As a BL fan for 6 years now I know that when 2 people fall on top of each other (whether they like or hate each…
I'm pretty sure I've seen falls like that where no kiss happens. haha I get your point, however. The accidental fall onto the lips is ridiculous. How does that even happen? haha The ones that turn into a kiss make more sense at least.
But it's kind of cool now that you point it out. The stopping of the kiss was the fall. Way to switch it up. haha
Everything you can think of in order to drag it and not show any kind of physical intimacy.
I mean there are teens that stayed together for the rest of their lives. Although it wasn't a common thing from what I remember--it did happen. Less likely now it seems. Probably mostly depends on the persons own emotional/mental development. Something that can vary from person to person. Some people just never "grow up".
As cute as I find this drama. I have to admit I'm growing evermore frustrated with Japanese BLs. On completing…
Personally, culture wise there is a lot of intimacy in these shows. I mean things like hugging is normal and friendly where I come from, but that is not the case in Japan. It was the main reason my friend from Japan was hesitant to hug even when studying abroad over here--knowing it was okay to hug in my country. My point is . . . there is a lot of intimacy based on the culture these shows are coming from. With that said, at first I thought it'd be better to have at least a final kiss--simple or not. When I first started reading/watching. Knowing the culture better I have gotten used to how things are done and don't feel the need for the kind of intimacy my country is used to. Their way of showing things touches me in ways other shows can't. It's not better or worse--just different. I like it. Of course there is always room for improvement.
Another point, I have noticed the comedy based ones tend to have a kiss if we are lucky. The more realistic type vibes usually have at least a simple kiss, but can have a make out session or even near porn levels of action. The ones made this year seem to lean more to the comedy genre--which are probably more mainstream and can't push boundaries as much. Just pointing out the ones you listed and the one someone mentioned already. All the no kiss ones were comedic. The ones with some intimacy and/or kiss were not. I'm glad some of the calm not comedic focused ones came out this year. Ones which had done well so far. This is already a positive sign.
Edit: This one is more of the realistic type vibes, but since the story conflict is what it is . . . I'm not technically expecting a kiss. Then again, I heard the show is catching up to the unfinished source material and is liking going to do it's own thing. Soo who knows. Tis a mystery. haha But there was a simple kiss already . . . just not with the main couple.
I mean the best way to mention things is briefly like that in my opinion. As if it isn't a big deal--which it isn't. He seems to have a tendency to try to casually make it so things aren't misunderstood. I'm glad it wasn't a flat out declaration he felt needed to be made for whatever reason. Mainly because it's really no ones business and shouldn't get to that point.
That would be annoying. No matter how "perfectly" you phrase things in interviews people will find a way to twist it or misunderstand.
If they kiss. Hope it won't be awkward thought. Like as if it was two dead fish smacking each other in the lips.…
Did you watch only one half of the movie Seven Days? I know it's technically two movies so people tend to miss the fact that it is more like two parts of one movie.
Anyway, there are ones where they make out (more than you seemed to watch) and aren't near porn levels. You know that however. Based on what you watched. So I'm assuming they lack enough emotion and the type of kissing technique you prefer. Honestly, sometimes I am (I'm thinking of a Thai one specifically) wondering how their mouths make those shapes while kissing. It seemed off to me, but I knew they were full on kissing. It was also a good moment. Perhaps I'm just a weirdo thinking about random things when a make out scene is happening. haha
Back to what I was saying . . . The ones that are more comedic in nature are lucky to get a gentle/simple kiss. Probably because it's made for a wider audience and closely based off the source material. Whereas the more calm realistic types are likely to have a make out scene--at the very least--most of the time. This one feels closer to the latter type, but the original story isn't finished yet. It's a bit more uncertain what will happen because of the age conflict. I'm not expecting a make out scene, but who knows until it's over.
I think we have learn to rspect that not every countries aga of conset is 18. For Japan in diff region the age…
I wish more people would admit that this is probably why it bothers them. Mainly because it seems like most focus heavily on the legality. Which may be super important for certain people, but in reality that's probably not the main issue for most. Not that I know how people think and feel since I'm not them. It's just how it appears to be.
Looks like ATOTS is the highest rated Thai BL drama on MDL. Interesting.
That's because Bad Buddy wasn't given the extra points all the other shows get. In fact, just on ratings alone it should be 8.6, but for some reason it never went back up. I mean even Not Me got the same actual rating as ATOTS--at about 8.4. The only reason Not Me is a point lower is probably because it has gotten less interaction on the site. As in less reviews, comments, watchers and so on. Even Untamed is sitting around 8.4 yet it has enough extra points to get to a 9. The watchers and reviews are at least double of Bad Buddy. So if we take all that into consideration . . . with extra points Bad Buddy should be at least 8.8
Side Note: I calculated all the ratings together--including the average of the episode ratings. If you end up wondering where the info came from.

For a while I was wondering why Japanese ones are hardly ever talked about, known or getting any love. haha
