It will be a rollercoaster ride, but there are too many sweet and cute moments to keep our hearts warm. The ML and FL are 100% committed in heart to each other. Though there are frustrating people who TRY to get in the way. Warning though, ep 38-48 is fuuulll of angst, (what xianxia doesn't have angst and misunderstandings?) BUT it's totally worth it - and misunderstandings are resolved pretty quickly - and you will be rewarded with a sweet satisfying conclusion.

Oh I hardly read summaries, hehehe. I usually go straight into the drama with little to no expectation and just follow the journey. :) Sometimes a rewatch of certain scenes later down the line is really helpful and I catch/understand more details.

Building on top of what @ZeeNayn shared - the FL's family (especially her twin sister LingLong) has guided her on how to interpret the situations around her since she was little. For example, although she may face a situation where she is taught that she should respond with anger, she can't fully feel that anger and will easily let it go. A "normal" person would probably hold a grudge and/or get revenge. Although she can touch a firecracker and not feel the pain, her hand is clearly burned red from the fire. Her sister LingLong is actually a really good sister (although her personality is a bit more impulsive) but she treats her loved ones really well, and defends and protects Xuan Ji from being taken advantage of. :) It's soo fun watching Xuan Ji gain her senses one by one!

Eternal Love is amazing - but it took me over 10 episodes to really sink into it. When YeHua appeared in ep 11 or 12, that was when things got super exciting. I recommend going into it with an open mind and not too high of an expectation. Love and Redemption really set the bar high for ML, hahaha. Si Feng is more tender overall. YeHua is passionately intense and unwavering in his love. :)

Wow, this article is like a gem. How can I get more people to read this? Love and Redemption is just toooo good to keep to ourselves!! I used to be hesitant to watch anything more than 16-20 episodes and mostly watched kdrama. Then Eternal Love changed my world. Now Love and Redemption came and topped it. (Eternal Love is my first love though, haha), and Love and Redemption is my forever love. :D
