NEVER HAVE I SEEN SUCH MATURE LEADS IN A CDRAMA.
If you're an avid CDrama fan, whether historical or modern, there's one concept we can't seem to run away from.
Trashy second leads, and a bitch squad with a vendetta. The girl who wants the man and doesn't take no for an answer, or the pining man who wants the girl and sometimes literally fights or throws a gargantuan tantrum when he doesn't get what he wants.
WELL, WORRY NO MORE.
Ski into Love is such a well-paced drama, that I hardly forwarded any scenes. The leads get together at appropriate times, without dragging and pining. Jiang Yiming is a sweetheart, and I honestly cried with him, when he came to terms with Zhi's relationship with her master.
In some cases, he'd have demanded Shan Chong leave Zhi so he could help Shan Shan, but he didn't. He went out of his way to offer his services, even offering friendship and more, despite the fact that he lost the girl. This honestly makes him one of my favourite characters.
The rest of the squad is just vibes on vibes, there are no underhanded attacks or prevalent bitchiness, and that is such a nice change.
The parents are relatable. Their views, struggles, and lives are understandable, and it's hard to hate any of them, even Zhi's mom.
I only have a small issue with Zhi's bestie, cause I don't understand why she turned aloof and bitchy on her trainer, I didn't get what went on, that she blocked him, then came back and acted as if nothing had happened before. I get the guy for going off.
I'm yet to finish the drama but, I'm sure I WON'T DROP IT BEFORE THE END.
If you are looking for a sign to watch this drama, here you go, WATCH IT!!!! IT'S WORTH IT!
THE PERFECT MIX OF LIFE ISSUES, ROMANCE AND MORE!
