I'm excited for this episode. The actors have such great on screen chemistry and it is so interesting watching them navigate their lives around each other. Nice to see actors in their mid 30s in a bl series and these actors are terrific. An excellent series and their interaction with each other is sweet.
Ok, now that's I've actually finished the final episode my thoughts:
DocSailom: How can you not love them? They are so damn cute, Tee's smile is one of the cutest things on this planet like seriously, he smiles and it's so contagious. Never felt that way about anyone else before except maybe Cooheart You can really tell they were the main focus because their story felt the most complete.
DinDinTawan: So many crumbs left behind. I loved everything about them, even down to DinDin punching Tawan when he came back. It felt so in character for them! Seriously though, DinDin wanted you to become a pilot again for your own sake, not for his sake. I feel like that message was a little lost.
SkyNava: So many crumbs you can't even call them crumbs. They left the whole ass pastry sitting there untouched.
All of that is to say we need a season 2 immediately. There's SO MUCH more story to tell. Here's how it could go down:
DocSailom: learning to handle the relationship when Sailom has all his school work and not enough time. Maybe he makes some new friends or joins a club of something and Doc gets a little jealous (not like breakup levels but surface levels). Could even throw in a little time with Nene and show her healing to wrap up that bit of story. Can end with a wedding since we basically already had the proposal.
DinDinTawan: Learning to balance time needed to keep the relationship healthy. DinDin's bakery takes off even more and he spends all day working with grandma. Tawan spends more time working through his trauma getting over the past accident. Could even do a storyline where he is just a co-pilot at first and is working up his confidence again and it ends with him becoming the main pilot eventually. You can also give us Tawan backstory for why he is part of this family, since we only saw Doc's little bit about his mom just not being ready for a child? (at least that's how I took it)
SkyNava: Learning to balance work life with love life and medical needs. Maybe we have some slight arguments (not full blown fights, I'd want an overall happier tone) during work that stumble over into their personal life after work and they learn to work through it. Can also have some of Sky's old customers pop up and be like "Oh I remember you" and have Sky prove his love for Nava through ignoring them and giving Nava all the love he deserves while going through more treatments. There's also the opportunity to show Nava working through everything while trying to balance his business and keeping the Mickey/Zoom channel going. Lastly, how did Sky get adopted into this family?
You can add in a little more LemonSoda, maybe even give James a little someone to flirt with so he isn't the forever alone friend.
There's SO MUCH MORE story that can be told and I need it right meow!
Last thoughts: I laughed so hard at Mickey and Zoom just constantly dancing for their phone in the background of damn near every shot they are in.
I'm going to miss this show. It really was a beautiful experience to watch these people all heal together and grow. I wouldn't say it's perfect by any means but it was definitely underrated and great in the end despite the rushed ending.
I am NOT satisfied with episode 8. It was too short. They've changed many things and I understand and I'm glad about many things like the story moving towards old shopkeeper. That's what I was saying for a long time. But the proposal scene in the novel was way more impactful. Still I'm happy with this.
Wtf was that ending tho bitch. Just to end in cliffhanger they ended in such a place. At least give us the proper kiss or LY's reaction after, whether he'll punch CS or not. Show us something and then end it.
We've only one ep left now, what will they cover in one ep? Like CS getting kidnapped and then rescued.. so may be they will not show LY in jail? I don't think it's possible to cover everything in one ep. So either they'll end in massive cliffhanger or change the story a bit.
I'm not a fan of ending a season in cliffhanger. The episodes are still fine but we never know about the second season or how long it'll take so keeping people on toes is so cruel. Like give us a proper closure at least. š Then you can keep somethings unsolved but don't keep us on edge fully.
After final episode, I think we have to officially welcome Pooh to the top-tier crier club. Pavelās been in it for a while, but the way they had my good sis out here crying hard af the whole episode! And he sold it so well, such pretty and passionate tears lol. Iāve been so impressed by Poohās performance in this show š¤Æ
The first half of the episode was so tense and had me on the edge of my seat. The scene with Atikun and Thupās mom Dao, as well as him and Chaba? Those poor women, what they went through because of this man :(
The makeup team for this show has been just incredible, Iāve been heaping praise on them the whole time. The blood, the stitched-up eyes and mouths, all of it is so believable. I donāt even believe in ghosts and they were still scaring me a little lol.
Iām gonna miss this show, genuinely such good tv every episode. Looking forward to PoohPavelās new show!
