I think mdl is not updating his drama yet because the rumor about his next drama is not confirm yet. Like LYX said, no two characters are ever the same. Even if they may have similarities LYX acting range is honestly so good that I think we will be able to differentiate each of his characters (old or new). QJM character sounds interesting though. I hope we get a synopsis, the one I've read is quite confusing.

Melon about modern drama? Ooh that new news to me. Not complaining as I do hope he continues to do more modern dramas. His previous one weren't that memorable to me (beside LIS). Nonetheless, I can't wait for Love is Panacea.

I finally caved in and read the novel, the translation is not the best but you get by it. I really hope the drama would be better than the novel. Maybe it's because the novel translation wasn't the best but I feel like the novel was missing so many elements. The flow of the story was okay but I wish the characters was introduced better...? Or more perhaps. It was expected that this would be more heavy on medical research over romance. The romance is there but I keep wanting more.

I definitely am looking forward to the drama and see if they will add in the missing elements the novel was lacking.

Keep in mind, we may or may not get this in the drama. Although, i do hope they stick to novel even if it is going to be heartbreaking.

So like, does the novel have a sad ending? Because Luo Yunxi dramas have really traumatized me. He really likes dramas that are full of angst, sad and crying. I need to prepare myself if and when Immortality air. I am all for angst and sad ending, but it would be great to know in advance.

I agreed. The ending feel justified and give you a sense of closure. Sure it's not the ending everyone wanted but it also wasn't horrible. I don't see this as an OE at all just simply a sad one.

Personally with the heart guarding scale i see it more as a rememberance of TTJ. After all, TTJ was the one who response to the heart scale. It was the last thing that he left her. Some interpret it as part of his soul/spirit is left in the heart guarding scale. I would say it is up for interpretation.

This drama is fast paced and if you don't read every lines you will be lost. This is not a drama where you can fast forward and hope you won't miss anything. There has been time where I have to paused and rewind to re-read subtitles. I think you will be okay with the flow and understand once you grasped the story.

Definitely re-watching the episodes again helps.

FL is not the most likeable character, she comes off as arrogant and annoying to the max. I just didn't understand why she feel the need to conceal their marriage from family and friends/colleagues. Also, her getting "mad" that they registered their marriage just didn't make sense. However, the FL character development got better toward the middle to the end.

ML is also not so innocent either. When he literally threw his wife under the bus and kept defending the other lady doctor. The lady doctor deliberately put the blame on FL and stole her work. The ML knew how much that affected her emotionally and I can't believe he was okay with that. Sure it is easy for FL to recover over one losing their career. But daang. If my husband do me dirty like ML did, I would probably divorce his ass.

Both leads have their flaws. In fact, both of them actually have a very loving husband and wife relationship. What's a relationship without flaws and imperfection. I love how no matter what life throws at them, they work it through together and support eo.

The last few episodes, really tested their marriage. For once, I can see that FL is trying so hard for ML. FL is actually not acting rash just to get ML irritated. It hurt to see ML in pain and agony but couldn't have the courage to tell his wife the reason why. It hurt to see FL trying so hard to understand her husband sudden distant and withdraw from their marriage.

Both of their emotions and feelings during the last few episodes, were so well portrayed that you couldn't help but just root for their happiness. Also, they both have very good and natural chemistry together. I would of love to see bts with these two. It's too bad that there doesn't seem to be any.

Upset doesn't even described how I feel about the drama. The wedding they could of have, the kid that they both wanted, the future they could of have. We didn't get any of that.

The ending.... how should I put this. It's not even a bad ending, happy ending nor an opening ending. It is an incomplete ending! We can clearly see at the end that the leads are running toward eachother to reconcile. Instead of showing us a proper ending they decided to just leave it as is. Like really? In the last few episodes our lead didn't even have a moment of pure happiness together and they robbed us from a happy ending.

Although this is an older drama of Luo Yunxi, he never failed to leave an impression of each character he played. I don't know how he does it, but he is right when he said no two characters are ever the same. Luo Yunxi, is an amazing actor and he deserves so much more.

I believe nothing was ever confirm or denied. So it's really up to the individual to believe or not.

It is a scene where Tantai ML ask Tantai Jin to choose between YXW and YBC. He obviously choose YBC, but apparently have a plan to save YXW. Instead, YXW choose to jump from the tower.

In the novel, if i remember correctly, things had already build up to this point where YXW was like f it, I'm going to jump.

If there's anything to learn from this dream realm and the love between MY and SJ is that they should of communicated. I seriously cannot wait for the end of TH by the hand of SJ.
