I remember this interview. I think it is around when he was/would be filming South Wind. Based on what I have seen in the trailer, he looks good too in modern clothes. But, he in costumes is kind of from different dimension. His face, body proportion, behavior, everything is just screams beautiful.

Oh, he is a foodie?? I think all those tea that he loves to drink help somehow. I know I always drink hot chinese tea after a greasy meal.

Hahahahahahaha!! People in China also talk about that abs of him. It is admirable that he can take care of his body to that way since he needs to be thin, too in order to play xianxia. Those pyjamas looks so good mainly because of his body proportion

In this forum, it was only in the beginning (when the drama still casting and filming). Currently, everything is peaceful already. As I have said in my post above that I dislike their conduct "when she took the role back then".

Hahahahahaha!! Tang Zhou literally change clothes everyday (or every day change). In heaven realm, because of the white theme, I cannot see the different between Ying Yuan clothes clearly. But in mortal realm, his clothes is stark different with each other.

Me too, still awake to brush IS discussion in douban, hahahaha. Both L&R and IS really give lots of clothes to Cheng Yi. Not that I complaining. He truly looks good on them!!

His acting is so good. I feel so distressed for his character. I really want to see his Xuan Ye here. Because it will be his first time playing a villain character.

There is a lot discussion about Yu Mo actually for these past two days. People moaning because of the lack of Tang Zhou, and they just cannot get entertained and empathize with Yu Mo. I tend to agree with them. Because if we look at it logically, Yu Si Feng (Cheng Yi character in L&R) actually is only one dimensional ML whose live revolves around FL only. But somehow, in his hand, this character become so iconic and heart-wrenching; make audience feels lots of love for him.

I think if we switch the actor, with Cheng Yi act as Yu Mo, we all here will already have Second Male Lead syndrome, hahahahahah

I have nothing against Yang Zi herself. I like her in IS. It is very lucky for us audience that we can have both Cheng Yi and Yang Zi in xianxia. All my comment here during the drama airing is pure analysis about character.

But I dislike how her fans conducting themselves when she took this role back then. It made her looks so high and mighty, as if doing this xianxia was beneath her because she already achieved success with AOL. I have told people back then, that their conduct would reflect poorly on Yang Zi herself because it showed her to be arrogant. But, no one listening.

Just few days ago, I read some comment on douban forum. This particular person literally said that after that debacle, her feeling toward Yang Zi changed. How many of these kind of people out there? We never know. Fans can bring down their idol. I just hope people is more respecting and wiser toward each other.

Also, acting wise, Cheng Yi is clearly very very good. I don't think any of her co-star all this time has skill as good as him. The debacle back then even made it as if Cheng Yi was not worth of her (that was how I saw it based on people comments).

As of now, I can see that Cheng Yi fans is so very active promoting this drama. I don't know whether Yang Zi fans also. There is already a debate regarding this in douban also. But, everyone just restraining themselves, so not to make a ruckus while the drama is airing. I just hope this peaceful moment can last.

I am a xianxia lover. I can never get bored with this kind of story. Also, it is not fair to only judge xianxia. Those modern dramas also repeating the same troupe over and over. Why don't they rant for those, too? At this point of human history, it is almost nothing new under the sun anymore.

I am familiar with AvenueX. I think people need to stop taking her review as bible. I admit that some of her review is enlightening since she is so familiar with filming technique and China culture. But, as far as I know, she has this huge bias toward xianxia genre; which is quite weird because she claimed that her site started from Ten Miles Peach Blossom. She seems to be annoyed on how xianxia dramas are similar with each other these years.

Problem is, not everyone have need to see something "new" everytime. And all big xianxia dramas these past years were not perfect. So what is wrong with IS repeating things? It is not we already have perfect solution for xianxia. I honestly feel that AvenueX should stop reviewing xianxia drama if it annoys her so. She cannot say anything good about it anyway due to her personal dislike.

I refrain myself to comment about Yang Zi fans here so not to make unneeded ruckus. But, I need to say that in every way, real audience will win in the end.

