On Your Name Engraved Herein Jun 6, 2021
Such a good movie. I put this off for a long time and now it’s one of my favorites. I could feel their emotions so much. I watched this twice and I will probably watch it again. One thing I’ll say is the ending wasn’t my favorite and I wish they wouldn’t of cut so many scenes but I understand why being this is the directors story. I’m still sad though I needed more time with them together before the angst. I loved Birdy lol I fell in love too watching him. I’ll be looking out for all Tseng Jing Hua’s future projects!!

Title Better Days
Looking for movie recommendations that are depressing as this one TT
I don’t know if your still looking for recommendations but I would suggest; Us & them, Your name engraved herein, Soulmate. These movies kind of gave me a similar feeling!

On Good Bye, My Princess May 11, 2021
Title Good Bye, My Princess Spoiler
I was going to drop this at episode 10 because I just could not warm up to the chengyi and him and the princesses love story knowing he betrays her ( he was giving me psychopath vibes creeping me out lol). However, instead i decided to skip to when she wakes up in the palace. The best decision i could’ve made. I really started to feel for chengyi and got taken in by their chemistry. However, this drama in my opinion did not live up to its potential. After she gets told what happened to the Danchi her and chengyis lack of communication was really exhausting. I really wish he’d confided/trusted her more because the multiple misunderstanding were so annoying. Because of this I often felt like the male lead and the princess were in two different dramas. The princess went outside the palace a lot lol like every episode to play whereas the male lead was caught up in palace intrigues. I wish the writers had made things more interconnected because it felt disjointed. I can understand why people thought the princess was annoying I feel like her character development and growth were really lacking compared to chengyi's maybe its because she lost her memory but she stayed making rash decisions even when she should’ve learned such things are not good in the palace, I was really looking forward to her becoming more mature but that doesn’t happen until the very end. II don’t know if its bad to say but I thought the male lead was going to treat her way worse in the palace from reading comments on here but it really felt like they were bickering. I also wanted more romantic scenes too like they gave us little drops lol I feel like more romance would’ve made this so good! This drama did make me cry a few times too so I know it could've been so much better!! This had such good potential and I’ve heard such good things but in the end i was disappointed. We need them in another drama though they have such good chemistry. A little aside I wonder how the drama would be if they didn't tell us what happened before she lost her memory. Would it of been better?

On Josee Feb 7, 2021
Title Josee Spoiler
I liked aspects of both versions but in the end neither gave me all that I wanted. The Japanese version in my opinion was lacking a little with the emotional depth. I’ve seen some people mention they felt that version had more raw emotions, which is interesting to me lol because that’s exactly what I feel was lacking. When he cried in the end of the Japanese movie I really couldn’t understand what it was that made him cry like that. What was missing in my opinion in that version was the quiet moments between the characters, the intimate moments. I feel like the Korean version captured this really well. They really built up their unusual relationship nicely so at the end I could feel their pain, I understood why youngseok was crying so much. However, the Japanese version excelled in its quirkiness I liked the mixture of tones it gave, they had sad moments but they had really happy moments too. Also, josee’s character was so much more vibrant, I wish the Korean version had stuck with that characterization of her. I wish I could combine both films lol. Han jimin and Nam joo Hyuk did a really good job though you could feel their emotions for each other!

I just started this but I don't know if i want to continue. I'm on episode 2 and honestly I like and relate more with the high school girl. I'm a little sad that she just gets replaced by the "other" girl and the main lead falls in love with her because of that. That makes me a little sad especially sense the girl is depressed and has such a hard home life does the other girl have a satisfying story as well? If not I don't think I'll continue.
