I am glad we can respect each other with this. And while I do understand him breaking the "trust" they had with the og marriage are we just forgetting how much she has taken advantage of his memory loss? She knew everything about him, who he was, how he operates, and why he was there. She also knew he got his memories back. So when he takes the logical choice of saving his friend and continuing the case he is 100% wrong and needs to work and beg for that trust back? And when I say logical choice I mean she would have done the exact same thing and she is literally worse in terms of lies and deception so it just feels like a double standard. My issues with her stem from her own hypocrisy is, she constantly says he is cunning and unpredictable that is why she doesn't want him around her, and in my first comment that shows she wants to be 100% in control which i find to be toxic. In the end we won't ever agree cause I find her personality to be insufferable (man or woman), i have issues with unchanging people who can't open up for the life of them. I feel like her earlier antics with memory lose him let me believe she could be that person I thought that could let others in, but in these last span of episodes she is back to who she originally was. Which, I understand now this is who she is fully. Again no disrespect my orginal comment was to show she can be frustrating to watch.

You have certain points i can agree with, but it all comes down to do you care about her character developing at all? Cause she is still the same stoic manipulator from ep1 and still only let's her guard down for her family. She still has no trust for the ML and only let's him follow her coat tails. For it to be ep 30 of 36 and she still doesn't even trust the ML to let him in on one of her plans shows she hasn't developed and only wants to be in complete control of every factor. She sees LJL as a outer factor that she can't 100% control so she leaves him out and gives him very little respect in terms of their relationship. Also to say he benefits everytime is not really the truth, she is the one that benefits and he just along for the ride. The governor was his biggest threat but his only factor is beating him was bringing the Wei granny, thats it. Other then that RBS was in complete control moving all her pcs to her advantage including LJL.
This drama was advertised as 2 cunning scheming characters that use each other to their advantage through the story, however the show is nearly over and LJL has been a non factor in her plans and just along the ride that is why people are frustrated 1st.

So you are just gonna ignore her clearly keeping him in the dark on both of her last 2 plans to expose people? For what reason at this point in the drama would she keep him in the dark on these things? We are 30 episodes in like her character has zero development at this point with him and LJL has been relegated to a side piece? Yes all her plans work and she did things for a reason. Well then explain her reason for not telling him anything other then she doesn't trust him.

I 100% agree on the RSB anime protag stuff, she is way to perfect and all her plans work out in the end no matter how convoluted they get. Every single person she manipulates goes her way and it just gets boring that every conclusion to a arc is RSB knew everything and was in control the entire time while LJL is just sitting around looking confused cause nobody let him in on the plan.

I just feel sad for LJL now, he is treated like crap everywhere he goes and basically has to beg dearly to be treated how he should.

I thought once we get to the capital it would be LJL's time but nope, more Rong family stuff to focus on for the last episodes.

Who said I like when a guy ignores the girl. Don't assume stuff for me, I like equal relationships that show our 2 powerful main leads working off each other to their goals. They can be cold all they want but this is just that, RSB truly treats LJL as nothing at times and in my opinion that sucks.

Im begging the writers to let LJL be cold and ignore RSB for one dam episode. She needs a taste of her own medicine for this relationship to have any chance imo

That just isn't true, she clearly was waiting for her servant to stop the wedding with the Yan family servant, not LJL to crash it.

RSB said all men in Rong family need to be doormats, so he will continue to be a doormat for her lol

ik she always has some plan, but it could easily be executed without almost marrying another man against her will. It's just for drama and angst.

The annoying part is if this guy was actually the real Yan Bai Lou she would just willingly marry him ig. Only way in the world to not marry this guy and go against her stupid grandmother is if wasnt even Yan Bai Lou to begin with. She just can't say no to this annoying request. (ik she just got in good graces with GMa again but this will just bring the Rong family back to its rotten roots if they continue to entertain every word she says or orders).

Pretty funny to say, that she didnt murder him, is showing her care for him. The bar is in hell. Jokes aside I i somewhat agree with you both, but I will never like that since 1 side is cold, and uncaring must make the other obsessed and downbad. That dynamic has just never been my cup of tea and they are going with that fully rn.

I have enjoyed this drama very much, but up to ep 26 they have mismanaged the writing of the romance so badly. Was it so hard to have both leads after memory returns be cold and scheming and both showing little by little that they developed genuine feelings for the other. Now it has been RSB cold and calculating showing 0 interest in LJL. While LJL is obsessed with RSB and will give up everything for RSB.
The drama is great dont get my wrong, just the romance is poor and just not entertaining unless your just thirsty for thirsty LJL

Agreed, all we have gotten from RSB as of late is just a few somewhat half smiles at LJL. The romance is being carried by LJL and RSB is barely changing cause her focus is all on the Rong family issues (understandable) just wish we saw more glimpses from her.

Just seems like alot of cdramas now have this huge one sided romance and its usually the ML sadly

So looks like RSB gonna be cringe and (almost)marry Yan as a thank you for "saving" her, also cause she thinks LJL has a better future then her annoying family.
