Even with 'historical errors' and antis trying to cancel everything related to this drama mostly from those who are jealous of IU & BWS being this drama couple, it still receives loves from viewers up to today. PC would have been even bigger than now. Too bad that MBC handled the drama poorly and made it possible for crazies to attack IU and BWS. And now we cannot even get the still cuts from the last episodes 🥲

This drama deserved far better, especially considering how much IU, Byeon Wooseok, and the rest of the cast poured their hearts into bringing it to life.

The netizens should be eating the humble pie. A show that is fantasy & takes place in an alternative universe does not need to be historically accurate, it's a ridiculous postulation.
i.. don't understand the hate. i'm not usually into fluff romance, but i genuinely enjoyed this from start to finish. i think everyone involved did a great job of the acting and storytelling aspect, the characters were super lovable, and the script was fabulous. regarding the historical accuracy.. people do know this is based in a make believe alternate timeline, yes? much like the monarchy has long ended in korea, it's entirely believable that things wouldn't have stayed "joseon style" if it had endured at all. weaving different parts of the long and beautiful portions of korean history into the fabric of the story made it extra enjoyable. frankly, i think some people are just looking for things to pick at, rather than enjoying this for what it is- pure delightful entertainment. as far as i'm concerned, it may as well just be another fart in a wind. i'm just so sorry that any of the cast or crew felt the need to respond. YOU GUYS DID SO GREAT.

But recently, for the first time, none of the C-dramas I picked up were able to keep my interest, which honestly felt strange. The lead actors were both new to me, yet they delivered such wonderful performances, and their chemistry felt incredibly natural—almost as though they were real rather than simply acting. I also adored the young actor and the actress who portrayed the Queen Mother; they both stood out so beautifully in their roles.
The story itself was also wonderfully done, and honestly, I wish we had gotten more episodes because I still don’t feel ready to let it go. What I loved most was how Ian’s revolution, from beginning to end, was always centered around Hui Ju. The parallelism woven throughout the story was absolutely beautiful and made the emotional journey feel even more meaningful.
