I'm sorry, that's a stupid argument. Even if she used her money or connections to become an actress, those things aren't doing the work, her talent is. She is out there doing the work, and she has constantly proven herself to be a talented actress. Plus, it's not like she became a star after one role. She has worked hard for years to get where she is right now. Our Sticky Love was her first drama in a leading role. If she had such good connections, she should have been a star from the get-go.
Darling, money and connections can't buy you talent. Also, she was never bragging about what her great-grandfather did to Koreans. She was talking about her family lineage of doctors, from her great-grandfather all the way down to her sister.

I respectfully disagree just because she rich from past relatives who have dirty pasts doesnt mean she should have to leave the acting career. I'm watching Sticky Love now and she is a great actress. I look forward to seeing her in more dramas.

I keep seeing people post about her 'generational wealth'...please provide some details on exactly how much generational wealth she has inherited...or is it merely supposition that her current family's wealth is all inherited. And even if she did benefit, how is that her fault? She did not choose to be born into this family. She certainly did not 'buy' her acting success...that has come from hard work and talent.

Also, there is a difference between a denial and a coverup. Her agency issued a denial about the initial allegations. Obviously, it was prematurely issued and wrong but it wasn't a coverup. I don't know what happened but the plausible explanation for it is either the agency had a knee-jerk reaction and issued it before checking or they did ask and Ha Young denied it because she'd never heard anything of the sort....and it is natural to not believe something of this sort concerning an ancestor when you'd only heard good things about them. Especially considering the amount of misinformation that is released daily on social media about celebrities. That something actually turns out to be true is the actual rarity.

Finally, there is a BIG difference between 'not supporting' and actively trying to destroy someone's career.

I don't know what her grandfather did. I'm not disregarding a nation's past trauma. Imposing someone's crime to his lineage is injustice. Reality show writers should be sensible enough to know what to ask and not to. She is getting recognition after years of supporting roles. We don't know korean history but k-netz know it. They are notorious for cancelling artist for ridiculous reasons. Maybe the reality show team purposefully put her on the spot to get viewership. I hope people be kind and let her do her work.