The show completely lacks coherency- itās two different shows- one procedural cop and another a BL- smash cut together from scraps off the cutting room floor, like Frankensteinās monster. But it fails in being either a compelling procedural show or BL in my opinion.
For one, while the mystery/serial killer design shows a strong premise the poor execution is glaring. None of the cops take their jobs remotely seriously, the forensic work is sketchy, and thereās only ever 2-3 cops in the precinct. They introduce this Korean mafia/underground fight club that goes almost nowhere, their laissez-faire use of police issued fire arms rivals the US, and honestly, the case was solved literally because the main characters just stumbled their way into the final crime scene.
The romance went from 0 to 180 mph in ways that were completely inextricable to me. It started out as cute bantering between two obviously sexually attractive coworkers and then it devolved into almost red-crown crane levels of devotion seemingly out of nowhere. I found it hard to imagine two grown, professional adults acting so childishly over their crushes all whist university students suffer incredibly gruesome deaths (like murder by acid bath etc.) in the backdrop.
I loathed this show because I couldnāt accept it for what it was. Fluffy slop. I wanted so much more, especially since it was airing alongside Goddess Bless You From Death- both of which are written by the same author (highly recommend reading GBYFD too, if you enjoy BL novels).
But JoongDunk are A+ working with F level material, so no hatred to them or any of the cast.
I blame the director.
But I also am not a big enough stan of JoongDunk on their own to ignore the glaring deficits. I only stayed as long as I did for them. And I want my hours back.
Just finished binge-watching this in one day and honestly⦠I had a really good time with it.
The biggest highlight for me was the whole Kim Siwon and Hyeryung storyline. That dynamic was so interesting and tense, but I canāt lie it also left me kind of confused. Siwonās actions toward Hyeryung felt like they came out of nowhere, and I kept waiting for a deeper explanation that just never really came. It had so much potential to be one of the most layered parts of the show, but it felt slightly underdeveloped.
I actually started this drama mainly because of Kang Mina (Nari), so I was a bit disappointed with how her storyline wrapped up. It didnāt feel fully explained or resolved, which sucks because her character had a lot of emotional weight.
Another thing I couldnāt fully get behind was the love triangle. Like, I understand why Geonwoo likes Seah that one felt natural and built up but Hajoon being in love with her? That kinda came out of left field. They didnāt really explore his feelings enough for it to feel believable, so it just ended up raising more questions than adding depth.
That said, despite all my confusion and unanswered questions, I still really enjoyed the drama. The acting was solid, the pacing made it super bingeable, and it definitely kept me hooked. And that post credits scene?? Yeah, theyāre clearly setting something up, so I really hope we get a season 2 to fill in all these gaps.
Wow, these first two episodes were AMAZING!! šššš that opening dance, they were so good, specially Poom and the blonde guy (I hate him already but gotta admit heās got moves)ā¦the dildo scene!! š¤£š¤£š¤UpPoom bringing us that amazing chemistry again! ššš the plot is also very good, this is the cop show Netflix shouldāve used to intro Thai BL to the masses instead of Dare You to Death (I love JoongDunk but we all know how bad that series was š)ā¦and like you all Iām obsessed with Foei, that face and those muscles!! š±š±Fridays just went up another level!! ššššš¼
Loooooooved episode 1. They didn't waste any time, we have the whole layout of the story AND a mutual attraction between Scent & Gaysorn. It was smart to make Gaysorn's scent visually come off like pollen instead of ABO pheromones. It was also really smart that he emits the scent when he's nervous or flustered.
Great contrast from their last characters, Pearl is a schemer and Peak is allowed to be a bit more open than he was as Saenkaw. Tawan is annoying AF lol but I'm down for an unrequited love side story.
I see from the intro there's going to be more than one city x tribe CP!!
Watched the first episode and saw my little cutie is back in a bl. He was in the bl Mr Unlucky Has No Choice to Kiss, so seeing him in this brought a smile. Rivals to lovers hmm based on a bet. The episode was fun and the two leads were great on screen battling it out. I know this is going to tug at my heartstrings like all the JBL airing atm. Excited for the next episode š
I already know LUAT is going to be one of my favorite shows of the year. The humor, the tension, the yearning, the mystery - I love it!
I'm only on the episode 4 but I'm already bracing myself for emotional devastation. Jom is...I just get a bad feeling he's going to keep "teasing" Kaew and it's going to end any way but funny. Props to Latte's acting because I can't read him at all. This might hurt worse than Nakhun/Phop.
