You do realized there are so many korean actors who are slim too right? But are pack with muscle and strength. Just like many chinese men too. Just because some actors look more slim fitted doesn't mean they are not strong and can't "protect" their fl or others. I understand, it is your opinion but seriously can we as a society stop with the whole, "they're too skinny" or the "they're too big". Actors can never win.

On Viki, the ending is cut short, it didn't include the ending scene of Gu Yusu and Gu Yunzheng. Although we didn't get to see Gu Yusu face, we at least got to know that he existed in the drama.
Today, I suddenly have a longing for LY7T. I miss Chukong and Xiang Yun. So many xianxia dramas came out this year and yet I was only able to really enjoyed and finish two of them, TTEOTM and LY7T.
I cave in and purchase the sweet special on the Youku App. Although it look like it is just "deleted" scenes. It is quite a shame that we couldn't get those scenes in the actual drama. The episodes cut in a way did affect the flow of LIP.
With the deleted scenes, we would of know that Jiang Mu Ying also work at the lab and helped with the experiment of the mice and breeding them. We would of see their journey of each phase and not just a time jump.
Also, the deleted scene where Su Wei'an bravely kissed the drunk/tipsy Gu Yunzheng, that should of been included as it is literally the start of Su Wei'an romantic feelings for Gu Yunzheng.
I've see comments that said Su Wei'an didn't do enough for Gu Yunzheng. Although relationship shouldn't be transactional and I'm also not trying to convince you to think otherwise. There was one deleted scene where it is the day after Gu Yunzheng got sick after the vaccine. Su Wei'an was getting ready to leave to go back to the lab to find where the contamination is coming from. She said to Gu Yunzheng, "I don't want you to lose to He Xiao Guang. Going back to the lab is to help you, not hold you back".
This made me think about Su Wei'an and Gu Yunzheng relationship. They definitely do not have a lovey dovey type of romance. It is a mature relationship where two people are very passionate and perseverance in their career. Su Wei'an working hard in the lab is her way of supporting Gu Yunzheng and their passion to find a cure for HD. Su Wei'an is definitely not the FL where you'll find her doing romantic gesture. She is not one to be a burden to people.
Gu Yunzheng often said in the drama that they both do not need words of affirmation or validation to know where they stand in each other eyes. I think this alone says a lot that romantic gesture whether in work or outside does not defined the way they care for each other.
We may just think that Su Wei'an working day and night at the lab is just a way for her to find a cure for herself. Yes, indeed that is true. However, isn't she also helping Gu Yunzheng in his research? Them both working hard together to find a breakthrough for HD.
Point is, I think we would of gotten a better overall feels if they didn't have to omit episodes.

In the novel, the wedding was pretty much the same like how it was in the drama.
After the wedding, Gu Yunzheng and Su Wei'an talk about having a child together, the earlier the better. Su Wei'an plan to get genetic screening done and if the baby is positive for HD then she will terminate the pregnancy. She doesn't want their kid to hate them and go through the suffering and fears like Wei'an.
There wasn't really any details about her health deteriorating due to HD as times pass. In the epilogue, Su Wei'an had developed cancer due to the clinical drug trial. She has been in the hospital cancer ward. The epilogue details her health deteriorating, and her going through chemo. We can assume that she pass due to the cancer.
Their son Gu Yusu also became a doctor and and do medical research as well.
I think both novel and drama have quite a tragic ending. Except, I feel like the ending moment of Gu Yunzheng and Su Wei'an in the novel you felt it more. We rarely get to see Gu Yunzheng emotional side and the epilogue did a good job at highlighting that.

Yes, this ended for vip members. Although, the ending intended to make it seem like an OE, it is much more a SE. The fl most likely didn't make it. We don't actually see it but we can assume so.
