Yea, I really love many sweet romantic moments. This drama didn't give me that, but I still watched every bit of it, because the story and acting was good!

I'm glad I gave this a try! I started Dilraba's You Are My Glory and I'm totally sucked in. I've never seen such a beautiful pairing in any drama. Romance is my favorite drama and I'm so glad to discover Dilraba and rediscover Yang Yang.

I just finished this! L&R is still on the top for me because I'm a huge sucker for romances. This drama was good though! But I wish there was more romance :)

I finally watched and finished this series! It's good but I wish there was a lot more romance. I'm impressed by Leo's acting especially. I'm also now interested in seeing more of Dilreba's works. She is so beautiful!

I saw those before L&R. All three are my top three favorite xianxias. None of them are 100% perfect and has their flaws, but L&R is now sitting at the top of my favorites. :) I just started watching You Are My Glory and it's really sweeet. I'm not into gaming stories much, but the romance is super good and thankfully the gaming part is not taking over the story.

Should I give this a try? I need to find another xianxia / historical or wu xia to fill in the big hole left by L&R since last year... With limited time to watch dramas, I want to watch something worthwhile and with a lot of romance and sweet moments.

I agree with you that her styling could have been better in AOL! But thankfully, it didn't distract from the beautiful story. It's my first time watching a show with her in it, and I wonder what other shows you recommend?

I noticed the Xian Xia dramas I've watched so far start off with more naive and innocent female leads who go through many tribulations and then grow up. None of these truly represent real people, and I have never met Chinese females who act like how these FL leads act in the first arc. They usually mature in the future arcs. I guess the director / screenwriter want to show a clear contrast.

Oh! Another one that was so touching was when Shang Gu told Yuan Qi to call her mom and the child placed his head on her lap crying. I couldn't stop crying in that scene because the child actor was so good at portraying those emotions.

Wow, I haven't been here for a few months and I can still find your updates on Cheng Yi here! That's awesome! Still haven't found a character that tops his character in L&R. Can't wait to watch his next Xian Xia. :)

Yea! I agree! I think she actually stole the show in Ancient Love Poetry! Her acting stood out the most to me!

Just finished the drama. The main couple was sweet, but I may be greedy and wanted more sweet scenes of just them two. I felt it wasn't enough and wish the director added more. I am just a sucker for romances. I was actually very impressed by the acting of the female villain. She is also very beautiful and I'm interested in seeing her in future works, especially as a female lead. And Tian Qi is so good at adding some comedy. Loved his character here! He had a totally different character in L&R. He's a great actor! Good drama overall.

I agree, I wish we had more sweet moments of Bai Jue and Shang Gu. That's one thing that I felt this drama could have had more of. Sweet moments of our two leads.

For me, ep 40 and ep 41 were heart wrenching but really emotional episodes, and the end of ep 45 where we find out that Bai Jue actually secretly posed as Feng Ran to spend time with his son - that scene was so touching.

L&R is still my favorite drama. It just set the bar way too high!! I wish I can watch L&R all over again with a fresh mind!