There are quite a lot discussion regarding Yu Mo in douban forum in China. In short, majority are agree that the problem lies on the actor. And I somehow agree with them on this. There is someone that said that it is up to the actor to make audience empathize with his character. This is also true. Ying Yuan character is easily can turn into one dimensional character (a typical cold and powerful character). But, somehow Cheng Yi is successful in making audience feel so much heartache for this character.

The character line from Yu Mo is deemed to be complete and good enough to build up his character. He has his time with Yan Dan in this past few episodes and he also get his own story in mortal realm arc. However, somehow the actor fails to capitalize on it. Honestly, I feel nothing from their interaction. I don't feel any sadness for Yu Mo for his failed romance. The character felt so flat.

Ying Yuan looks so heavenly. But looking at him these past few episodes, I feel suffocated. I can feel his despair

Exactly! Honestly, I also dislike those naive, innocent, free FL as you coined above. What annoyed me the most about Yan Dan character up to this point is that her "free" attitude. She never think clearly about the consequences of her conduct. All these time, Ying Yuan in a way always bails her out from her mess. And somehow, this kind of thinking make its way into her romance affair. What does she want Ying Yuan to do anyway? Rebel against heaven law and leave to far away place with her or die trying?!

I am not saying that Ying Yuan and Yan Dan could only gaze at each other with longing forever. There will be a time when they can be open about their love. The law is stupid, it is clear. But, they need to show that they can be responsible and even more productive with their love powering them. Looking at Yan Dan, everyone will say that it is a very bad idea for immortal falling in love.

I never realize that those people will ever come across Cheng Yi. Because popularity wise, there is still wide gap between them. Lets take it from another point of view then: if they are attacking Cheng Yi so it would mean they are threatened by him. It is something to be boasted about.

Ah, 227 ... I see. I think I am know who the pairing is, hahahaha. It was truly an event that left me with bad taste. I cannot imagine what it was like for those who were living in China.

Just let them be. CP fans bound to create chaos in the end. Just let us be thankful that IS does not have that problem currently (hope it last). Take it positively, this means that people will too much absorbed in that CP so they will not have time to disturb IS.

Finally, I find someone here who can understand my thought!! Exactly what I want to say! On the bridge of emptiness, when I heard how Yan Dan literally forced Ying Yuan to acknowledge his feeling (or their romance affair in rougher wording) IN FRONT of the heavenly soldiers ......... No, just no. It was akin asking Ying Yuan to die together with her. That very fact actually showed me that Yan Dan is not yet ready to be in a more serious relationship with someone like Ying Yuan with tons of responsibility.

People said she is emotionally distraught and spent. I do agree with it. It is not easy to be in Yan Dan shoes at that moment. But, people core principal is tested exactly when he/she is in his/her lowest moment. And in that moment, it is so clear to me that Yan Dan cannot accept that her sacrifice is not acknowledged and properly "repaid". In a way, her pain is part of her own undoing. She is the one who follow with her sister lie. If only she kept a cool head for a moment, she would have realized how different Ying Yuan treated Zhi Xi compared with how he treated her at Diya.

Future trailer shows a good character development for Yan Dan. I, too, wish that someday Yan Dan understand what it truly meant to sacrifice for love. And we will have our couple happily together ever after

Yeah. Not to mention he is already somehow guilty of his own bloodline. Asking him to throw away heaven is out of question, for any reason except the heaven is doing a heinous crime.

Also, the way Yan Dan acts during her mopping also not giving a good impression of romance. Of course she is still young, thus her conduct is understandable, but .......

What happened? Are there CP fans from Yang Zi previous dramas trying to make a comparison with IS?

Hahahahahahaha!!! That kind of drama certainly makes you wonder why their kingdom is not crumbling yet when all they are doing is chasing romance.

That's why Ying Yuan character in this drama is quite refreshing. We can see him wallowing in his pain, but never at the expense of common people interest.
