Terrance Lau is such a good actor! I'm super excited for this. I'm so glad he's branching out into the Taiwanese film scene so I can see him in more stuff! I recommend "Beyond the Dream" to anyone interested it's one of my favorite movies!
I read the novel and it's really good! Very complex characters and story. Qin Nan is really like the perfect man. Like so dreamy! Honestly, there were many parts of the novel that enraged me as a woman I had to pause and come back. Bin Bin will do so well as Qin Nan I can't wait for this to come out. Probably by next year or the end of the year though unfortunately. I'm not that familiar with the actress playing Ye Si Bei but her character is so complex and I really empathized with her!

I love when Liu Xueyi plays morally grey characters he really excels at that. In love and redemption his character was insufferable but because he played him I still had a lot of empathy for his character
I wasn’t expecting to like this drama so much but I can’t forget it. My favorite “life” had to be Sang Jiu and Ming ye. First the costume and set design was so unique. I’ve never seen a Xianxia with that kind of vibe for the set. It reminded me of Thai or even Indian cultural wear. I know the plot for this “life” was very standard xianxia in a way but I really loved it. I cried so much.
The acting in this drama was really so good. I’ve never been a fan of Bai Lu (this is not to say I don’t like her just not a fan girl) but I’ve watched many of her works and she truly stands out amongst her peers. The way she can make a character her own and none of her characters resemble each other is an achievement. Her acting & her choice of characters and roles are very diverse in my opinion.
Now Luo Yunxi really impressed me. I didn’t know he was this good of an actor. I hope he does more costume dramas in the future he really suits that era. But his acting wow he made me cry & sympathize with him. Definitely will be following his works in the future.
Just saw the recent rumors. They need to just drop this all at once just in case something happens lol and do minimal promotions. I really enjoyed the book, very well written. Might have to reread
Netflix is so annoying not dropping all the episodes at once. Out of all the femal contestants I really like Nozumi her personality is so cute & bright. I also like Nozumi and dong gyu the most out of the couples but I’m feeling like it may be a little too good to be true lol. We’ll see what ends up happening. A true test would be if they’re paired with other people. It looks like that’s what ends up happening in the next episodes. Looking at the preview has me scared 😭
I’m enjoying this a lot so far. I was expecting it to be a bit darker and more angsty. But maybe it’ll progress into that. Honestly the flashback scenes look so interesting and juicy lol. I hope we get some of that in future episodes.
From reading comments I have a question. Does ZZ also remember his past life? I’m seeing some comments that imply that. Did I miss some scenes lol. I was under the assumption only Ning er remembered her last life.
Also, I wonder why XW wasn’t present at Yan Lins coming of age ceremony in the previous life. I know that he was devastated learning what happened. Probably pushed him to the edge honestly.
ZZ is quite self righteous and I was annoyed by him this episode. However, I think what’s interesting about him is that he see’s himself as being a very just person and kind of occupying a moral high ground. But his actions last life prove that this is not the case. He is in fact willing to sacrifice his ideals for the person he loves. Idk I think this is very interesting lol. Team XW though I love morally grey characters
