This scene was one of the reasons that made me love YL so much. It showed how sincere she was, she didn’t mind doing “silly” things and hurting herself as long as she could lighten his mood and prove her point to him, that there was still hope, he should keep clinging to it. And she indeed looked very pretty under the showering flowers. I could see XD was totally mesmerized and falling hard for her there.

Yess, the name is so XD, and he gave it to their private quarter in the whole residence 😌

Me too ! The whole scene was supposed to be sad, but at the same time I felt happy and full of hope for him because the tree finally bore fruits; YL’s prayer came true. He now had a family of his own.

Oh I forgot the pink field nearby, where they took their marriage vows. How could I ☺️ !

We’d had 2 beautiful scenes of two of them together under the tree, so it was indeed painful seeing him standing there all alone, missing her. I found “the tree finally bearing fruits” was a subtle but very good way of the writer to encourage our cp/ assure us viewers that all their struggles would not be in vain; that the pain they endured now would turn into sweetness; that XiaoBu would have a HE they deserved.

It’s nice that you remember the frozen tree. I also believe it represented his bro when he poured out his heart to her in ep5. As you suggested, this tree should be moved to DCP too.

I love this idea of yours for our cp’s future business. I too have been wondering what they would do after leaving the imperial city. This idea is very interesting and XD together with his devoted men would be more than capable of doing.
And YES to them settling down at Dream Cloud Pavilion, maybe not right away, but after a couple of years. I really love that place; it looked simple but oh so peaceful and romantic; the place where they got their first kiss and exchanged nicknames; the used-to-be-dilapidated fishermen’s hut he bought and renovated for her just because he saw that she’d been reluctant to leave the day their gang came to their “unwanted” rescue 🥰. And I wish they could somehow have their pear tree moved here too. That would be perfect. Did anyone notice the tree did bear fruits in episode 24 ? I’m sure that was their tree.

I always found it funny and chuckled every time YL scolded XD for his pretentious and arrogant acting, like when he acted as if he could row a boat (episode 8) or could fish (episode 15) when he actually didn’t know how; or when he got shot by the arrow and almost drowned, he still looked down on those assassins, saying if the situation had been reversed (he himself had been the assassin), “XD” would have died, YL got kinda annoyed and asked how could he still be so petty proud in his current state 😂😂😂

They didn’t. I’d say they even treasured e/o more through this experience. This is one of the beauty of this drama imo.

What I find even more fun about this scene is even though he had already fallen for her then, he just didn’t let her win 😅 (in my mind: XD, you’re a man, speak up first haha). And she eventually had to give in and be a good loser 🤣. Their dynamics in this game & the kite gifting scene was highly entertaining.

Mine is ep32 when he got jealous and tried to punish her by having her brew 10 pots of a “newly prescribed” medicine, messing with her work, but then he ended up doing all the work by himself. That whole scene was super cute and fun. He was totally under her thumb 🤣

Didn’t he always tease her about her love of material lifestyle, hence that was indeed a “light” packing 🤣
Their exchange in the tunnel before this scene was funny and cute too. He jokingly scared her that if they eloped, the future life with him would be difficult. To that she responded he might as well followed her instead and that she would stop sitting around doing nothing and start working hard to support and feed him 😆. Gotta love her

And then she said the words had the similar pronunciation with her name. Maybe if someone here who is Chinese, hope she/he could help clarify
