You might be right since they could have shown him taking a step in the right direction using the teacher.

I didn't have a problem with the episode (though I agree him doing that was not cool), but I dont put too much weight on individual episodes on the first watch since it is possible I could have missed something that was meant to be only hinted at in the beginning and revealed later.

I enjoyed it. Probably not my favorite episode though.

It's the style. Comedic ones based off mangas made for teens are more like this, Cherry Magic and so on. The ones with more of a calm realistic vibe are based off mangas made for women. They are likely to have darker/deeper themes at times.

It helps show his characters big flaw. Sure, it wasn't right to keep dating her even though it was a random suggestion at the start...but his character didn't mean to be slimy. His choices there show his bad side. The part he needs to fix. Telling her the truth before she left was an important step for him.

Yeah, but in this case the older one is constantly pushing the young one away and denying his feelings. He is not okay with the age difference. Still, feelings come without your consent. It's what you do with them that matters most. Personally.

Regardless, if it makes you uncomfortable and you think you'd feel better skipping this one thats totally fine.

One big step in the right direction.

I just started this and it reminds of Cross Fire. Loved that one. They aren't the same exactly. Both dealing with esports, but the other is more gritty and less romantic. The reason it reminds me of it is because I feel like the earlier part of CF was what set off this stories scenario (gaming history wise) and the latter part of CF is more set in the current shows time. haha So it's more like I feel they go together in a way. If that makes sense.

Have you seen a lot of sad ending Japanese ones? Cause I haven't. Only some.

I don't look at him as the villain, but he does have a bit of a selfish manipulative personality. I noticed it on first watch and was more 'okay' with him watching again. Personally, i'd keep my distance from him in real life. My friends mom is manipulative at times, but I don't believe she realizes that completely--or at all. She is generally a good person. It's not the obvious definite horrible manipulative person type. I feel Wai falls into that category as well. He might not even realize he does it sometimes. If no one really points it out how are they supposed to change even if they wanted to?

It didn't help that Pran's other friends also ignored him as if it was the biggest slight ever. That would make him think he was more in the wrong. I'm not saying lying is a good thing, but they know how Pran is as a person and should understand his reasonings enough not to out right kick him out of the friend group (for how ever many weeks that was). Pat probably would have kicked Wai's ass if he wasn't Pran's bestie.

Thanks for this. I find a good number of kdramas tend to switch at the ten episode mark and it makes me feel like I wasted my time. It's so frustrating because the general story and acting is great.
