Started the 1st epi and I have to say that these GL actresses are quite good. I don't think if I've ever come across one who was uncomfortable with the scenes or depended only on her looks instead of acting talent.
i think this is so far the most matured, realistic and complex gl. i couldn't take side any of them. Air, Pure, Loft and even Lamp were all hurt. Choosing any of them seemingly to be wrong. i want Pure to be w Air but it would be unfair for Lamp, if she's w Loft then it's unfair for Air.
I really need to compliment whoever wrote this story. the script and plot were superb. though i'm not a fan of love triangle, the emotional engagement is there. it make me hard to choose
the only think i dislike is the acting skill of Pure n Loft. mybe they should hv chosen better actresses. but Air was really good. and mybe it's because of love triangle , i don't see strong chemistry between Pure n Loft. if they can act better, mybe more ppl will watch

I don’t think following Gal Gadot or liking some posts necessarily means Shelly supports Zionist ideology. People follow others on social media for many reasons, and it doesn’t always reflect agreement with everything they stand for. It also doesn’t mean she supports the violence or hate happening in the world. In the end, it’s your choice whether you want to watch the series or not, but I feel she hasn’t done anything wrong, and it seems unfair to judge someone based on their ethnicity. So far, she’s shown herself to be a genuinely lovely person and, on top of that, a really talented actress, which is why I honestly recommend giving the series a chance ☺️

I also read the book and loved it, and I loved the movie adaptation, to ok. timeless story about an ancient culture and how some of those toxic things seep into later generational relationships. Breaking cycles is harder for some cultures than others. But what I love are women's stories and their friendships. That is a timeless treasure that endures in spite of all the odds!

People seems to see this movie as an "pretty okay" movie so I'm scared they didn't honored the masterpiece...I have to see it though ^^
I read the book a few years ago and loved it. The movie did NOT disappoint me. while the book is more detailed and very grim in some parts, the movie is more sensitive, focusing on the beautiful nature of women's friendships and sisterhood. I was so impressed with the 2 female leads' ability to tackle English and other languages demands and not seem stilted. I had to give it 10 stars because the story is powerful and they portrayed it beautifully. Kudos to the actresses and the directors. I wouldn't give it a G rating tho. There is one short bedroom scene that I wouldn't want to have to explain to my 9 year old granddaughter, but as an adult I realized it was probably included to show the complications of navigating a toxic culture while being able to also love someone. Powerful and touching movie.
