I think Seo Ban sees right through her. What's more, her co-workers are starting to as well. People reap what…
I hope you reconsider and check out Arang and the Magistrate! Not zombies but a fusion sageuk of the highest order: heaven/hell, reincarnation, self-referential comedy and the divine Lee Joon Gi. (LJG makes drinking Chilsung cider look hot). Jang Hyuk is right up there with Lee Tae Gon as exemplars of a different masculinity. Such eye candy. :)
You have a very fixed idea of masculinity - as if it's PSH's responsibility to fix BHR's narcissism. As if clear…
For the last time, I don't know who HSMZ is, but I will now look him/her up on Soompi because I'm curious. I don't have a problem with you, Crystal Kim, Diva70 or mini12 disagreeing with my opinions - and that's exactly what they are, opinions - but kindly refrain from personal attacks and disparaging characterizations such as "asinine".
As it happens, I am not a LMFT yet, but I am an MFTT (trainee).
I disagree...sge may not be tge most likable character but they now deserve everything that comes their way. Consequences…
Maybe it's because I was an English major, but I try to read the "text" (posts, drama itself) closely. I have never said that cheating is ok or that it's ok to dump a partner for someone who is better looking or kinder.
The "affair" was mostly emotional and they had sex once.

Thanks for the recommendations! I do like historical dramas. Right now, I'm struggling to get through Arthdal Chronicles, a novel take on the Tangun myth set in the Bronze Age. It seems like everybody who's anybody is in Arthdal; Lee Tae Gon would have made a splendid character running around in those furs.
I enjoyed this overall. I liked how it dealt with issues like cross-dressing and mental breakdowns. But I didn't think the last episode was convincing. Traumatized by both men's violence, how in the world did Min Kyung suddenly change her mind about moving away? Simply because Hwi Oh was beating up a suspect and not some random dude on the street? Hers was a deep-seated trauma. Hwi Oh's anger problems were very real.
I have relatives that cheated but honestly, I don't view them the same way I viewed them previously, to me it…
Agreed that Yoo Shin is manipulative. If he could have had it both ways, he would have. But I think he would have dumped A Mi gently and stayed with SPY if she had taken him back. He was also sorry about how she didn't get to say goodbye to her mother. The professor also tried to make a go of the marriage because of the kids, and decided again to leave. Just because he made that choice doesn't mean he doesn't regret the pain he caused. Song Won got along with her former in-laws very well, so her personality seems consistent. Korean elders like the Song Won type, and they don't like self-serving types like A Mi and BHR. Sagaji obso (rude, lacking manners and class).
I believe you and your husband are more in touch with each other than BHR and PSH were and would know if something was seriously wrong, so you could take preventive or restorative measures. But PSH could not get through to BHR because she's such a narcissist. Has no interest in anyone except for herself. As I said in a comment above about her going after Seo Ban, never before did she sit down and have a real conversation with him despite working closely with him. It was always flirty, poking him to see if he was single. But Song Won and he managed to have an in depth convo in only their second meeting. Reasonable people can put in the work to salvage a marriage. All BHR did was try to get pregnant.
BHR has no problems wreaking economic damage on her ex. That is devastating. She got what she wanted and she still wanted to poison the well.
Honestly, I don't think BHR is a gold digger but she's saying if you want to cheat on me and leave me I'm taking…
Sorry, but why else is she going after him? Because he's mysterious? I don't think he's physically attractive and come on, he's not setting the world on fire.
Sure, I get the desire to marry up. I can't knock her for trying. In the drama, there is nobody else with more money. But in all the years they've worked together, she has never taken the time to get to know him, whereas he and Song Won were able to take a deep dive in their second conversation.
Isn't that BHR's essential problem? Not interested in anyone but herself. Doesn't realize that Seo Ban likes/wants kids.
I disagree...sge may not be tge most likable character but they now deserve everything that comes their way. Consequences…
If you put it that way, all of us are potential cheaters. You never know what drives people to make that leap. That's the whole point of this drama.
But if you follow the internal logic of the show, PSH and BHR had drifted apart and were on the verge of splitting up when her father got sick. She is shallow, mercenary and yes, bitchy - they quickly saw how little they had in common except for being good-looking. In Song Won, PSH found someone who was more his match intellectually and philosophically. He was not only attracted to her physically. She's about 10 years older. So what? She will always be beautiful - look at that amazing bone structure. They have a financial cushion and eager in-laws to help with raising the kid, the two biggest stressors in marriages. Doesn't make sense that he (not talking about Yoo Shin) would cheat on Song Won.
Agree with you. btw, regarding your question about BHR's racoon eyes makeup removal prior her meeting with Seo…
Yes, whatever the sins of their father, the brothers are well-educated and have class and manners. I hate myself for being classist, but there you are. BHR is too nouveau riche and obvious. SPY and LSE have class. (Song Won too).
Probably Shi Eun.. for some reason I still remember a comment way back and it sounded like his voice stating she…
Yoo Shin and his stepmother are a package deal, so I don't think A Mi has won. Dong Mi will either poison her eventually, or he'll leave her in attempt to replace SPY.
Yes, LSE's character has been shortchanged. People are calling PSH a doormat because he's gentle. But LSE is the doormat and she deserves so much better. As a woman in my 50s, I wanted a more relatable character than what we got with LSE.
Again, not excusing the professor, but it is a real thing that people leave the marriage when one partner becomes too invested in the kids.
The first time I watched Chicago Typewriter, I almost dropped it because I disliked Yoo Ah In's character so much…
Thanks for that. I know it's common in Kdramas for the MLs to start off like unlikeable for a bigger character arc - but there is a a real risk of turning people off completely. Will check in again!
