I was able to squeeze some time in to watch Zhang Jia yuan, Lin Mo, Mika, Kazuma, Mika and Wu Yu Heng's vlogs last night. Really entertaining. Lin Mo and Zhang Jia Yuan especially are hilarious.

Zhang Jiayuan has grown on me. He seems to be someone who can talk non stop. hahaha I am not watching everything as I have limited time, but from the short clips, I think he is HILARIOUS. His humor is just so laugh out loud funny and it doesn't look forced.
I only watch cdramas these days, so my recommendations would be: -Ashes of Love (One of my top 3 favorite xianxias after Love and Redemption and Eternal Love (TMOPB) -Legend of Fuyao (though not epic like L&R, TMOPB and AOL, it was a relatively good watch for a xianxia)
If you want to try a more fluffy light watch, modern dramas can fulfill that between heavier xianxias/wuxias. -Forever Love - very cute, sweet, and innocent youth drama -A Love So Beautiful - cute and fluffy youth drama, some say the ML is stiff, but I thought it fit his character.
Someday or One Day - This Taiwanese drama that made me cry from episode 1 until the end. The love is so beautiful. This is not a light watch. There are some darker tones to the drama that I skipped, but overall a beautiful work of art. Confusing at first, but very great acting.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and so are you. This drama originally didn't receive much hype since it was starring relatively unknown actors, so it was a surprise that it was so well- received by the general public for the story and acting. I personally loved TMPOB, AOL, but was not too into ELOD and L&D. To each their own. Just as you are sharing your opinion here, others are sharing their opinion and their love for L&R in other pages. And it's fine to share opinions, as long as we do so respectfully. Honestly, it's hard to avoid comparisons since they're the same genres. There will always be fans that can't help but mention their loved dramas any chance they get.
I do agree that Cheng Yi truly shined the most. I sincerely enjoyed the FL's portrayal of her character and admit though that I did notice her acting in some emotional scenes were lacking next to Cheng Yi in some ways. But overall I think she did great and touched the hearts of many through her acting. Zhang Yu Xi also is very loved. Most of the comments here about her are positive.
Since this is my fave drama, I want everyone to love it as much as I do, but I also understand not everyone will enjoy the same cup of tea the same way. I'm also looking forward Zhang Yu Xi's two dramas with Cheng Yi! At first, I was not open to seeing Cheng Yi with sis in law, but now that several months passed since I finished Love and Redemption, my heart has opened! Hope those two dramas are good! ^^
