I don't like Zhu Yun's mom at all, but when she dealt with Zhang Xiaobei, I thoroughly enjoyed it. For the characters in that room, it was probably a very tense and uncomfortable situation. But for me, your typical popcorn-munching viewer who lives for THESE moments in dramas, it was extremely satisfying, entertaining, therapeutic, beautiful. I'm going to screenshot that scene, print it out and frame it on my bedroom wall.

I swear waiting for the next episode of this drama to air is even more painful than accidentally stubbing my toe on a pointy furniture at 2am.

Drunk Zhu Yun is soooooo freaking cute!! she reminds me of a deer, especially since her eyes literally went '🥺' everytime she looked at Li Xun. I also love how helpless he was infront of her as he didn't knew how to deal with a drunk Zhu Yun at all lmao. I'm glad that Jingyi was chosen to play the fl, I can't imagine someone else in this role.

That senior was right. Li Xun is indeed not as experienced as all those seniors in terms of shamelessness and selfishness. Her 'ability' to blatantly claim rights over someone else's hardwork and still having the audacity to act high and mighty is indeed incomparable 👏👏

I died a lil bit when they even zoomed into her face... Like excuse me, what am I supposed to be seeing there? 🗿

I know he is going to change for the worse in the present times, but I felt bad for Gao Jianhong during the presentation scene. Li Xun had his own reason behind what he did, as Gao Jianhong is too stubborn and can't handle any criticism on his work (which is obviously going to affect him and rest of the team in the long-term) but Li Xun went a bit too far to teach him a lesson. Rather than making him more criticism-tolerant, getting mocked during a public presentation probably broke down his self-confidence to the bits.

This sucks since I do like them as a team and want them to get along, although it's obviously just my wishful thinking at this point because we know how they're going to end up. But then again, whatever Li Xun did matches with his character so don't get me wrong, I'm not calling it weak writing nor am I blaming him. As I said, he had his own reasons.

Don't pay them any mind. Majority of the Chinese viewers don't have any complaints (on the contrary — they love this drama and the cast, L&P trended on weibo and douban when the first episode premiered), it's just those few jobless individuals who have nothing better to do and oftentimes don't even watch the dramas they talk shit about. Not to mention, gossipy articles and melon accounts tend to cherry pick what could gain them more attention, so they don't really reflect the opinions of an average viewer.

Anyone else just loves the interactions between Zhu Yun and Ren Di? They're rarely shown together in the campus episodes (at least so far) yet you can actually feel the mutual understanding and respect they feel toward each other in the very few scenes they had. Zhu Yun and Fang Shumiao are supposedly 'best friends' but you can just tell that Shumiao doesn't know Zhu Yun at all; while with Ren Di it's like they're two puzzle pieces who just 'click' together — they might be differently shaped (as their personalities and goals are polar opposites) but they belong to the same jigsaw puzzle. Zhu Yun and Ren Di have the same level of empathy and maturity to not give a damn about unnecessary female rivalry.

I almost flinched when that girl accidentally spilled coffee on Li Xun's laptop and he yelled at her. He has been quite gentle (well about as gentle as someone like him could be 💀) around the fl that I forgot he was even capable of being intimidating. Watching him yell was like seeing a well-behaved shiba suddenly bite off a person's leg lmao.

At this point, I've spent half of my life just waiting. At first I was waiting for hyx (and still am), then I waited for this drama to air and now that it's finally here, I'll have to wait just for Youku to only give us 1-2 eps a day...

No, there's no time jump. He just changed his hair colour in episode 4.

I know I've been like "blond feiyu this, blond feiyu that" for who knows how long, but now, after watching the last episode released today, I think I actually prefer him with dark brown hair. Blond made him look striking and his eyes stood out a lot since his dark brown irises contrasted with the light golden colour of his hair — however, brown hair harmonise with his facial features much better and they make his gaze appear softer too.

'Lighter' is basically a cigarette lighter, the ml carries one around in the drama even though he doesn't smoke. There could be a reason (that hasn't been revealed yet) why that lighter is special to him or maybe he just enjoys fidgeting with a lighter.

"Aren't you curious about what we do? He's a murderer and I dismember the bodies for him. We were just released from the prison. What else do you want to know?" Li Xun is deadass trying to give a heart-attack to an old lady in the broad daylight 💀💀
