-Someday or One Day - this is not light and fluffy although the beginning does have some lighter moments. I fast forwarded on a few of the darker plots, but this drama had me crying almost all throughout. But it's super touching and I highly recommend it -Forever Love - very innocent and pure love, very enjoyable. Good acting. -A love so beautiful - this was also very pure and sweet. The acting could be better, but for newbies, I'd say they were good! Some people don't like it because I really enjoyed it. -Go Go Squid - if you can look past the FL's fashion and also initial stalker-like set-up, you would love the romance here. Many people went crazy for the ML after seeing this show and he shot up to stardom ever since.

It took me several episodes to warm up to this drama also. I almost gave up in the beginning, but now that I am at ep 31, I totally am glad I kept going because it is the type of drama that continues to only get better and better. Yang Yang improved so much. I also felt his acting was a little stiff in Love o2o, but I still loved his character and Yang Yang in Love o2o, which opened up the world of cdramas for me. His acting has gotten much better in YAMG as he has to tackle many different emotions in the later episodes. He really brings to life the character from the novel, which I just started to read since it's hard to move on from this drama!
This was one of my first cdramas as an adult back in 2016 and it opened the world of cdrama for me - just like many others also shared! I saw Chinese dramas on the TV as a child that my parents turned on, but I had no idea what was going on, nor had much interest. Yangyang will always be my first Chinese actor that I respect and admire! He improved a lot from Love020 to YAMG. It's great to see actors and actresses improve. I feel sorry for the female lead's real-life drama. I really liked the character she played in this drama! Both leads acting skills could improve, but I was still satisfied with the drama!

I actually really like the female actress in this particular drama. She really matches the character written in the original novel. I started reading the novel now after having watched most of the episodes except the last two, and I really think Dilreba and Yang Yang are perfectly casted for this drama. Maybe you can try reading the novel and then you see how she really fits the character. I also have some actresses where I have a very hard time watching dramas with them in it, even though they may be loved by the majority. And for a few of them, I've also turned around when I've seen a work that I appreciated it. Sometimes there can be many factors that can contribute to feeling that way towards an actor or actress. It's understandable. Dilreba grew on me over the years. I'm not a "fan" of hers, but I enjoyed this drama, as the main leads really brought out the characters from the novel.

I actually really loved AoL. hehe. But I know many commenters who didn't like AoL liked Love and Redemption. Yes, the FL does make impulsive actions, and later she realized her consequences and regrets it and makes it up. People did feel bad for the ML in L&R - he was just too perfect and sacrificing. I guess many of us caught the Si Feng love bug and just can't help being in awe of his love for the FL. I found the FL loveable and cute and I was rooting for her growth the whole time. Her sister was a little annoying for me in the beginning because she kind of acts like a spoiled rat and caused some bad situations to happen, but her character also grows a lot after she goes through her own story. The beginning will always present the characters with their flaws, and they become better people who redeem themselves at the end. The villain of this story is actually quite handsome but he is the most despicable villain!!

The FL and ML only have hearts for each other. But there are people who try to come in between them but without true success. I don't like stories with strong love triangles in general, so I really appreciated these this lead couple truly didn't waver their heart at all.

I personally think it's better not to force yourself. Just because the majority loves this show, myself included, you don't need to push yourself to try to like it. In most xianxias I've seen, the female leads start off innocent and ultra protected from the world, and they experience a lot and "grow up" and develop in character. I never found the FL in this show air-heady because I could understand her situation. If you put yourself in her shoes, she doesn't understand what is happening around her world and relies on her close family to understand. Her senses are closed up / dull. Feelings of love may be hidden deep inside and she can't interpret it just yet because her senses haven't opened up. She could bleed, but not feel the pain, but her body is still bleeding. Maybe you can give it a try in the future if you are still curious. She could eat, but she just can't taste what she is eating. Please don't resent this show! Maybe take a break and consider coming back in the future if you are in the mood. Take care!
