The cheaters are having a happy life. What about the law of cause and effect? I guess this is what the world has…
The doctor and the professor don't look that happy. A Mi seems to be getting more of charge out of baiting Dong Mi than spending time with Yoo Shin. (What happened with her acting career?) And Ga Bin looks like death.
Maybe it's a stretch to call this drama a work of art, but art reflects life and life is complicated.
At this point I only care about the kids and the professor needs to make amends with his daughter and gain her…
I agree. I do think the other plotlines have withered with the focus on Sa Hun and Song Won. I want to see how the professor's daughter is doing in college. I had hoped to see Shi Eun doll up a little, grab the moisture balm and use it herself, not give it to her daughter!
If the professor goes back to his family because Ga Bin dies or marries Dong Ma, who wins? The actor has such a sad aura.
Enjoyed tonight's episode , there's quite a bit of comic relief - when Seo Ban admitted that he is quite a colourless…
We should have a watch party tomorrow with ramen, kimbap and ttokbokki. The after show snack looked better than the 7 course meals that Dong Mi slaves over. (I do love how A Mi dives into the food without waiting for the "elders" or the "man of the house" to eat first).
that Sa Hoon new family part is really something and the way he treats Song Yuan is the same as he treated Hye…
I was surprised that Sa Hoon and Hye Ryung had been together for 10 years. Despite that past, all he can say about their early days is that she was "cool", not like other women. That's not enough to sustain a lifetime.
As a drummer (interesting that we never see her sessions with other musicians), HR was probably bohemian enough to intrigue the straight-laced lawyer. But after she got married and landed the radio job, she became boogie very quickly.
Looks like she's pulling out the same trick for Seo Ban, trying to dazzle him with the drumming. I doubt as an older man that he'll fall for her act. Pi Young and Shi Eun see right through it. We'll see tomorrow!
Everyone in this drama is so fucking fake. Pan Sa Hun, his family and the "lovely" mistress disgusts me. Ami and…
I agree with your comments about the kids. I don't care for Jia, who's a show off brat sprinkling in English when it's not necessary. I love Unam and his sister (name escapes me right now). Wish we could see more of her time at university. I think Shi Eun has gone through the least development as a character, so she's not as interesting to me.
I was nervous about Bada and the white sofa, but yes, the contrast between the old and the new is pointed. However, I am a little nervous for this couple. As much as I like Song Won, even I felt that the family's smugness about karma, PSH's enhanced status at work was too much. It seems that the damage from the press conference has been contained.
Just so people are aware, Pepop on MDL is TheQueenReturns/foreverempress from Soompi and has a habit of harassing…
Thank you for that. She believes that I'm HSMZ on Soompi. That's a lot of time spent on two forums, time spent away from her job as a licensed marriage family therapist.
Probably Shi Eun.. for some reason I still remember a comment way back and it sounded like his voice stating she…
Someone else said it best - a Stepford wife. SPY and Yoo Shin didn't have too many real conversations (even that one episode seemed more performative than real) - they were always congratulating other about perfect they were. SPY struck me as someone who spent way too much time molding Jia into her own image. Utter control freak. Again, not a justification to cheat, but women do have to invest in the marriage, not just the child. The only time she is seen as enjoying sex is with the silly dance, which was not sexy at all.
I agree with you 90% :) I don't think PSH and his parents are terrible. They did the best they could to accommodate…
She didn't feel protected enough to disclose her uterine issue? I don't think so. Had she disclosed the fact, they might have considered adopting SW's baby or at least talked about options. BHR was being sneaky, not scared. Does the spa scene suggest someone who is alone and sad about not being able to conceive?

When they first found out about the baby, his parents were upset. Of course they were indignant on BHR's behalf. But people generally don't stew in anger for very long. That would be unhealthy, for one thing, and his parents are nothing if not pragmatic. That's probably why they got so wealthy.
You expect them to to be loyal to BHR over SW, but relationships are a two-way street. PSH's mother was upset about the attention paid to Dong Mi, but she was more upset that her husband took her for granted all these years. Isn't that the same with BHR? She took her in-law's generosity for granted. Where was the appreciation? The effort to call them up once in a while to share some good news? She only called to cancel holiday plans (rather, she asked PSH to) or to ask them to do something. They always did what she asked; they don't have to like her personally on top of it. That gravy train has ended.
SW's MIL adored her because SW was the same then as she is with PSH's parents now. Kind and thoughtful. People may resent you for a mistake or a misdeed, but people also have the capacity to forgive and embrace.
That would be a cop out kind of ending, though. LSE doesn't do what BHR does because she fears the blowback to…
Yes, everything should be wrapped up by this weekend (as in , we'll find out if there's a season 3 too). I've spent a lot of time on this board and have made some friends (and enemies :).... All of that will end soon :(
Reading the comments in support of SW are baffling to me. Yes, she does seem to be polite, soft spoken and extremely…
I'm a fan of SW. What I find baffling are the comments that she is manipulative and sly. Do you really think that by talking to PSH at the gym initially that she was trying to entrap him into a second marriage? Aren't there easier ways of meeting people?
SW enjoyed her life as a single, with a respected career and a cozy apartment in Gangnam. The baby was simply a miracle, not the outcome of a plan. She is the same person with every character she meets, from the other two "mistresses" to PSH, to his parents and to Seo Ban (except of course for BHR). There is no reason for her to play a part for a different audience, unlike with the insecure BHR.
It truly takes two to try. I had forgotten, until I was reminded by another commenter, that BHR was about to end the marriage herself. Sure, she tried to make it work by trying to have a baby, but was that really because she loved PSH or because she wanted to win him back from SW?
PSH doesn't fall in love with SW because she's older and has the wisdom of a failed marriage behind her. He falls in love with her because she makes the effort to know him and shows care and concern. BHR has not tried to get to know ANY other character but herself. Seo Ban fell for SW after two conversations. After years of working together, SB and BHR don't know the first thing about each other.
After the lawyer was outed by his wife with the press conference, I can see similar outcomes with the other two.…
That would be a cop out kind of ending, though. LSE doesn't do what BHR does because she fears the blowback to her kids. Maybe the Ami meltdown recording goes public, but it seems that in Korea (or Kdramaland), people can track that down and sue pretty easily. Not worth risking a criminal charge for making public a private fight or a mental health breakdown. And that doesn't really resolve Yoo Shin or Dong Mi. But who knows - the writer has kept us guessing until now.
You have a very fixed idea of masculinity - as if it's PSH's responsibility to fix BHR's narcissism. As if clear…
Congratulations! Sounds like you're in this field as well. I do like Sue Johnston and the Gottmans. There wasn't much of a sound house, was there, for BHR and PSH? I agree that there is probably some intergenerational trauma that would explain BHR's narcissism and toxicity, but we don't get the back story there.

I think Seo Ban sees right through her. What's more, her co-workers are starting to as well. People reap what…
Hate is not the same thing as criticism. Hate takes up way too much energy. I hate Donald Trump and the rabid right wing element of American politics. I do not hate BHR or you, for that matter. I generally enjoy the back and forth about this drama. I just don't love the personal attacks on me or anyone else who thinks that the characters merit more understanding and analysis.

Totally loving Yoo Shin's and Hae Ryoon's misery.
