Where are those scenes where Jo was nice to North? Where is this sentiment "I like him because he was nice to me" coming from? Are there more scenes in the uncut version? Or am I just blind? I just see Johan being demanding and trying to buy North, expecting physical favours in return... I can understand that Jo liked North, what I can't wrap my head around is how and when North fell for Jo. There was no indication in recent episodes, besides everyone around North telling him he is supposed to like Jo. They have the chemistry but the storyline is not supporting their lovestory at all.

Li Yun Rui is absolutely slaying his character as Song Mo! Please give him more leading roles! He deserves them! I love this drama so much! It's entertaining and the characters are well written! I still can't tell who the villains going to be, something that in most costume dramas comes pretty easily yo me, I have my suspicions but I'm not quite sure yet. Li Yun Rui is so handsome in all his costumes, but especially in this golden armor. I could watch him smile all day long. I can't with him. I did think he was a great actor in the other dramas he made before, but it feels like the role of Song Mo was written just for him, it has me thinking "this is it, it's finally his time to shine", he is perfect for it.

I agree with you so much! 💯💯 This is the same problem I have with this pairing. I was looking forward to JoNorth, but the trope and the resulting storyline is disappointing...

I was looking forward to Johan and North's story so much, because I really like Bas and Maxky has the visuals, I was looking forward to see his acting too. But I just don't feel them. I can't see their chemistry and most scenes feel cringeworthy. I feel sad that I can't enjoy their storyline. I hate that everyone is forcing North to be with Johan when they spend very little time together and everytime Johan wasn't even nice to him. (Definitely looking at you here, Ter. Your "shipping" is so annoying, you're supposed to be Norths friend, but you are selling him out like hot cake) Using the debt as an excuse is really low and adds stress to North's life. He wants to be good to North but then makes his debt higher and higher, making North in turn more desperate to find jobs to do, leading to dangerous situations. I really hate this type of power inbalance. I still don't understand in what way North is supposed to like Jo when he is just lording over him with his orders and demands. There were instances where Jo was nice but they don't make his power abuse any better. I wish I could find their novel in English somewhere. I would like to know if their story there was better. I normally like News series but this one was a bit of a let down after ep 4.

I agree! When I was thinking abut the possible mastermind behind the kidnapper, I also thought about him! Or Sang Woo, but I think that he would be too obvious.

Woah! I heard this before in other dramas but didn't make that connection, since it's "just" some tomatoes, but good to know! It even fits in with the narrative of this drama, since his wife is being threatened! Such a nice detail! I like my first suggestion better too though 😉😄🤭

The 3 half tomatoes he cooks for her in the breakfast scene in ep 2 are living rent free in my head... he cuts 2 tomatoes, there are 4 half's on the cutting board but when he puts them into the pan there are suddenly only 3 half's... what happened to the 4th one? Did he eat it? Did she? Did he feed it to her? There are so many possibilities to what happened to that 4th half that we will never know... hahahahaha I can't XD

First has so much charisma and charm in this series! It's so hot! He is hot! I'm normally more of a Khaotung girl/bias, but First is slaying this so hard and we only got one episode yet!

I agree! It feels so much like a set up! Like, North only met Johan once and the situation was so awkward, but Ter is there kind of forcibly pushing him in Johans direction. I get why Hill would help his friend, but Ter is Norths friend first not Johand. It feels like they are selling him out... Yes, North broke all these things. But why should he be solely responsible for the damage at the bar and the other people's medical bills? They were all together in this fight! And at Johans house the maid and Johan just watched as he accidentally broke the things. Like, Johan is stinking rich but never head of insurance for expensive things, like the vase?? You can't tell me that. I really hope they make the explanation plausible.

I'm enjoying the whole drama. If you are into cute first/puppy love give the first couple episodes a try.

I really like this series. Hill is so cute. And I was looking forward to Johann North but I didn't quite feel them in today's episode... I got so annoyed when Ter started to forcefully ship North with Johann, like North is supposed to be your friend, until now he didn't even know Johann existed and he has enough trouble paying the debt and interest but there you are forcing him to text and call and be nice, shipping them, when there is no indication from North that he likes Johann at all... And I kind of get the ick with the debt and making North do what Johann wants... that is such a power imbalance... It doesn't feel right. It feels like North gets sold to Johann... especially knowing that Johann supposedly likes North... it borders on manipulation. I hope they find a good way to clear this...
