YES he is better compared to other SML! Ive still to catch up with the mortal realm, but from what I’ve read I also understand him. He lost her when she was in the heavenly realm and kept blaming himself, “if only I were stronger,” and etc. I completely understand him wanting to keep her close and not wanting to lose her. I also think that once YanDan memory returns there wouldn’t be a “love triangle” anymore.

Sorry for lengthy reply lol Yeah she ends up with Yumo in the novel because he was the ML not Yingyuan. In the drama YingYuan is the ML and many things have changed from the movel. I doubt she will end up with Yumo. I am 100% sure she will end up with Yingyuan. 1st reason: Yang Zi and ChengYi are the main actors, if she ends up with Yumo fans would riot. 2nd reason: This is all about YingYuan and Yan Dan’s love story, all the trailers and BTS scenes have mostly been with our main couple. 3rd reason: YanDan’s relationship has always been maternal as others have said, she takes care of Yumo since he was a little fish and even referred to herself as his mother at one point. The roles are reversed once they enter the mortal realm, Yumo takes care of YanDan. Keep in mind nothing romantic has happened between them all these years YanDan has been in the mortal realm. His love has always been one sided.
