Episode #8 already. . .so that does it for 2022 (and 2565 in the old-country). π₯΅ I liked every bit of this show tonight, even the tension-filled Dad scenes. π¬ At least, compared to other Dads (you didn't hear me say 'Tooth'), Win's Dad seems somewhat willing to listen. . .and it doesn't look like he plays chess. . .π³
I am probably in the lower 20% percentile of those that are perfectly fine with the pace of Win & Team and all of the side couples, mainly because they're all adorable. π₯° Win & Team could do their thing for 32 more episodes before we see the inside of another restroom, and I'd be OK with that. π We'll all get to see what we bought tickets for because we've all waited three years to see it. π
I'm getting used to a lot of things here after eight episodes, and I'm anticipating a lot of them, too, from that one strand of Win's hair that always wants attention, to my weekly fix of Lay's, to the way Bee forgets to breathe when he's around Prince. π±π½π₯ π§
In this one, Bee definitely gets the '2022 Award for What an Actor Looks Like After 700mg of Caffeine'. π€ͺ When he was on the phone with Prince, I thought he was going to come right off of the bed and hit the ceiling tiles. π€Έπ½ This is love in its purest form. π The 'Sharing of the Ear Buds' cannot be very far off. πβοΈπ
It was a treat again to see 'Angry Santa' in the Dad scene. π‘ I realized back in October on '12%' that NO ONE can glare at you like an 'Angry Santa'. π€¨ I knew that was coming. . .but what I forgot to notice was that Prem is taller than Santa. π¨π½βπ€βπ¨πΎ I'm not sure why I thought Santa was three inches taller than almost everyone else, but I noticed it now.
I was cool with everything this episode gave us, but I wasn't crazy about A, Bee and Sea giving Team an ultimatum to "tell Win that you care about him before you lose him". π Win's not going anywhere, and Team has his room key now. They're doing fine without the usual pressure, so Team didn't need to hear that, especially on an exam night. π
Two weeks. π§ OK. π₯ We'll regroup in two weeks and see if there's a different take on Dean sneaking Pharm onto the raft. Tis the Season. . .P'Dean. . .π
I liked Episode #5 today. . .the more purples, the better. π Seeing Dew cook food for Mum gave me a sense of Deja vu, too. . .almost like I've seen this somewhere before. . . π€ππ€
It might take 5 more episodes to see it, but I think Mum is going to save the day for everyone. π₯° Anyone who can do Ninja gymnastics with a high fever can do anything. π₯·π½
He would have made a great bounty hunter in another series. π€£
I'm down here with comments about 19 hours prior. β¬οΈ π I don't know if my comments are going to be worth…
I would have loved to see the 'Return of Koichi' at the end of 'Eien no Kinou', so we could get an ending like we had in 'Choco'. π₯° Mittchan waited five years and all he got was an extra bottled water and instant noodle in his camping gear. That last episode was agonizing. π¨
I am a little worried about how a second season of 'Choco' would go. π€ They would have to answer a lot of important questions :
When Jungwoo makes dinner, will Choco prefer dry food or the wet stuff?
If Milk is sitting at the table and you decide to play laser tag on the wall, is Milk going to make a leap for it? πΎπΎ
If they go to the doctor, will Choco and Milk need the cones put on their necks for a few days?
Can Uncle keep plants at his place without Milk eating them while he's gone? πͺ΄πͺ΄πͺ΄
Will Choco completely lose it every time he sees a school bus or a postal vehicle? π π

