I'm only on Episode 2, and I'm a bit confused. Can someone explain this to me?
The ML already has a wife—the Crown Princess. In what seems to be their first meeting, a little boy even calls the Crown Princess "Mom." Now the ML is about to marry the FL as his second wife. She's not entering the family as a concubine or a lower-ranked consort, but as a legally wedded wife betrothed by the Empress Dowager.
So what exactly is the FL's position in the Xiao family? How can she be a legal wife when the ML already has one?
In most xianxia dramas is that the whole mess is usually started or caused by immortals, Daoists, or gods. Yet in the end, all the blame gets pinned on a demon, devil, or some evil spirit. As time passes, later generations end up believing that the devil was responsible for everything, while the immortals died for the sake of the world.
Personally, I don't usually prefer dramas set in the 20th century or early 2000s. Poor badass ML, though. 😭 However, this drama has been really good from the start. And thank goodness they weren't siblings from the very start—otherwise, I would've dropped it immediately. My most hated trope in dramas is when a relationship goes from a sibling bond to a romantic one.
Just started watching this. Last time, he had such a refined and elegant look, but here he's a total badass. Honestly, I love both appearances; He just looks good in every look

I personally don't care if the ending of a story is happy or sad or open ended. If the ending is logical and reasonable, I am satisfied with that ending.
Calling him a fool is a bit of a reach. he has his reasons for doing that and like I didn't see this complaint…
At the beginning, the FL was really immature, and I started to dislike her character. I liked the ML despite his flaws—that was the only major issue I had with him. But with the FL, I could make a whole list of complaints. I had no expectations for her. And yes, do you remember he tried to kill her, but i agree selling him to a slave house was crazy
