the only thing this drama served was moon baek's visuals and a half-baked (quarter-baked?) plot masquerading as a promising social commentary on widespread access to guns in a country.

Just finished the first episode - it has me hooked, which I haven't felt this way for other recent historical cdramas.

FL is logical and calculating, ML, although carries immense emotional baggage from the slaughter of his family, still listens to reason and isn't completely blinded by revenge.

Came to MDL expecting good ratings for this drama, and alas :) 8.6, not surprised at all. Hopefully the drama keeps up with this momentum, with no huge logical flaws or useless draggy plot points.

OR I could just rewatch FoF LOL. I am not someone who rewatches shows so I think this really shows my appreciation for this beautiful drama. (But I am just not ready to go through alladat pain again TT)

I tried to watch another drama with high ratings but I could never get into it after 6 episodes... lol I think I'm still suffering from withdrawal, and I can't help but compare FoF to the new one I am trying to watch, which just makes it harder for me to appreciate the new one with a fresh blank state... (And this isn't really fair to the new drama I'm watching tbh)

I think I'll have to watch variety shows or anime for now because the withdrawal this time seems really serious oh my god.

Perhaps I'll watch Divas Hit the Road S6 and watch our Tian Jiarui and Neo Hou in there :] I encourage everyone to watch that too! I've seen some snippets of it and it looks like a really chill and funny show of a bunch of friends/siblings travelling.

Just finished the drama and I have heavy withdrawal now, if anyone has a full playlist (YT, tiktok, etc) of all their behind the scenes compiled (doesnt need eng subs) I will be deeply grateful T_T I watched the ones posted by the official IQIYI channel on YT but I have a feeling that is not all there is to it....

This is based off a novel right? Is the novel/translation complete? Anyone knows where to read it? I heard the ML was a lot more unhinged in the novel but they had to tone that down in the drama so I was kinda curious how unhinged he would get.