I'm going to have to put 'Dear Doctor' on the list to watch before I start the new year. . .you have me sold on it. π
Plus & Minus probably deserves a rewatch some time, as well. I watched it and thought the relationship took eons to develop, but if I watch it a second time, there are always 12-15 things I missed the first time.
'That's My Candy' melted my brain. π₯΄ I watched it not knowing it was a parody of other BLs, tropes and recycled stories until halfway through. π The best scene had to be the main couple as 80-year olds celebrating their 60th anniversary together. . .they put a mustache on one of them and had the other squint his eyes to look old. That was it. . .not even a wig. π€£
KinnPorshe was OK, but WOW did they throw a lot at us in the last episodes. π¬
It has also occurred to me that I need to come back to this show here and rewatch the first two episodes. π¦ I got a slow start on this one, so there are several scenes early on that I don't think I've seen yet. It'll be more fun, now that I know what's coming up in #12. π
I'm down here with comments about 19 hours prior. β¬οΈ π I don't know if my comments are going to be worth…
I was thinking about 'Dear Doctor', thinking it was going to be too 'Triage-y', so I didn't make plans for it. I should give it a chance during the holidays and see it. π
'Choco' and the last episode there easily makes up for every let-down I've had seeing a series end badly. π₯° Now I'm pining for a Season 2. . .mostly to see if Milk and Uncle get into a serious relationship, Milk moves in, and then scratches all of Uncle's furniture and knocks the plants over. πββ¬
I'm still looking around to see how many episodes of 'Remember Me' we have left. By Sunday night, we'll know. π
A 'worst' list for 2022 isn't that easy for five choices. I got big disappointments going through 'Ghost Host', 'Ai Long Nhai' and 'Big Dragon', but overall, I could still rewatch them, and some of my complaints with them are minor. π
With those set aside, the ones I probably won't go back to are:
The reason I put 'My Engineer 2' on here was because we've waited and waited and waited, and still have no Season 2, even though most of the Season 1 plot was left to be continued. π Delays set in, Perth's contract expired, Lay was out, and then one thing after another. The Ram-King relationship was just getting a foothold, and most of the cast is gone. π« So, as an 'Honorable Mention', 'My Engineer 2' goes on the list.
'Color Rush 2' was very original, but the 2nd Season was built around half of the main couple going missing and the quest to go find him. They set this one up like there was going to be a Season 3, but in the meantime, ticked all of us off who watched all of the second season for a bit of filler. π£

Five is a difficult number to narrow down. Can I count 'Sunshine Night' 4X ?
Every day I'd change the ranking and order, but 2022 would certainly have to include:
'Triage' 'My Only 12%' 'About Youth' 'Choco Milk Shake' 'Eien no Kinou' 'My Tooth, Your Love' 'Between Us'
I don't know if I should count 'Between Us', because we still have five more weeks to go yet (six with the New Years break).
I expected 'Remember Me' to be on this list, too, but I'm really struggling with the quality of the second half of it. After Grandfather and Lucky went to the other side, it became an expose of 'Bad Hair Day'. π§π½
I surprised myself with the list, because three of them are shows with :15 or :22-minute episodes. π°οΈ I know I wished for 'About Youth' to be one-hour episodes, but it was still OK. π
I'm guessing that 'Sunshine' and 'Remember Me' are failing to appear on your list, too? π€£

I watched #12 tonight. . .so now it feels like it's Friday already. π¨ I actually liked this last episode, and certainly a lot more than I liked #11.
A lot of you in here have already read my mind about the story quality of these last two episodes, so I'll leave that part of it be. π Episode #11 really broke the spell I was under here, but #12 tried to fill things in a little bit to make up for it. π₯°
Seeing the two sets of rings was the high point of this one tonight, so I feel better than I did last Friday. πππππ Finding Jin Xun An under that ginormous pile of stuffed animals on the bed was another great moment for me, too. π π§Έπͺ π»π¦π¦·π§Έ
All is forgiven for the direction this went towards the end, mainly because the work that went into this whole story was nothing less than next-level cinema. ποΈπποΈ For the big majority of this series, this was a well-acted, well-filmed and very accomplished story, so, the way this show was wrapped up (for now?) gives me very little for me to complain about compared to the refreshing experience I've had watching it from the beginning.
Having said all of that, for #12. . .they let Dad off too easy. πΏ Picture-taking time next to the chess set was less rewarding for me than if I had seen Dad in a police car after the way he almost derailed this whole story last week. π
It's not clear whether or not Bai Lang got a good look at the bruises on Jin Xun An's back, and maybe it's a good thing if he didn't. π₯π‘π₯ We could have devoted a whole scene to that.
One thing they didn't devote enough scenes to was RJ & Alex, so I'm hoping that we do get a Season 2 here, and that RJ & Alex get 40% screentime in it. π
Hopefully this isn't the last we see of all of these characters between now and next Christmas. I'm on board for another 12 episodes of this (minus Dad). π₯°
William, you never disappoint! Why canβt you be the script writer and/or director! These would be so much better!…
Actually. . .I'm hoping not to see the last four things I put on the comment. π We got three solid hours of them already in 'Ai Long Nhai'. π¬
I got to see the finale last night, and almost thought it was still going to aired on Friday. I left a comment last night, but if you don't find it, I can cut and paste it. πβοΈ
I had to de-Christmas-tize my evening before I could watch #8. π

I'm signing up for this one. π
