I'm glad we finally got the answer as to why Jay disappeared but the reason made no sense at all. If you have to decide between ghosting your supposed love of your life or simply talking to her and trying to find a solution together you go for option one?? Chan's confession came out of nowhere and way to early for me too. In the same ep she emphasised the sugar baby relation ship several times and 5 secs before talking to Key she told Jay she didn't believe in love anymore... Obvi there were signs she was also just putting on a mask and cared more about Key than she wanted to admit, but suddenly it's love? I think It's good that the triangle is over now but I was hoping Key and Chan becoming actual girlfriends would be more of a central story/conflict. I hope it won't end in 5 eps of pure family drama... I had high hopes for this and liked the first few eps but it's become rather disappointing unfortunately.
Pam realizing she has fallen for Dokrak and them kissing at the end of Ep 3 felt ten times more impactful than whatever confession Chan made at the end of Ep 5. Jay's backstory really felt weak , she seems so sorted and for her to not communicate with Chan at that time is just an excuse for seperating them.
I've always found it hilarious that JiangLi's family members keep thinking FL's totally changed from 10 years ago, as if you would recognise someone who you've sent away as a child to an asylum and as if their character wouldn't change being imprisoned there for a decade ..

I am used to the actors being older that their characters, but I feel like rarely it is this glaringly obvious. The character in some drama might supposed to be 15-16 but in my head it is easy to just think they are in their early twenties and the story still works. But there is just no way for me to believe the FL is anything but over 30 so it is hard to get into the story.
I am trying to watch this because the reviews are so good but how did people get over the actress age? It's taking me out so badly that she is supposed to be a teenager but the actress is very obviously over 30. Will there be some sort of a time skip or something?
I am a big fan of Joy of Life. But they should not be compared because JoL is 10% romance, 90% political intrigue. PoJ on the other hand is 90% romance, 10% political intrigue. JoL is one of my absolute favorite male-centric drama, and PoJ is my absolute favorite historical romance.