"I shall not let you slip away from my grasp again." Excuse me while I swoon. Net needs to stop it with those eyes, they're lethal!! And I don't know how JJ made speaking Shakespearean insults sexy but he did.
I just watched the last episode of Duang with you and Iām going to miss those two goofballs. In my opinion, the last episode was more like a special episode showing how they live laugh & love each others company and I loved it. First of all thanks to the author for writing such mature characters, Duang who listens, loves unconditionally and gives space when needed, Qin who took his time and when he was sure he gave his all for his love. Itās so much more refreshing than the same toxic characters we see all the time. Also the friendship between Pae, Duang and Jettana is perfection, this show has set such high standards.
In conclusion, Iām going to miss those cutie pies and wanted you guys to know.
Okay, this episode was emotional but I didnāt get as emotional as I previously expected I would. Poor baby Sun. Out of all of the scenarios I was going over in my head on what traumatic event happened in his childhood, what was revealed was nowhere on my list. It seemed his mother suffered from a severe form of postpartum depression and that escalated into something so powerfully tragic.
Iām not sure where the show will go from here though. With three episodes left , Iām expecting Solarās dad to pop up in the future somewhere. They made a point to say that he just up and left. He either comes back around or Solar hunts him down.
Iām giving Solarās mom a pass from my previous shitty thoughts about her. Now that everything has been revealed, she was really doing what she thought was best for her recovery. Iām not understanding why the psychiatrist advised her not to say anything versus bringing both her and Solar into her office to tell him so that way she could use her psychological expertise to ease him through his emotions. But for dramatic effect, I can see why the show producers/writers chose this route.
Iām still loving Pobmek as a boyfriend and caregiver. I know he misses Solar when heās gone but he has gotten a lot better with Sun. Yes, Sun aggravates him but he has also grown on him and it has been nice to see him evolve because he is the most important person in Sunās life.
Jee and Sodchuen are still the best friends/co-workers/side characters. Sammy is gorgeous and I am still loving her in this show. Catching Jeeās little quirks in each episode has been fun. Iām loving how they arenāt overtly talking about his OCD now but itās still showing.
Iām looking forward to next weekās episode because Iām really wanting to see where we go from here. I feel like there is at least one more plot twist waiting for us.
This could be one of the BEST BL if by like episode 6 they both were drawn in and I love and realized they were going to be together considering its only going to be 9 episodes. I literally never say this but this BL should of sped up the relationship a bit more the chemistry is outstanding so they definitely should of progressed the loving between the main leads! All and all omg i love this show
I donāt know about you guys, but for me, this is one of those rare series where I equally love both couples. They each have their own charm, their own kind of chemistry, and Iām honestly so invested in both of their stories. Theyāre giving me exactly what I want, no more, no less, and Iām enjoying every second of it. šā¤ļøāš„ā¤ļø
This show is sweet, funny, and quirky, with an ensemble cast of genuinely talented actors. It doesn't hurt that it features sea turtles, which I love, and parents of adult children who genuinely care about their kids. It's very refreshing and I look forward to watching more.
This was a lot better than expected! šš both leads look great together and have chemistry, the elevator scene was cute (the real one) and hot (the imagined one). Itās also cool to learn about the stones, and Iām intrigued as to how Ritt is able to be so accurate when heās drunk and kind of talking in generalā¦and the whole thing of him impersonating Ittās childhood love will cause a lot of drama in the future šš
This series brought so much happiness in my life that I cant even explain. Be it friendship, relationship and entertainment along with lil secondhand embarrassment for duang ( lol) the songs everything is wholesome and perfect. this series is so special that you should never miss. The way duang waited for qin and the way qin accepted duang and them healing us ahhh I cant describe this series im crying. So please dont think twice and watch it !!
I don't have much say bc i'm only on the second episode but its soooo good so far and really funny. IT'S NEEDS MORE RECOGNITION LIKE PLEASE. WE LOVE NETJJ AND LATTEKIM!!!
This may be the end of the series, but itās not the end of our support for you, TeeTeePor. Thank you for being one of the highlights of my Saturday nights.
The special effects are a little cheesy, but I hope it's just for the pilot and that the show will be better.
DocSailom: How can you not love them? They are so damn cute, Tee's smile is one of the cutest things on this planet like seriously, he smiles and it's so contagious.
