I feel like a lot of the mid-to-bad score ratings on here is because people watched the first 6 episodes with the mindset that it is a standalone in itself, and not simply just 6 episodes out of 12 whole episodes. I think that really makes a difference. If it were shown properly as a 12-episode drama, with no pauses in between, people might be more inclined to say that the first half was slow-paced, but picks up in the latter half (just for example) and give an overall better rating.

Eitherways, I did enjoy the show for what its worth. I havent been able to be immersed in a drama for a while now but this one did the trick. I do hope that part 2 will be better and not be rushed, considering how there are only 6 episodes left and the FL has yet to awaken.

Also, I did get reminded of Bulgassal while watching this, but of course they are vastly different. But it just also reminded me of what Bulgassal could have been but did not achieve...

I think its because SS's mother first and foremost wants her to love the person she is going to marry. But she knows that SS does not have any feelings for him. This, and the fact that he comes with some family baggage makes it all the more a reason for her to object to the proposal.

Haha I understand Chinese! That is indeed a very meaningful and precious vow. The vow is great, but the sudden proposal out of no where, in that context, just made things pressuring for NN and her family imho. If he said that in other contexts, like its just them talking their feelings out, I would have definitely melted like craaaazzzyyy

Well, turns out everything was just an imagination VR game of the FL. FL and ML later meet again but as pure acquaintances, whatever romance and soul-swapping never happened between them.

It started out really funny, for the first 10 episodes or so, the pacing is like a light slice of life high school romcom, so nothing super dramatic or intense happens. After that it started to feel draggy. Episodes 15-16 kind of ruined it for me, because things took a drastic turn and became very melodramatic and angst-y. I don't know what happens afterwards, but I watched a part of the last episode and boy... all I'm gonna say is that I'm glad I dropped it.

Let's just say... if you are willing to watch a full drama, then have the last episode totally change your perspective on whatever you have just watched then... go for it. If you prefer to have a coherent, conclusive and smooth ending, then drop the drama and read my spoiler below.

This is an interesting take too! He may have been planning to enlist the help of the king, but he may have pushed for the proposal much earlier than planned because of those other bullying noble ladies.

Absolutely! I just hope such schemes by LBY to get what he wants changes, like character development. I still like him best for NN though :)
