I may give this a try! I usually do not like Chinese rom com modern dramas though (I prefer Korean). But I’am curious because of Yangzi. I’ll try & see if I like.

But I trust the writers, just two episodes ago I was screaming from joy (ep 9) lol so I have faith just nervous!
I liked that we got some backstory with her mom & saw some of her perspective. But I’m not going to lie I’m not as engaged as in previous episodes where this was like crack lol. I’m a little sad we won’t have a lot of episodes with Heedo as an adult & them progressing into an adult relationship. I really was looking forward to that! The school days are nostalgic & fun but I need her as an adult so I can ship in peace lol. Also, the plot progression kind of stalled. I hope everything wraps up nicely it looks like we may not get adult heedo until episode 13 😭😭 Also, what’s going on with Seungwan I’m getting some vibes from her but I’m not sure lol?
The main storyline from novel is in ep 16/17 of drama. I recommend watching drama for the more details storyline…
Lol I watched it all today! My eyes hurt! Rewatching in a few days!! It was really good! The acting & plot was amazing! Xu Kai is such a versatile actor I was really impressed. I’m already a fan of Zhou dongyu but wow Xu Kai is amazing!
Do you guys recommend the novel? I dropped this around episode 7 I think but I may read the novel first maybe that’ll make want to watch the drama again!
So glad I started watching this! I wasn't because the rating is so low but I heard its really popular in China rn so I had to give it a shot. & wow its so good! I love slower dramas and the cooking aspect is fresh for me! I just wish the subs came faster on Youtube!
I felt the exact same way about I told sunset about you. The production quality was so good but I just couldn’t get into Teh idk why I couldn’t sympathize with him!
Finally watching this! It’s okay so far. The costumes are not my fave, obviously Roman/Asian fusion. I hope next season they draw more from Korean traditional clothing. Also, are they speaking in standard Korean or old Korean it sounds like modern Korean which is a bit jarring. The game of thrones comparisons are interesting…lol
