I actually don't know what I was expecting for the ending, but that felt very anti-climatic. especially for Wei Yan, the palace politics in general were not really well explained. the pacing is off towards the end

absolutely LOVING all the side eyes and smirks from Wei Yan in episode 37. rewatched the smack to the emperor about 3x. hope uncle is not an actual bad guy.

also the acting from the sui brothers when yuanqing tried to kill Qi Min was phenomenal. just WOW

I'm on episode 18. previously I saw ppl shipping sui yuanqing with the FL. how could they ship them when he massacred her whole town?? if he wasn't good looking im sure ppl would be thinking differently

this drama is dangerous. I started episode 1, next thing I was 4 episodes in already. also Tian Xi Wei is soooo pretty 🤩

it's the same vibe :) I actually took a break from xianxias after love of divine tree cause it was so good. and this one is on the same par!

1. Very happy, satisfying ending
2. No love triangles though there is an annoying 2nd ML.
3. I'd say the fluff to angst ratio is perfect. A little more heavy on the angst side but it's good, doesn't torment you
4. tricky question with the hidden identity. they don't "officially" get together at any point as far as I know, but both have feelings for each other by episode 13. they also act like a couple early on
5. break up in episode 23, patch up and misunderstandings cleared by episode 26.
