Given what I've seen in the Japanese precursor, Kim Ji Won is perfect for this role. But then, she's been perfect…
Cant wait to see her 'take' on Doctor X! Kinda nervous as well cause Yonekura Ryoko's Doctor X was unique and was HER Doctor X. She can still own her version of Doctor X without trying to recreate Daimon. Hopefully thats what they are going for!
3 episodes in this needs way more Jounouchi, she's so cute!!! Ebina's performance in episode 4 was so good, I'm blown away. And the last episode is pefect, that's a very nice conclusion of the series.
With the novelty worn off, the second season was more of the same but with Daimon sensei performing uncommon operations not seen in Japan. Other ambitious surgeons in the department used her skills to claim credit in order to gain their promotion. Plagiarism, favourtism, corruptions and lies were flowing throughout. If one wants to settle down for a relaxing evening after a day's work, this is the ticket. Like a good restaurant, once they have found a winning recipe, there is no need to change the formula. The inclusion of Jonouchi in Daimon's life added a partner with the necessary humour to dilute some the gritty backstabbing seen at the hospital. Even all seniors paid lip service to possible rewards for their juniors, at the end of the day, the seniors had only their self interest.
This season was slightly better than the previous one because even though it had a similar formula, it was more focused on the characters and had some quite intriguing medical cases.
The annoyance continues from season 1. This show must have decided to save money by skipping the consulting medical oncologist. The notion that some of these patients are not inoperable is pure fantasy for the sake of drama. I hope no cancer patient lets this TV show influence their expectations or medical decisions.
The irony also continues unabated. Doctor X is still challenging a rotten establishment of doctors with a god complex by presenting a god complex to end all god complexes. She makes Gregory House look as humble as a Franciscan nun.
Looking forward to this as Iam currently binging the japanese Doctor X series (all 7 seasons) on Netflix. It's kinda over the top acting and some of the side characters are rather annoying but its weirdly addictive. Also, not much interesting to watch in K drama or C drama land.
Lmao. Instead of talking to Chan about her problems or even borrow the money from her, she'll rather leave Chan just like that to marry Derek? Lol
Then she used Derek for his money and after getting what she wanted, she returned to Chan.... the audacity! So, Derek is not a human with feelings? Is Chan not a human with feelings? You leave when you like and return when you like and you expect them to just get over all the pain you caused them. Lol. These ex-gfs and ex-bfs plots will never cease to annoy me.
It's like Bambi all over again. They ragebait me and I fall for it.
Honestly, such a good episode. ❤️ Jay’s decision was really the worst choice of the two. She wanted to protect Jan, but in the end, she only condemned both of them to suffer. Jan suffered because she was abandoned without any explanation, and Jay suffered too. She really should have trusted Jan and talked to her.
And the ending, with Jan finally realizing her true feelings for Key, was so beautiful. 🥹❤️ Such a great episode. I can’t wait to see what happens next!
okay her mom seems to have ppd and key developed ptsd and anxiety overtime and chan have trust issues and Jay had two choice and neither were right , worst case scenario come out from her decisions honestly everyone needs therapy in this show, god knows what chan's mom is like but I'm still loving and this was the best episode so much information in one episode and in the end chan saying I love you, key when 5 minutes earlier she told Jay she stopped believing in love, girl please
I seriously don't get some of y'all mindset in the comments. Like, are we watching the same thing? Let's talk about the moment with Key and her mom, okay? Her mom obviously is having some sort of breakdown, and she's not mentally okay right now, and Key, as I think any child would if they see their parent suffering and not okay, is trying to get her mom to eat something. She's not forcing her to eat she's simply asking her to eat because, you know, that's her mother.
Are seriously acting like you wouldn't be doing the same if that was your mom. And she is a Child!!! At this point, y'all know that, right?
Do I think she should have stopped after her mom started getting violent? Yes, but am I blaming a child for wanting her mom to eat when she hasn't all day? Nooo. And yeah, you can't force a grown woman to do something, but as I said, it's her mom, not some rando.
