The male lead is having more dramas coming up where he is the lead and as for the female lead, there is one more…
I see thats great for both of them! I'm in the mood for more action heavy stuff right now so ill keep love is sweet aside until i feel like watching romcom again. Thanks!
This drama was beyond my expectations. Probably because i went in with low expectations since the plot wasnt new. And i had tried Love is Sweet prior, which has similar 8+ rating as this drama but I dropped it around episode 8-9 because the chemistry was not there plus it was boring for me. So i kinda compared the 2 together and wondered how good could this one be.
However i was pleasantly surprised by the amazing chemistry between the leads + their healthy relationship and character development. I really like that the ML respects the FL's decisions instead of forcing his requests on her. It was really cute watching ML fall in love with her and then watch him fumble to understand how the subjective and un-calculable relationship world works that is very different from his familiar stats and numbers. I also really liked that there was good communication between the leads and no unnecessary dramatic misunderstanding was dragged out and blown out of proportion. I also really enjoyed the comedic aspects, beginning from ep 1/2 where the ML was talking to the movie theatre staff. I know Chinese so the puns used in their bickering was funny lololol thats how i knew i was in for a good ride.
Also i have a question: does anyone know how well this faired in China? Did it gain lots of traction? Im curious because im hoping this drama becomes the stepping stone for the ML actor to get more main roles since hes usually the supporting character + hoping for the freshface FL actor to land more roles in future since she has potential!
I personally did not mind it and even liked that it didn't have it because they managed to be convincing with…
Lololol im not one to recognise such stuff so the very fact i did.. is telling xD. I think ive watched mask before! Sadly its been too long and my poor memory no longer recalls much of it. I do have the impression of junghoon pulling off the bad guy role very well though. He really is a great actor! :)
I personally did not mind it and even liked that it didn't have it because they managed to be convincing with…
Yes!! Both really good actors!! i'd love to see them in different ML character roles that wouldnt have them whispering all the time XD im not a fan of angst dramas but honestly glad i gave this a try bec of yeon junghoon. Im a fan of 2d1n s4, a variety show hes in. :)
The ex-mother-in-law didn't do it bc FL lied, she just says that to put all the blame on FL, like she always does.…
Fellow hobi stan :) ahh.. thank you for the explanation... i guess my brain wasnt working while watching this ?? so i presume thats why she killed the legitimate son too? And also to protect the company and its image since he will do a poor job at handling it?
I personally did not mind it and even liked that it didn't have it because they managed to be convincing with…
Yes exactly! Their actions show their feelings for each other! Its been a while since ive watched a makjang, so this one feels "new" yet "old" at the same time.. probably because of the predictability of certain aspects like WJ becoming ill and ES was going to "help" her in some way. And yes if they found out about ES after the marriage the angst would be off the roofs! But honestly im happier they didnt do it this way, i really wouldnt be able to bear seeing JM so hurt :( hes such a nice father and lover... and yes, 2ML especially was so heartwarming ❤ the character development from only caring about what he wants to truly caring for what ES wants
I dont get why people are so caught up at the lack of skinship between the leads...? I thought it was predictable that this wasnt going to have any kiss scenes. Also, i dont think skinship is the only indicator of love, so does it really matter if they dont kiss at all??? To me the chemistry was great and you could see their genuine love for each other. Towards the end it got predictable that ES wouldnt die so i wasnt crying at that part. I really cried when WJ called ES "mum" though.. whew. And the baddies backstory and motive revelation was kinda weak... like really? All because ES lied about her pregnancy and KHR goes on a whack ass rampage of hatred that seemed SO personal??? Hmmm.. well eitherway, i enjoyed this drama for what its worth. I can also see why it broke channel A's ratings record :))
it baffled me how can anyone love runyu character. he is a baaad baad person, despicable, manipulative, obsessed…
Well, to each their own. To me, Runyu was a pained and complex character. I do not condone every action of his either but at the same time i sympathise with him
I gave this drama a 8/10 because of the character growth of the trio (especially Sang Tae aw) and the warm and fuzzy ending . I would have rated it higher if not for the massive plot hole near the end plus many missed opportunities to further flesh out the side characters (be it why they act the way they do or closure to their relationships with each other). Overall one of the better kdramas this year though.
