It's not boring imo, it's just slow-paced and about half of the drama is spent on building tension.

I think this drama would've worked better as a movie.

Kim Sum kind of feels eerier than Sung Yun-oh. SYO appears and acts like your typical psycho next door, a total creep to a T even when he's pretending to be an ordinary guy (that could also be because his crazy side is constantly shown to the viewers but still), however when it comes to Kim Sum... well, she's complicated to say the least. Her expresses look so 'innocent' regardless of what she's doing. Even while she was killing the cat, it seemed as if she genuinely thought that she was putting the cat out of its misery or something. No idea if my opinion would change later though ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

However, even if I (or anyone) tried to change the cover, it'll probably get rejected by the staff because mdl prefers the main cover to have more characters. I find it a bit weird because the covers are supposed to catch your attention rather than to show off the entire cast. But oh well, rules are rules...

I once complained about users suddenly changing the covers of old dramas to an another one with more characters (which was unnecessary and made it hard to recognise those dramas) just because they wanted to earn more contribution points through submitting edits.

So, the staff added an extra rule that popular covers of a drama would be favoured over covers with more characters. The 3rd poster is Lighter & Princess' main cover on several sites, so I guess this cover can be considered the most popular one yet. I just went through the four stages of grief ('acceptance' hasn't hit me yet) in the span of 2 seconds, I'm not sure if I'll be able survive until 21 November. The wait is killing me.

Many people do go to jail for committing assault but I'm not sure if their sentence is as long as Li Xun's. I think it was because Li Xun blinded him, he literally gouged out one of Fang Zhijing's eyes. Not to mention, Fang Zhijing's family probably had a lot of money and power so they could've had used it to increase his jail sentence.

It wasn't my favourite but 22 had to be the most impactful episode in this drama imo. Especially, that scene of Li Xun beating Fang Zhijing; you could see the disbelief and heartbreak in Mr Lin and Zhu Yun's eyes (I feel bad for these two the most), the slyness in Gao Jianhong's smirk and... Li Xun, who threw away his future, his relationship, and everything else, and still didn't seem to be regretting his actions.
You could say that one moment changed their lives forever, and the effect it left on Zhu Yun's mental health was saddening to see. I really wanted to hug her.

I was ready to get stabbed with the infamous knife-of-angst but they decided to give us a whole fucking rain of knives. Did it hurt? Yes. Am I going to continue watching the next episodes? Also yes.

Li Xun, you absolute fucking doo doo head. I get that you're trying to piss off both Zhu Yun and her parents simultaneously so that she can 'move on' and find someone else before you get into jail. But listen here you ice cube, did you just had to twist it into a 'cheating' angle? can't you COMMUNICATE with Zhu Yun for once? And exactly what do you think Zhu Yun's parents believe now? They probably think that they were 'right all along' and their daughter can't make her own life decisions. Zhu Yun tried so hard. SO FUCKING HARD. To make the relationship work despite her parents being against it, and that's how she gets repaid?

Ps before anyone comes at me: I do understand Li Xun's reasoning (and that he's still grieving over his sister) but at the moment, I feel bad for Zhu Yun the most. Let me rant in peace.

I know it's a bit random thing to say, but Mr. Lin is such a nice person and teacher. He recognises talent but he's never partial and supports each and every one of his students. The advice he gives is also both practical yet comforting, he neither bluffs nor does he make rude remarks in the name of 'brutal honesty'. He's actually reliable, nice, and the kind of teacher anyone can approach and trust. Sometimes, I feel jealous and wish I had a teacher like him lol.

Fang Shumiao is so likeable now. She had her own flaws and there was even a time when I thought she'll change for the worse, but fortunately she didn't; She recognised her flaws, learnt from her mistakes, and became a better person. She finally knows herself and what she wants. I hope her character stays that way throughout the drama.

Zhu Yun: "Li Xun, you're not alone now. With me here, you no longer need to fight against the world with your body covered in thorns like these flowers."
Li Xun: "As I said before, you can do whatever you want. I support you."

THEY'RE MARRIED YOUR HONOR. They never said they're married, they never had an official marriage, but they act married and that's enough 😌

I was not claiming it's 'underrated' if we go by the Douban ratings. I was saying that it's way too good, that even the highest ratings wouldn't be enough for this drama.

I agree and honestly, L&P could get all the attention in the world and I'd still think it's severely underrated. No amount of hype is enough when the drama and main couple are so good 😌
