was actually funny haha. Team is drinking it with friends when Win suddenly shows up and gives him a peck on the cheek, shocking his friends and giving forth their humourous reactions. Perfectly acceptable in the context of the show but it's hard to imagine something similar if it was done in a Western ad.

I suppose the operative word for this series is bittersweet. It had an unusual storyline but it was told intelligently, delicately and with great feeling. Considering the short life Koichi had, it is something of a blessing that he found true love with Mitchan and they became each other's Number One. With Koichi's passing, we had Mitchan's perspective followed by Koichi's perspective, leaving us at least with moments when they experienced happiness together. I am satisfied.
On 609 Bedtime Story Dec 7, 2022
(Ep. 1) This is better than I expected it would be and has an original and intriguing storyline, if a somewhat improbable one - a reverse parallel universe, whatever that is, where one person's first meeting (Mum) is with the other person's last meeting (Dew), meaning they knew that person already. They are played by Ohm and Fluke respectively who came to prominence in the tearjerking UWMA and later appeared in Oh! My Sunshine Night. Ohm has a reputation for being a bit expressionless and wooden in his acting though I still think he did a commendable job in both those series, and Fluke is remarkable for the way he can produce tears frequently and instantly. Here, Ohm is far more lively in every way which the part calls for and he rises to the occasion. As in so many BL series, a womaniser with no interest in men (Mum) suddenly turns gay with Dew, but he's not that convincing: in his scenes with women, he never kisses them on the lips and remains fully clothed, yet when he's with Dew, he allows him to kiss him repeatedly and very soon they are naked. Their lovemaking over, Dew turns to Mum and says in an urgent tone, "I love you," then suddenly they're confronted by someone who has managed to enter Mum's apartment and shoot Dew who appeared to know that it was about to happen. Realistically, wouldn't the door to the apartment have been locked? We just have to go with the flow as to how the story is presented. Nevertheless, I'll keep watching.

How about that: a penultimate episode without a major disaster and not ending with a cliffhanger. Regarding what others have said, the series may be a little lacklustre, doesn't require many brain cells to understand the plotline (not that there is much of one anyway) and is cute, fluffy and unproblematic, so it basically relies on the appeal of the two main characters, Ai and Nhai, which they have in spades. Their friends, now three side couples, are not romantically involved with each other and don't appear they will be, though I was hoping that Ton and Chon (who only appeared in the previous episode and is quite cute) might, but given Ton just broke up with his girlfriend of 8 years and sworn himself to chastity for the time being, that is unlikely. I'm just going with the flow and expect it to wind up in a way that keeps us all smiling.
On 2 Moons: The Ambassador Dec 4, 2022
Ep. 8 is the best episode so far, the highlight being the love scene with Lom and Tatch, so beautifully gentle and romantic. It gave me pause to think that those two boys probably didn't even know each other before the series began yet the chemistry between them is very high as can be seen by the way they look at each other and the ease with which they kiss and make love to each other. It's not only enjoyable for them but an enviable way to make a living. Lucky for some.
On Oh! My Assistant Dec 2, 2022
Just saw the second episode and it really is a most delightful series. Seon Ho is completely oblivious to the fact that Mu Yeong is gay and thinks he's cute but unfortunately straight. Never mind that Mu Yeong is strikingly gorgeous, even if his demeanour is a little on the severe side. How long our artist will remain straight is yet to be seen considering that Seon Ho's heart was pounding because of him in the first episode. He just has to loosen up and go with his feelings...
On Love in the Air: Special Episode Nov 30, 2022
This Special Episode is just what was needed and I was hoping for, as a follow-up to the series, bringing the two couples together going on a holiday, where else but to a beach resort somewhere, being Thailand. It was all fun and mind games, pitting the two boys against their older lovers all winning in the end. The dialogue was often silly, even cringe-worthy sometimes, though it's all that can be expected. It kept me smiling the whole time and everyone played their part to perfection. With such cute and adorable characters, it couldn't be otherwise.

Dammit, they just had to give Fah and Sher a happy ending. After all the grief and physical hurt Sher put Fah through, it's a miracle that Fah was so relentless in wanting Sher back and so, on cue, Sher once again melted into Fah's arms and despite some young queen trying to tear them apart so he could have Fah for himself (which of course, didn't work), their love endured. On the whole, I don't think it was quite as bad as most people have suggested. Their love affair was certainly one of the most tempestuous I have encountered, right up until the last episode. As for the side couples, they didn't add up to much and were basically adornments for the main couple, but thank goodness they were there for some relief from Sher's frequent temper tantrums. I don't expect to see them return as a couple in a new series; that would be a mistake.

A season finale that was low key, rather sentimental and tearful, not your usual fare, but it worked all the same, though their reunion after a year apart was really lame without a spark of passion or real delight. Nevertheless, it was a high quality production that hit all the right notes. In eight episodes, we saw the tumultuous relationship between Yai and Mangkorn develop from a chance encounter that led to lust and passion, going through all sorts of developments until they were headlong in love with each other. At the very end, the doorbell rings and it's a boy called Tao (Turtle), who knows Yai and stands before him and Mangkorn. Cue the announcement of a second season. Great. Just who is Tao and what part will he play in possibly causing a rift in their now established relationship? He looks insignificant to me. But that's for the future.

This has to be one of the oddest BL series I've ever seen. Even so, the story works and more importantly, the ongoing relationship between Koichi and Mitchan is sweet and touching. At this point (Ep. 6), we have to wonder how much longer Kochi is going to be around even for Mitchan to be able to see and feel him. Their time together is precious.

I found this to be a pleasantly enjoyable series, its strength lying in the two adorable leading boys, Tod (Kevin) and Boy (Pluem) who I felt are a perfect match and absolutely adorable. One can see why Pluem told Kevin he was cute so often. The ending was sweet and gentle as suited the plot and left one feeling fairly happy and contented. Good enough for me.

I read the book so and about to give you a spoiler!!!!@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@I read the book and can understand why it…
Thanks for your thoughtful and insightful reply which I found helpful. It does shed some light on the way the story was treated on screen and why these two characters were portrayed as we find them. Nevertheless, not having read the book, I think the screenwriters did the best they could with the material they had at hand from what I've read from other commentors but it still remains to be seen how it all ends. (I wonder if it will be close to what I have suggested. We'll see.)

This has to be one of the most unloved and disliked series for most viewers that I've come across and to be fair, the criticisms levelled at it are basically correct. In the penultimate episode, the two main characters, Fah and Sher, spent the whole time being miserable, with Fah desperate to be reunited with Sher and Sher responding to that against his better judgment by rebuffing all overtures of reconciliation while forever drowning his sorrows in copious amounts of alcohol, something he does regularly. The side characters who are there mostly to support these two don't add up to a lot and it is distasteful seeing an effeminate boy who is unlikeable thinking he has a chance with Fah chasing after him. How it will end I have no idea and for a change, I'm not rooting for a happy ever after finale because I don't think they deserve it, nor do I want to see those two paired in another series.

About time Yai stopped playing hard to get so it was all the more fulfilling to see Mangkorn and Yai in the most romantic episode of the entire series and really, their scenes together were among the most tender and beautiful I've ever seen. Of course, something came up at the end that could force them apart, this being the penultimate episode, but I'll worry about that next week and float there on a cloud of idyllic happiness and contentment.
