I know she's kind of everywhere lately but I'll be real, GO GIRL GET THAT BAG. She's chill af and I just want to see her happy, healthy and girlbossing the way she has been.
Not sure what I just watched but I'm glad that I did. I liked the visuals. It was shot in such an interesting manner and the background music was nice too.
Sometimes horror based on real issues is more terrifying than fictional stories. I felt bad for the girl, and even worse knowing it's not that uncommon, it's just not talked about enough.
You know what? Idc anymore whether it's a censored or uncensored adaption. I'm a starving victorian child and I'LL EAT THIS SHIT UP. I've more or less gotten used to this sus brotherhood and 'no homo bro but I'll intensely stare at you like we're already married' thing by now, I just don't want anything to end up like hyx, chasing the light, winner is king etc. I'm fine as long as I'm getting my danmei and baihe dramas, I'll survive off these crumbs and wait for the day they could serve us the whole meal.
Is this movie based on Gozu/牛頭? That urban legend about a story so terrifying people who read it literally die from fear? I'm wondering because of the title, the village part also makes me think of the most popular version of this story. I swear, if they truly decided to adapt it, I'm going to bring all my friends to my place, tell them we're going to watch Titanic and then play this instead. It's one of my favourite japanese urban legends.
I'm glad this movie exists. I'm glad Takayama Makoto poured his experience into his writing. I'm glad someone decided to adapt it. And I'm glad I was fortunate enough to watch it. Because I don't think I'll ever be able to describe just how good this movie was. It was beautiful and it broke me but I don't regret it one bit, that's all I can say.
"Clothes are happy when someone wears them" it's such a small and casual line but I can't stop thinking about how cute it was, the scene (of Kosuke giving his jacket to Ryuta) was so adorable too. It holds a special meaning knowing how much Kosuke cared about his clothing, referring to them as his armour in the beginning of this movie. It's like he's subtly confessing that he wants to protect the other, share his armour, give him what made him feel safe.
I do feel like she can do an evil character well. Wonder if she will ever take on such a role though. It would…
If I remember correctly, she played an evil SFL in Novoland: The Castle in the Sky and she did a great job at it, so I'm hoping she does a few more similar roles in the future. An assassin would suit her so well, she's got the potential and looks to pull it off.
Ok but I need more of evil Ju Jingyi. She was hot in the first few episodes with all those schemes, sly glances, and darker styling. Let her be menacing. Let her do silly lil murders. It's not harming anyone, except for the people who got murdered. Is it morally correct or right to cheer for someone like her? No. But do I care? Also no.
