I was really enjoying this drama, it was so thought out and the acting is good, but wth is ep 34 onwards?? I have two episodes left and I'm wondering where all the plot went just for a cheap bad guy execution, self sacrifice angst, and a ml that keeps specifically doing what Banxia asked him NOT to do. It's a bit anti-climactic to say the least :')

I know this may come as a surprise to you, but I like the country I live in despite all its faults and I don't really want it to be ruined and bled dry for oligarchs. Plus, you know basic humanity and caring for others. I know that's, pun intended, foreign to you but the world continues to turn and good always prevails. This too shall pass.

Yeah it's my religion sweetie. Using the Lord's name in vain is when it's used to commit horrible acts in his name...kinda like the current president is doing. And "You're a mess" is a fact.

You're a one man/woman show talking about breaking the US the fix it which is ridiculous. These are peoples lives, including the measles outbreak. If it was as easy as Vitamin A, kids wouldn't be dying. In fact, children are being brought into hospitals because they're being given TOO MUCH vitamins which can absolutely wreck the liver. The vitamin can help replace a deficiency and may help mitigate effects, but it's not a cure and it's certainly not a vaccination.

On trade wars, sure they've happened for a long time but not to this extent. It's already being observed that the number of freights importing goods has dropped drastically . Experts are predicting about three months tops before we start running out of things. This will affect the poor and minority's in particular. Leaders of other countries are also not going to negotiate with a man who's been completely disrespectful and shown obvious signs of wanting to be a dictator. Not only this but the tariff's and blatant overreach into other countries has all but eliminated all of our allies so if anyone wanted to, they could just come right in and destabilize our already precarious structure.

So, yeah, these trade wars are just the tip of the ice burg. We import so much of our economy and other countries don't have to trade with us at all. They can trade with each other and cut us out entirely. It's already happening.

Oh Jesus Christ, you are a mess. All of this is not based on facts and also just because one bad person exists doesn't make it okay to upgrade to another. Good luck with that though.

America currently is represented by a rxpist, a measles outbreak, and a trade war. But go off I guess 😂

Just finished and this drama reached into my chest and scooped my heart out. 10/10. Now to go drink water to replace all the tears I shed.

I haven't read the novel tbh. The live action has some amazing elements, especially ones I hadn't seen before, but I think it's a personal thing for me not to like characters that exist for no other reason then to appear once and a while as a crux without SEEING the actual crux. I'm a show not tell kind of gal which definitely affected my watching experience.

The things I did love was the evolution of Yuan Zhong and the steadiness of Tan Yin. Their dynamic is great. The weapon spirits were delightful and there were so many mystical elements that were enjoyable as well.

Oh that is terribly disappointing. I'm all for some plot propellers but nearly everything and everyone other than the two MC's, the weapon spirits, and Qian Lin (I'm on the fence about him, cause I adore him but I haven't found out his purpose yet) were that. There were definitely some shining bright moments and I loved the humor and angst, but alas, I'm not sure this hit the way I was hoping for.

I meant in how empty it was and how these fights take place but no one seems to see it. I understood how it contributed to the story but like some of the other side stories, it felt like the bone of something great but without all the meat that would have made it a full meal.

I'm nine episodes from finishing and I agree with all of this. The side plots felt very bland and like they were lacking spark. I also felt like the heavenly scenes were a bit bare too.

I think I've watched about 3/4 of the list, but I'll check the rest the rest. Thank you!

I wouldn't say I've watched a ton, but I tend to lean towards xianxia and wuxia dramas within the last probably five years.

I felt the same unfortunately. I was thoroughly enjoying it up to a certain point which I think is why I was so let down by the lack of pull through. The ride was fun but not going on a rewatch list 🥲

The bit where they went into the portal and met wife's malicious energy soul (Like, NOTHING, was done with the portal? Am I tripping?) and Yishui getting amnesia all seemed to be mostly useless to the plot tbh. There were a lot of filler scenes too. It felt like all the good plotlines got paused and then in the last five/six episodes is when they started coming back with the shadow people, etc. The beginning and ending were fantastic though.

Ah, thanks! I thought it might be but I was a bit confused with the above person mentioning the BL fanbase since that drama doesn't have BL.

I wanted to like this more than I did, but the episodes in the middle felt repetitive and just seemed to drag it on a bit. A shame because I absolutely loved the beginning and end, and there were some really interesting plotlines. Felt some characters were also not done justice. Still a decent watch and the main couple is absolutely adorable. Their dynamic is perfect.
