Ep. 8 was really good! The scenes where the main leads are slowly falling for each other made me smile and swoon a lot, especially that one phone call... 🥰 The only thing is that I personally think the supporting characters are weak in this show. I'm especially bothered by Mr. Ko the all-knowing cat man who serves as an artificial tool to move the plot forward. That's a very cheap way to do it imo.

I actually loved the first two episodes a lot, it saddens me that the quality progressively decreased as the show went on...

I was so distracted by how good-looking he was in some scenes. I don't know what it is but he was especially hot in this episode, good lord. 🥵

I mean I'm not sure we'll get one because kdramas don't usually do bed scenes but I certainly wouldn't say no to one haha 😂 (especially if it's introduced well)

I wouldn't want that to happen with the rest of the episodes because we have to wrap up the sister and mother plot in a satisfying way, but ngl if they were to make 16 bonus episodes of full fluff I would absolutely watch them too.

Right, but it's still a marker of bad writing that we have to suspend our disbelief in order to be able to enjoy this show (which I personally can't do)... I don't know how it was in the webtoon but if it was the same thing the story shouldn't have been written this way in the first place (and even if it wasn't, when you're trying to adapt something into another format you also have to make sure it can translate well, or you don't adapt it).

I understand but it's hard to feel immersed and to take the story seriously when there are incongruencies as big as this one. This is what jeopardizes the quality of the story-telling for me right now... Surely there had to be a better way to write this in the first place. 😕

There are quite a few things that I don't think are done well with this show (though don't let that affect you if you're enjoying it, more power to you) but if someone has an answer can you please tell me how it makes sense that the people in the 1st life have the same faces as the ones in the 19th when we know the main character reincarnated into different people each time?? Am I missing something?

Absolutely. It only seems cliché because the story isn't original, but they have such a fresh take on it that it doesn't feel like that at all.

Haha I actually liked that tweet, so true. I understand the concern about the lack of plot and I'm hoping we'll see more of the plot with the sister and mother from now since it's something they've introduced, but tbh I'm also so glad the writers of this show have dedicated so much time to the development of the leads' relationship. A lot of supposedly romantic dramas these days rely on a plot point to make us feel like the main leads are connected and have a profound relationship and completely forgo developing the relationship itself, which often makes their connection feel unbelievable. That's lazy writing imo, but this show is willing to develop it and I couldn't be happier.

Nothing truly original about this show but they do everything so well it's addicting. They have mastered the rom-com genre imo.

I didn't mind it during the first half of show but now I wish we would see him work more too, especially since he said he wants to be in charge of the hotel and has to prove himself.
