Haha thanks. This blacklist has gotten me a lot of haters on MDL, but I'm glad you approve. As for your points…
"Don't worry, I'll give Hwang Jung Eum a chance..." Aaahh, thank you :-)!
"As for Lee Jong Suk ...." I am not shallow by nature, and I do know that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. But they have plasticized that boy's face, and it does not look good in my humble opinion. What frightens me are the scores of young girls (and some more mature ones) who think that he is the epitome of a beautiful man! I see Korean girls here in my city who have clearly bleached their skins and have that pale white face, strutting around thinking they are all that and a bag of chips. I find them very unattractive, but I understand that every culture has its own beauty standards, so I am just going to butt out.
"I love Kim Ræ Won! I chose to watch Gangnam Blues for him too..." Contrarily to you, I did feel the chemistry between the leads of DotS from the get-go, but the writing was a let-down after Episode 9, and the series failed to maintain my attention. I finished it because of the side characters, yet still think it was/is overrated. We really seem to have a similar taste and appreciation for the projects we have watched. I'll check out your review of the King when it comes out, and will watch if you think it is worthwhile.

I do understand your dislike of the aforementioned actors, now that you have provided us with your reasons:
- I agree with you on Lee Yo Won being typecast, will respect your decision about Ha Ji Won, but think you'll miss out on some great acting by letting go of Hwang Jung Eum. Yes, her voice can be irritative, distractive, yet one does eventually get used to it and feel less bothered over time. I am sorry to say the following: it is Lee Jong Suk's nose, which I find really bothersome and distracting. I cannot focus on anything else but that nasal appendage of his when he is on the screen, so I have a hard time appreciating his acting. - I have also read your comment on The King: The Eternal Monarch, and could not agree more! After watching Gangnam Blues (which I watched for Kim Rae Won), I started thinking of LMH as an actor when I never did prior to that. I have not seen any projects of his since, though I will now give him a chance in other feature films. Dramas? I am not so sure.
Can you pls explain the ending scene if you can ? Like what was the meaning
My pea brain does not recall the integrality of the last scene, but I do remember that haunting stare into the camera lens. To me, it meant exactly what I noted in my last sentence above: this can happen to any one of us, so beware of what you say about others,
Excellent film! The only hiccup for me was Lee Kyu Hyung's poor acting. I have come to expect much from him after he has consistently delivered top-notch performances in his previous projects (Life, Prison Playbook, Stranger, Goblin, etc). I wonder what happened to him here!
The cinematography and visuals are stunning! The rusted container, the cobra striking its glass cage, the glass sliding of the table, that apple-eating scene and so on... absolutely phenomenal camera work! I unfortunately could not get much out of the storytelling. I need to rewatch this with a cinephile and discuss it; I feel as though the protagonists were actually in the afterlife in the second-half of the movie, not just in a dream-like state.
https://www.rjgman56subs.com/thicker-than-waterHello everyone I have the movie subbed on my website. :)
Thank you for the time and dedication you put into this film @YoshihiroStepper! You always do excellent subbing work, and tend to work on great films/dramas. I did not realize you had a personal website! I've always watched the movies and dramas you have subbed on KissAsian. I'll check out your website then. Looking forward to seeing much more of your work in the future. Take care!
Just the cover photo alone- I will be watching -_-I'm such a whore for a shirtless guy in the rain... don't judge…
No one would dare judge you @ShotaSidePart! Aren't we all suckers for shirtless guys in the rain anyway? My voyeurish behind will be right here, watching alongside your whorish butt.
Love his dimples. Unfortunately, none of the other dramas in which he is the main lead are fully subbed online. I look forward to seeing more of him in the future. And what an interesting spelling of his name: Juck! (Sounds just like Jack)
A very nice drama overall. I am usually complaining about dramas being too long, but in this particular case, I wished we had an extra episode or two to properly wrap things up. Granted, TongTong's choice was clear, but a bit of time spent on the side characters new romances, which had formed towards the end would have been quite nice.
I also find Deng Yu Li very beautiful. She has a certain quiet strength to her person. But my personal fave in the series was Mu Hai (Li Jiu Xiao) and his ponytail.
The only upside of this drama? Its lightheartedness. Beside that, the writing and acting were poor, there was zero chemistry between the leads, and the kisses were awkward as hell.
As far as I am concerned, nothing extraordinary; just generic, slow and relaxing. Zhang Shao Qian (Duncan Laï) is such an eye-candy! The man is close to perfection.
I really liked this, especially the Zhuang Hao Yang/Lin Yi Shan storyline, and found the actress portraying the tomboyish Yi Shan (Chen Yu) extremely beautiful.
My second favourite subplot was that of Li Yi Qian and his uncontrollable hard-ons. Adolescence and its surge of hormones, lol...
If you have to fake your own death in order to get away from your girlfriend, then something is definitely very wrong with your relationship!
Excellent performances all around! This is a nice one, short and sweet.
I guess A-Wei means "Cockblock" in Mandarin. That boy got on my last nerve until the very end.
This drama was oftentimes corny with farfetched twists, especially the rapid character growth of the female lead. A curry shrimp sandwich vendor turned corporation president overnight? Negruela, please! I also found Ivy Shao's acting poor (awkward), though it got better halfway through.
At any rate, I kept watching it because it was entertaining, especially Peng Xiao Bin (Lawrence Liu)'s character. That man would f*ck a tree if it had a skirt on, and then call it Little Grape. He made an awesome pair with Huo Ting En (Chris Wu), and their antics made me burst out laughing every single time they were on the screen. Moreover, this drama had some of the hottest kisses I have ever seen in a Taiwanese series: that prolonged "rain kiss" in Episode 17 was something else!
Chris Wu is getting excellent at his craft. His performance in Perfect Match and Q Series: Love of Sandstorm were phenomenal. His crotch is ALWAYS an interesting sight. Gotta love him!
Aaahh, thank you :-)!

What is your take on it?
That monk was the real MVP of this move.

Overall, not bad at all!
