I much more prefer we get Xuan Ye backstory than watching this story about nine fins. Dunno why, I cannot get interested at all. The drama really try to elevate Yu Mo status so that he can be compared with Ying Yuan -_-

Yes please. I was binge watch episode 28 - 31 yesterday night. It was such a bore fest. I crave main lead interaction so much. I just .... so done with Yu Mo side story. I cannot connect with his way of thinking, thus it is difficult to empathize with him.

South Wind is rumored to come out this winter. I will be more than happy if it can come sooner. Youku must want to ride the wave caused by IS popularity. It suspect Draw the Line will air first though

Therefore, I cannot sit still watching this palace drama currently ongoing. I just cannot bring myself to care about Yu Mo story. I like Zhao Lan. But this loveline felt so boring and draggy. I am always like: please hurry up and get done with this .....

We still need to return to Lingxiao sect where Tang Zhou will be forced to kill Yan Dan. And there should be some accident that cause Tang Zhou to be seriously injured to the point that Yan Dan need to sacrifice her other half heart to save him. After all this, we still have Xuan Ye backstory ....

Aaarrgghhh!!! Please stop wasting time with Ying Deng and Yu Mo!! I need to see how Yan Dan reconcile with Ying Yuan and accepting him again (now with all his responsibility).

Hope this scene truly comes out in episode 32 today. I am sick of Ying Deng and Yu Mo loveline. It is time for the main lead relationship to take the next step.

Yes. We were all perplexed with 80 before. But that before we realized the arc division. If I had known, I would have stand by 80 episode. Heavenly arc is compact but I think it can be stretched to be maximum of 22 episodes. Mortal arc, with this kind of slow burn, can be stretched to 25 episodes or more. The rest will be for Xuan Ye flashback, demon Xuan Xiang, Ying Yuan - Yan Dan love tragedy, and final battle.

With this kind of acting skill between lead, stretching episodes, as long as they are on screen, I think few will complain. Not to mention lots of people are already enamored with Xuan Ye and waiting for his appearance.

If only we stay with 80 episodes, I will be very very okay with these "side quest". But since we only have 57, I am worried of rushed ending.

Me too. I am so filled with trepidation seeing how slow the plot moving right now. Ying Deng seducing Tang Zhou is expected but I am frustrated that the drama stretch Yan Dan response toward that.

I know filler episode is inevitable because they need to build up the side character (perhaps propping the new actor/actress, too). But I am so afraid that we will have a rushed ending. I want the drama to truly flesh out the growth of Ying Yuan and Yan Dan relationship

I am so bored watching this Dragon arc. Too many Ying Deng, Yu Mo, and those dragon race. I want the story to focus on Tang Zhou more since his mission should be the driving force in this mortal arc.

Mortal arc is quite boring .... I understand the need of slow built up, but I think they focus too much of secondary and supporting role. Already episode 31 and main lead romance is still walking with snail speed.

I had to run to xuanhuan and BL genre in order to satisfy my craving of ML POV. Up until now, I have not found any normal xianxia (not BL) novel with ML POV or at least neutral. So, I am also like you, liking the drama adaptation of xianxia because we will get balance POV there.

In my long years experience of watching drama, there is a shift toward ML POV these past decade, starting with TMOPB that give portion for Ye Hua POV. Before this, ML POV usually stay hidden throughout the drama. It was proven to be successful strategy. I see that IS also employs the same strategy since we see more of Ying Yuan/Tan Zhou than in the novel.

I start reading the novel, but still stuck at chapter 19. The novel is quite boring actually. And the way it is written is not that stellar, .... kind of confusing. I heard that this novel was not popular in China, so lots of people are perplexed that suddenly lots of novel reader popping out bashing the drama.

People said that Ying Yuan in the novel is a jerk. Moreover, the novel does not elaborate more on him and his reasoning of conduct. It is different with the drama where we can see his and Yan Dan POV both. It gives us more background on why he does this and that.

I actually so looking forward for Yan Dan to understand Ying Yuan, what he had done, and why he had to do that. At this point, everything she did is akin to temper tantrum. I also wish Ying Yuan to learn to let himself be happy. I hope he can find the balance between love and responsibility.

I also read the theory that Yan Dan has to stab Tang Zhou in order to save him. Hope this is true.
