Nuanced and melodramatic. I'm enjoying this drama. I understand that HJ is not a sympathetic character but neither…
yes I agree! If she wanted to live a good deceitful life with WJ it would've made more sense for her to leave them alone. She's made HJ apart of their life now and he's bound to remember her which can't bode well for their relationship. Honestly I think she's going to go off the deep end. Or maybe she has a larger plan for both of them? I don't think all of this is worth it but hey that's just me. Like they have no kids, he clearly didn't love her. It has to be obsession at this point from her end.
Such a great list! Beyond the dream is my favorite movie!! I saw the silent forest it was heartbreaking. I’m definitely checking out the others. You have good taste lol!
I really love this show and this episode! People don’t always break up for some dramatic reason! I think it’s harder for people to understand when you and the person are seemingly compatible in most aspects and there’s no cheating/abuse or anything crazy going on. But lack of communication is really the silent killer in relationships lol. It’s crazy how their relationship parallels mine lol woong is basically my boyfriend 😭
Hee Joo is very selfish. Like girl you chose wealth and security over love. You chose that life. And she still…
And I want the back story in clear details lol they keep jumping back in forth. I’m really curious on when she started ti like him? Also, when he started dating Hae won?
Hee Joo is very selfish. Like girl you chose wealth and security over love. You chose that life. And she still would choose it again if she had the options again. It’s sad because clearly they are very compatible and she loved him. When they had the same drink order I was like wow. Also, Hae won is so weird to me like girl why would you go out out your way to reinsert yourself into hee joo’s life if you don’t want him to remember her lol. Also, it would be interesting if he was faking. Hae won seem’s like she’s on the edge also, I think she might go crazy if they get together again. This drama makes me sad just people wasting their life. And I’m sorry Lisa is insufferable I’ve tried to withhold judgement but yeah no. It’s sad but I’m not too keen on any of the characters like even Hae Won for some reason I’m having a hard time sympathizing with her. I just want her to get a grip and move on.
Some of you have some very strong feelings for these characters lmfaoo reading these comments😳 I think it’s interesting that there is little to no vitriol directed toward WooJae I’m guessing it’s because he’s attractive? I wonder if when they started the affair was WooJae with Haewon? I wonder if Hee Joo broke it off with him and then he got together with Hae Won? It seemed like he was strictly her senior at first not someone she was dating. Still as a friend I would’ve told her after I found out they were dating. Even if it risked everything for me and because they clearly still have feelings for each other. The timeline isn’t clear. I don’t understand people that seek revenge unless it involves recompense for murder or that person destroyed their life entirely but an affair? We only have one life lol I don’t have time! I think this drama is interesting because it shows how fate works. If he’d never filled in for Hae won none of this would’ve occurred or maybe it would’ve? Some people are irrevocably drawn to each other!
I loved this episode! Wow woong is like copy/paste with my boyfriend when it comes to communication lol. He might actually be better than him though 😭. I feel like Babi is really perceptive to others thoughts and feelings! He seems like he would have the “little things” down pack! The perfect boyfriend lol
It’s really slow paced! I really liked the first episode because it was intriguing but it’s kind of losing me lol. The parts in the past are way more interesting! Also the actor that plays woo Jae!! I’m in love lol
I agree and I think that most people have this opinion. However just because her relationship with Jae On is realistic…
I’m glad to find someone like minded on here lol because I totally agree! I was beginning to get disillusioned with this site honestly! & I know you didn’t ask lol but I looked on your profile and I see we have similar tastes in films (I’m not surprised) lol so i wanted to recommend one of my favorites that you might enjoy it’s called “beyond the dream”.

Whew preach lol! I totally agree! Honestly I'm not surprised, they're just reflecting society's tendency to be over critical when it comes to women. Sometimes I’m shocked though lol. I usually have way different opinions about characters then many people on here. You would think there would be more empathy since drama viewership has a large female audience but alas internalizd misogyny!
I am sure that I am also older than most of the audience here. Tbh, I never understood girls like Nabi even when…
I think in understanding “girls like Nabi” as with all people you have to remember that everyone was raised differently and have had different life experiences then you. And all said experiences mitigates their choices in life especially choosing partners. This is what helps me relate to people that think differently or act differently then I do. Also, People that come from dysfunctional backgrounds usually seek partners that mirror that dysfunction! It’s a comfort thing you seek what you know! & it’s usually unconscious So Nabi herself may not even realize that’s what she’s doing. That’s why I said she really needs time to sit with herself and unpack her issues alone! So she can end the cycle. Also, in actuality this hasn’t been that long in Nabi’s life which is probably why she doesn’t seem to have progressed. This relationship will probably, hopefully will be the catalyst for change! I’m not going to touch on your second paragraph that’s your opinion lol!
I agree and I think that most people have this opinion. However just because her relationship with Jae On is realistic…
I don’t know if most people have this opinion from what I’ve been reading on here lol. But I also agree that because Nabi is so flawed it makes her a difficult character and maybe unlikeable for some I think that’s fine! I love difficult, flawed characters because it’s relatable to me! But I know not everyone enjoys this!
Also, I’m all for criticizing characters and sharing different opinions! I think that is what makes watching dramas and movies fun! However, name calling and slut shaming take me out of said fun lol and I’ve been seeing a lot of that as I’ve been scrolling down. I also really enjoy critical nuanced analyses/ response to characters. My comment was simply to assuage that need!
I don’t know if I’m a little older than the people on here or what. Probably not lol but I’m inclined to give some nuanced opinions. Nabi and Jae Eon absolutely don’t have a healthy relationship. They didn’t in the webtoon either right? I don’t think think the point of the drama is to showcase a healthy relationship. However, we’ve been shown glimpses of why that is especially for Nabi. She obviously has issues with setting proper boundaries and doesn’t know what she wants in a relationship (or from herself). She also has a dysfunctional relationship with her mother and we don’t know about her relationship with her father. All of this contributes to what type of partners we choose for ourselves. Red flags don’t feel like red flags when they feel like home! Their relationship is very realistic which is probably why it garnering such strong reactions. I don’t think it’s necessary to call her names we are all humans with trauma lol. I have been Nabi so many times even having a guy like dohyuk who liked me and I still chose the other guy. This is a short drama about a very realistic relationship many girls go through! I just hope at the end Nabi realizes that she needs to find who she is first and heal! Which is why I really hope she doesn’t end up with dohyuk!! I think it’s possible to heal while in a relationship but for her personally I think she would benefit from being alone for awhile! Rooting for my girl Nabi lol. I would do an analysis on Jae on but he doesn’t reveal much lol so it’s kind of hard. However, I will say I don’t have a problem with his relationship style monogamy isn’t for everyone however I think his lack of commitment is also related to trauma/family so I think he needs to work through that!
Y'all are talking about how Jae Eon and Na Bi are toxic for each other but Bit Na and Kyu Hyun are somehow not…
I think the writer purposely made their relationships mirror each other. I think what’s interesting is the lack of outrage or the labeling of Bit-Na as toxic & a “walking red flag”. I don’t know why viewers aren’t seeing the parallels. Jae-eon and Nabi’s relationship triggers a lot of viewers I think which is probably why.
I was beginning to get disillusioned with this site honestly!
