Classic boring history repeats itself until a character turns their brain on last second and changes the fate. Ima just wait till remaining ep drop cause current plot is just exhausting to sit through.

They are both frustrating with their actions at times which makes them not boring or poorly written characters, but i tend to lean more to siding with the ML as his goals dont only belong to himself. FL however like you said won't leave her comfort zone and if she does she makes her way back to it soon enough. The ML is the only thing she is willing to give up in the end cause she has been taught and basically brainwashed that it won't end well.

Wonderful description of their current relationship and what drives their motives. Change may not be what ZhaoZhao desires but MuMu involvement keeps pushing her to question and resist the status quo she so desperately desires. The status quo that the corrupt generation before has built through schemes and Betrayal.

Yea Yea Yea, MuMu manipulating ZhaoZhao he is toxic blah blah, are we just forgetting the status quo that ZhaoZhao wants to keep with her friends and family is crumbling as we speak? The man in black won't just disappear once ZhaoZhao and MuMu break up? Also the status quo she wants to perpetuate with her righteous sect is to discriminate against the "evil demon" Li Sect. The world needs changing whether that happens cause MuMu obsessed personality won't leave ZhaoZhao alone it seems like a necessary step for the development of their characters and the world itself.

Sure, but if she continued to just listen to the drivel the older generation spouts about the evil humans called demons then she would just continue to live immature and naive as she has her whole life. She needs to learn the whole world can't be confined to her sect being good and Li Sect being the bad guys that her master constantly tries to indoctrine into her. Her travels with MuMu have allowed her to see the world as it is also learning the real truth of her aunt she loved so dearly and if that burns bridges then so be it.

People were so obsessed with the "you just want her to throw herself onto him" NO we want mutual affection without constant wavering and doubting if she likes one guy more then the other. That just makes the romance superficial and cheap now that she has decided to pick one after many episodes of wavering.

Took another full episode with sunbae being her potential boyfriend and ML "leaving" for good for her to decide she actually likes the ML. What great writing to have this happen with only 2 episodes left. (sarcasm ofc)

The reveal to the face behind the balloons and the romantic ost playing, you would think the directors forgot who the male lead and second male lead are.

Ok the engagement and Zhaozhao relationship with MuMu can be separate points and dont have to be involved she can break this loveless engagement anytime she wanted, BUT she is being immature and using it as an excuse yes excuse to reject MuMu advances and if you can't see that then I can't help you. She is trapping herself and the other guy for her own selfish reasons (afraid of the consequences her relationship with MuMu will cause yes, still doesn't make it not immature). Thats why her character needs to develop and thats what I expect to see past this boring engagement excuse she will drag for like the next 2 episodes while still flirting with MuMu.

And do you think if she went to her parents and said "I dont love him, he loves someone else, I wanna break the enagement" (DOESNT even have to mention MuMu) that her parents wouldn't support her and end the engagement aswell?

That is really just all excuses to her though, if she wanted to end the marriage what could really stop her. Right now she just wants to use every excuse possible to put a wall between her and Mu.
