The first 1/3 is rough to get past, but it is where we see bits of growth begin and groundwork laid. I also ended up really liking the FL after getting used to her portrayal. I am a sucker for character arcs, so I ended up loving the ML's arc. I also love alternate universe Korean monarchy dramas, so... I ended up enjoying more than I anticipated.
I just mostly skipped the villain's scenes (I also found the ML's sister a little tiresome) until he became important to the plot. His scenes are so cringey, over-the-top weird.
Most portrayals I've seen of Americans or the U.S. in Kdramas are not very flattering to the U.S. I figure the portrayal of the U.S. (government) probably deserves it (and more)? Though, to be fair, Koreans are also REALLY hard on their politicians/government, too.

You're right that she sent the address as a precaution, but the question here isn't about their intentions, but about their professional standards. Risk assessment is the first thing taught in police training. If you're going alone to a place where you're likely to be drugged, simply leaving a message isn't enough safety gear. Look at the mental instability of that man—he attacked a girl at Vicky Cafe over a minor accident (dropping an item). He's clearly a psychopath. this incident occurred near Thane. I know she went there to gather information, but if her friend had been even slightly late in arriving, that man could have done anything to her. my word "touching" didn't mean flirting; I was referring to a situation where he was behaving indecently or molesting her after drugging her."
Heart Code came out of nowhere and turned out to be such a great series. It has one of the best endings I’ve ever seen in a gl everything wraps up neatly, nothing feels forced or abrupt, and the pacing stays solid throughout the whole show.
10/10 perfect storyline, chemistry, acting, and no cringe whatsoever! Honestly, this show came out of nowhere, but in 7 episodes, it was perfectly written and closed off. Best show of 2026 so far, and def in my top 3 GLs overall!!
Honestly i had zero expectation for this series but after starting i loved it a lot plot, chemistry, acting everything felt good 10/10 for me and they slayed acting in last ep especially Vicky crying scene thanks for giving this gem ❤️❤️
