I have to say I really loved special effects here. Whole drama was decent, esp for the sequel (bc they tend to…
Let's just say if, Naksu and JBY weren't the same person/soul and Jang Uk did fall in love with another person, that is completely valid. It is very healthy to move on and heal. Jang Uk has been in agony for three years and close off any romantic relationship with anyone. Suddenly a mysterious and bubbly person came into his life, that is going to change his mindset of death. Just because he fell in love with a "different" person does not dictate how much he love/care for Naksu.
And you are right, she didn't have any commonality like Naksu because she isn't Naksu. She is Cho Yeong. This is how she probably would of been if her whole family and village didn't get killed.
Also, you said she didn't look like Naksu, if you want to talk face wise then it is mudeok/JBY face NOT Naksu/Cho Yeong. Jang Uk fell in love with Naksu and I feel like he made his confession super clear in part one on who he love. Mudeok has always talk about shifting her body because that body was weak. Even when she had her energy in that ice stone barrier, she contemplated who souls should be her next body. Let's just say Mudeok did shift her soul to someone and they both didn't die, would this whole, "she didn't even look like Naksu" matter to you?
im on ep 6 rn and I had really high expectations for this, but so far its just mid..stereotypical story, confusing…
I was honestly surprised at how fast Jang Uk gate of energy open, and then ofc it started to slow down from there. There's definitely a lot of things happening but it doesn't feel like it, because the plot isn't progressing as much. So yes, part one definitely feels like it was dragging at some point. But then, that's how drama are.
It doesn't start airing in my region till end of Jan... sigh... What do you all think? Was the second part as…
Well part two is a definitely a different feels. It's more dear to me and I wouldn't say either part is better than the other. It really depends on what you're looking for in each part.
I am finally able to put together what it is that made part two so dear to my heart. Now, no drama is perfect, and part one definitely set up a lot of the plot for us already. However, I didn't feel too attached to part one, nor were in agony waiting for the next episode. Even after watching the last episode of part one, I felt that there were a lot of filler and it started to feel slow paced. I often question why part two was needed and why the story couldn't be wrap up in one part.
Nonetheless, I was heart broken by the end of part one. After what the lead both went through, and they couldn't even live the nice and quiet life they wanted. The world was always so cruel to them, and then they found happiness, love and comfort in one another.
Part two, to me never scream revenge. It never gave me the impression that Yeong was going to take revenge. Even in part one when she finally realized that it was Jinmu all along, who abandoned her and killed her. Badass assassin Naksu is just not who she is anymore. It's unfortunate for those that were expecting her to wield a sword again, but if you watch the whole series again it was never about Naksu taking revenge to kill Jinmu.
Part two, although people hated the amnesia and felt that it was dragged for too long, I enjoy every part of it. I felt both of their agony, Jang Uk longing for Naksu. Jang Uk wanting to die because he couldn't bared to live without his lover anymore. And when they both finally meet, I have a sense of relief that they are reunited at last.
Now could Jang Uk not recognize Yeong? Jang Uk live the last three year trying to accept that Naksu is dead. How could someone who don't care about the world, someone who couldn't love anymore care to think that JBY is Yeong? I don't think Jang Uk character was dense at all just because he couldn't recognize Yeong. The process of seeing Jang Uk falling in love with Yeong all over again was so heart warming. Jang Uk pushed Yeong away all the time but can't help but be drawn to her.
Whether you want to believe that Jang Uk fell in love with another before knowing who she really is or that he fell in love with Yeong again is up to you to interpret. It was so painfully to watch Jang Uk and Yeong not recognize each other, because I just wanted them to finally embrace one another again.
If anything, part two to me was more about Yeong and Jang Uk fighting their "ill fated" to be together despite all the obstacles. Love really brought them together.
Those that wanted more episodes, I am genuinely curious what is it that you want more of? Did you wanted a more satisfying end of Jinmu and the fire bird? Jang Uk was introduced as the strongest man in Daeho because that's the power of the ice stone. It is no surprise that Jang Uk ended Jinmu and the aninamous assembly just like that. His power and strength is that strong.
Part two to many may not be the best and that is okay because both parts have their weaknesses. I just cried too much in part two because I was too attached to their agony and longing for each other. But then that could just be because I am an emotional person. I will miss coming here everyday to read everyone comments.
I know I shouldn't let rating determine a drama, but I can't help but look at rating first. I also wonder if people only rate a drama low because of the ending and not the drama overall. With that said, I've actually really enjoy this drama, it was light and not complicated. I will agree that the last three episodes felt so off and the ending was a huge let down. I'm disappointed that when it was reveal of how they actually met it was put in an episodes where Jun was kind of an ass.
Nonetheless, no drama is perfect, and so sometimes you just gotta click play and see if you like it.
Was that the end of Jin Mu,the most evil character of the show? All that build up for that ending? Not to mention,…
I think people wanted badass Naksu so bad that they forget she's not Naksu anymore. She's Cho Yeong, even when she got her memories back and realized she's not JBY, she's chose to be Cho Yeong. Badass assassin Naksu is not who she is anymore. It's unfortunate that yeah we didn't get her slaying Jinmu, but it wasn't a surprise that she wasn't Naksu the assassin. I still think that we have a badass FL, just because she's not in action doesn't make her character a wasted potential.
I am usually very satisfied with endings. But this movie left me feeling disappointed and the most question of all, WHY?!?!?!? I don't get it and I don't think anyone can convince me or make me feel better. Nonetheless, let's just say my two main had such cute chemistry. I hope to see them in a future drama.
Don't watch this hoping that it would be similar to Move to Heaven. I think that healing drama are one of a kind and they are definitely not for everyone. I truly believe that there's a season for every genre and if you find yourself not getting into it, just put jt on hold. Also, I just want to say I applaud JCW versatility as an actor. Seeing how he had always been open about trying different genre and challenging himself with new things. So instead of saying JCW choices of work has been poorly chosen or not well received, just appreciate his talent and how much he has matured shown through his work. I will always remembered JCW character in this drama because it is indeed a unique character. Now, if you prefer him in action then just move along.
Watching this only makes me appreciate Jark Sadtroo Soo Hua Jai my favorite lakorn which has somewhat a similar…
First of all, don't even be sorry. This lakorn doesn't deserve it. This lakorn was trash after Meena was introduced. The angst in the beginning was already so good and they couldn't just go with it.
I lost hope in Ji Chang Wook he don't know anymore how to choose a good script. After Healer and K2 he's projects…
What is considered a fail? Low rating? Non hype drama? Non action dramas? JCW doesn't know how to choose drama? First of all, actors can choose whatever drama they want partake in. You clearly have not kept up to date with JCW, it is obvious that to him it is about exploring different genre to grow as an actor. Just because you're not enjoying his choices of drama doesn't necessarily means he been choosing half ass script. I seriously don't understand people who know they're not into specific genre but watch it and complain that it is the actor fault for choosing bad script.
i wanna hold on bc of the cast but i'm finding it really boring so far...
This kind of drama/plot is not for everyone. So if you're finding yourself bored just put it on hold. You might find yourself liking it sometime in the future.
And we need to appreciate Ji Changwook the actor l don't think there is popular A Lister actor like him who try…
Yaaaas! I love how transparent he is about wanting to try different genre and challenge himself to it. This to me shows how much an actor want to grow as one.
