Nothing of hers have aired since she was low key blacklisted . She hasn’t filmed a single drama or variety show since the paris show and is only doing magazines and attending some events. I think she is still blacklisted but not completely but dramas and producers probably have fear to cast her in anything and that is why this one was dropped like this . You are right at the end of the day good scriptwriter and a director can make or break a drama. Just look at last year na how many S/S+ class dramas flopped because of bad directing and script and how many low cost dramas have risen thanks to good script and directing.
I think nowadays Xk knows what he is looking for in a script and is picking very good dramas.

Same, plus xianxia plots if not done right are so overused these days, so many S class xianxia dramas flop or underperform . Plus the synopsis of those two doesn’t even sound that interesting and for the 2nd one the rumored script writer is awful.