I was reading some of the comments before watching this and so many people were commenting about episode 24...…
*SPOILER FOR EP29*
Also anyone bugged by the fact that Min Chu never really apologised to Xi Shui for choosing to save his sister (aka choosing for Xi Shui to die)? All he said to her in episode 29 was "you must blame me right?" "i never intended to live on without you trust me". Another thing that bothers me is that the first few things he says upon seeing her is "why didn't you come find me when you've recovered?" UH. Sir, YOU chose for her to DIE. You still expect her to come back to you like nothing happened? It doesnt matter if you wanted to die with her, it doesnt change the fact that you chose for her death. So, pretty selfish imo.
As for Xi Shui... I felt that she forgave him really easily. Tbh, I cannot fathom the love of my life choosing someone over me. I would be caught in a semi-dilemma between wanting to forgive (because it was his sister) vs being heartbroken and hurt. So it felt a tad odd and rather one-dimensional that Xi Shui forgave him so easily (especially when he never apologised or tried explaining in DETAIL what happened). Well, the lack of apology/desperation to explain from Min Chu and lack of conflicting emotions from Xi Shui could have been poor writing, and I really hope so because otherwise, I'd have to view these two more differently.
I was reading some of the comments before watching this and so many people were commenting about episode 24... I wondered what was up with that episode but soon forgot about it when I started watching. Then so much SHIT happened within an episode and I was on a rollercoaster of emotions and then I suddenly remembered the commotion about episode 24. Lo and behold I checked which episode I was watching and it WAS ep 24!!! TT So angry and heartbroken omg
I love love love and love runyu... And it is because I love him too damn much as a character that I can never…
Yes, usually a drama of more than 30 episodes, especially modern day dramas are a huge red flag for me. Period dramas at this length can still be acceptable since they are usually plot heavy. Those 3 dramas you mentioned are pretty good! The most recent cdrama that shines for me is Joy of Life :) I highly recommend this since you want a blockbuster plot. The acting is great, it has a mysterious plot that makes you crave for more and interesting side characters (even the ones that appear for less than ten episodes). Not to mention its really funny! And I couldnt agree more for the OSTs lol, its gotten to a point where I prefer the OST at 1.5x speed!
I love love love and love runyu... And it is because I love him too damn much as a character that I can never…
Omg you do it too hahaha! 1.5x has saved so much of my time lol. And yes increasing the speed can really destroy the watching experience, imagine watching a character cry at 1.5x speed... that empathetic connection is immediately lost..
I usually skip scenes with side characters that I know will have absolutely Z E R O relation to the main plot/characters. Cdramas really love doing that TT I've learnt that cdramas make money by selling each episode, so I get why they have so many side stories. But the problem is that they push these side characters in our faces and expect us to watch them when the characters can be so uninteresting!
So.... a way I gauge how good a cdrama is now, is whether its side stories are interesting enough for me to watch lol and very VERY few cdramas have achieved this.

Seems like Broker is your next best bet. :D as for "And the Winner is Love" i'd say if you watch it be prepared you have to go through plot holes and slow pacing dialogues. I had to skip or put it on 1.5x speed a lot
I love love love and love runyu... And it is because I love him too damn much as a character that I can never…
A fellow friend who's also heartbroken for Runyu :( That being said Luo Yunxi is such an amazing actor! I really hope he gets better main roles soon! Watched him in 'And the Winner is Love' but that drama was kinda meh TT
I don't watch that many k variety shows, but like many others, my first one was Running Man. Unfortunately, I slowly lost interest in it as it started to change in ways which were not really my cup of tea (not saying it became bad/boring/etc but just different from what I like). That was when I found 1N2D season 3 and I fell in love (also felt devastated and angered with everything that happened).
Still, I liked 1N2D for what it was, and hoped new cast members would save the show. And for me, they did! S3 and S4 feel different, but I love them all the same. The casts in S3 this time are all so wholesome :). I'm sad 1N2D isn't more popular internationally, but I'm glad it's at least one of the top shows in S.K itself.
1. Sleepless princess
2. Perfect and casual
3. My roommate is a detective
4. Love in between
5. Romance of tiger and rose
