Adorable. Somehow this movie being old makes it more endearing, there's just that natural/raw quality to the old cameras and shots, they don't look as perfect as newer ones. And their imperfections are just beautiful.
Loved the way it was shot. Might not be my favourite movie, but it sure was a memorable one. From today onwards, I'll also never be able to look at a green dress without being reminded of this movie lmao. That's how much it stays in your mind.
Now I want to see a full-length sageuk with two like-minded characters who became a ghost couple. Like just imagine their underworld adventures, bet they'll be haunting evil humans lmao.
he has a secret child at 14, with his mom friend in USA?
Wait, is his child 14 years old or he had a child at 14 with his mom's friend? If it's the latter then it's really disturbing. I assume his friend's mom was probably a grown woman and children can't consent so whatever she did to the 14 years old him is... vile, to say the least. Hoping it's a just a rumour since child predators often do get scout free, jumping through all the loopholes, especially when it's towards boys and done by women (not implying it's the only case/scenario where justice isn't served, poor children suffer the same regardless of their gender) as it's not taken seriously and they're just told to 'enjoy it', it would be a terrible thing if it actually happened to him too.

Ah sorry for the late reply, I've been busy lately. That aside, there's two dramas of Feiyu that I'd always recommend because they're truly worth a try — Evernight and Gold Panning.
Ah, those good ol' days when the world was grey, black and white. Long ago, these 3 nations lived together in harmony, then everything changed when the colours attacked. Now look what we have nowadays... morbius.
I'll be honest, not sure if it's because I'm sleepy but I didn't completely understand this movie. All I could tell was it had something to do with cults and has an unreliable narrator.
I'll never get why she's still so underrated and doesn't get more mainstream dramas. Whenever there's a discussion on good acting, her role in White Deer Plain is ALWAYS praised to the high heavens on the chinese Internet (douban and weibo mainly). And rightfully so, she killed it. I don't think I've ever been disappointed by her acting skills, she's amazing at everything she does and has this natural gracefulness in her, which makes her perfect for historical dramas. So how come she isn't everywhere? How come casting directors aren't running after her? These fuckers are missing out.
You know what hurts more than stubbing your toe against a piece of furniture at night? The fact that his works are highly unlikely to air anymore... I was so looking forward to Night Wanderer, Long Ye Qu and hearing his smooooth deep voice in them :(

Glad you didn't take it seriously, for some reason I feel like my comment came across as more serious than it was meant to be lmao. And talking about lighter and princess though, I swear I want to erase my memory and watch that drama for the first time again 😔 the chemistry was so fucking good I'll never get over it. I've watched all of feiyu's works and I still think he was the best with Jingyi, these two need to act again.
