Until now, really I don't understand why she should return home at ep 29. She already saw the hypocrisy of 6-sects. If she came back with certain plan to do something, then okay. But, nothing. She just home sick. Ep 30, her interaction with Zhao Yu Zhi annoyed me also. Not to mention her spineless parents.

I have to admit that Pursuit of Jade seems to have stronger starter episodes. Based on what I have seen through clips and people comments, it was visual fest. But, I prefer to wait to see whether the story will follow through.

This one though, the ML personality and behavior enamored me. It is rare for C-drama to have this kind of character as lead.

I stop at ep 13 currently. I cannot handle the way drama taking matriarchal theme. The story as a whole, seems to take relish in denigrating man, making them nothing more than brainless fool in love. Sometimes, the scenes even disgust me.

Thank you for you rant. I have lots of pent up frustration watching ep 29 and 30. Everytime I see the faces of leader of 6-sects, I am so annoyed and angry. Qi Yun Ke, Li Wen Xun, Yang He Ying, and that some temple leader (the one that poisoned Mu Qing Yan). Not only these, I somehow also annoyed toward FL parents. I understand they love the FL very much and their conduct is very logical as a loving parent that only want the best for their daughter. But, I see they are so spineless, seeing them annoy me so much.

It seems, this is not yet depicted in the drama. But, Cai Ping Shu is indeed have some ambiguous feeling toward Qi Yun Ke. Before Yin Sulian and Mu Zheng Yang, both of them share a very close relationship. Either it was truly platonic or the love was just not yet there. Then Cai Ping Shu got involved with Mu Zheng Yang, killed him, killed Nie Heng Zheng, getting crippled.

In the novel, Cai Zhao said that her aunts always the happiest when Qi Yun Ke visit (in her last years). The abode of Cai Ping Shu during her last years, the only outsider that can enter is only Qi Yun Ke. And years after Qi Yun Ke died, Cai Zhao wanted to move Qi Yun Ke ashes to be with Cai Ping Shu, said that it will make her aunt happy.

Dunno, all of these just make me uncomfortable.

Honestly, I even pictured a sad ending inside my mind where ML dies and FL regret forever.

She is used to have comfortable back up, somewhere to go back after her playing around. Therefore, even though her master and parents care feel so suffocating to me, she welcomes them and relish in them. If the ML was not in danger of dying in ep 26, pretty sure she will never defy them.

I know that lots of people here love Cai Ping Su character and interested in their romance, but I somehow dislike this character. First, it is very Mary Sue character (everyone loves her and somehow she is so perfect in anyway). Second, I dislike she is like having "relationship" with 2 men at once; Mu Zheng Yang and Qi Yun Ke.

Yes, exactly the same. Actually the drama kind of smooth her character already. In the novel, she literally abandoned still injured Mu Qing Yan inside the cave. The drama changes this scene into ep 28 + 29. In the later part in the novel, we get to know that this FL action traumatized him so much that he does not allow FL to walk in front of him anymore, because he does not want to see her back. Perhaps if the drama follows this route, majority will end up cursing Cai Zhao.

I understand that FL feels angry for Mu Qing Yan manipulation, but to back and forth between him and her sects is infuriating. She can "punish" him with other way. Pretty sure he will comply with anything as long as she stays.

Seems we are not alone in annoyed toward FL, hahahaha

Unfortunately, I somehow never able to like Hou Ming Hao performance. I tried hard and also he is so handsome, but well .........

Zhou Yi Ran performance here is beyond my expectation. He is so so good!

Sadly, part of me also wants sad ending if anything to give FL a taste of her own medicine.

Unfortunately, it is what happened in the novel also. The break up scene in the novel is even worse than depicted in the drama ep 29. In the novel, the FL only finally commit to ML at the very end arc, which kind of annoyed me. I mean, at that time, it is no brainer already to choose ML. The situation is "safe" finally.

But she never wants to make a choice. This is what frustrating me. When push come to shove, she will choose Mu Qing Yan; she knows deep down she cannot live without him. But when he is well, then she starts to regret and want to come back. What the hell ......

I really think that she will be better off with Song Yu Zhi. Song Yu Zhi is "safe" and she does not need sacrifice anything. If I am not badly attached to Mu Qing Yan and wants him happy (which mean he needs to have Cai Zhao), then I will very much welcome sad ending.
